  2. Congrats!!... We actually totally changed our minds and have now planned our May 2013 wedding in Punta Cana.. amazing all-inclusive resorts there!! ) And no one in our families have ever been.
  3. Morning Ladies, We're working with Jamie Dimitry for our photography and last night I mentioned to him our parents concerns of us having a symbolic ceremony vs. a civil one. Since we are pretty set on symbolic to make things less stressful for us, he mentioned we should hire Pastor Rick York to perform the ceremony. Is anyone else planning to go with this route? I hear if you go the symbolic route the wedding coordinator performs the ceremony, and it is a very cheapened experience and people realize it's not the real deal..   4. I think I missed a few pages.. ( I think that's awesome your getting your brother to officiate!!!.. I wish we had someone close to us that would do it. And I agree with your last sentence, my FI and I have been saying this since the very beginning of our planning.
  5. Ahh okay. ) You sound just like me, only skinnier. I'm about 5'6'' and I def need my tummy toned up, I too have no muscle tone!. Do you have Microsoft Excel? If so, I can create us a template to fill out once a week, bi-weekly or monthly with our measurements and we can attach a photo. I'll go search for a proper measurement guide now. )
  6. Aww.. I'm sure you will do great!.. The one I did wasn't anything major at all. I felt like I didn't work anything out until the next day.. lol I need to weigh myself as soon as I get home. Or in the AM. My guess is about 137-140. Should we do actual measurements? I always forget exactly where to put the measuring tape.
  7. Ahh.. that's AWESOME!!.. I'm soo excited. ) I tried Body Pump and it was fun, but way too much for me starting out!.. lol. I got my mom to do it with me and she refuses to go to any classes that they offer. Kick-boxing would be soo much fun!.. I can't convince anyone to go with me though.. I guess I need to learn to go do this stuff on my own.
  8. Ahh.. That's awesome!!.. We def seem to be on the same path!!.. I too am trying to drink as much water as possible.. I've become addicted to Coke Zero's on the weekends although they sound more healthy than regular cokes, I'm sure they are terrible.. But def H2O all day at work. ) what type of exercising are you doing at the gym?   9. Seems like your on the right path!.. For me choosing the destination was the toughest!.. As far as symbolic ceremony.. We are going this route. I told my mom and she understands and agrees it is the best route to go but not tell anyone. On the other hand my FI's mom flipped!.. she was not happy, but after looking into the requirements for a civil, my FI and I agree that Symbolic was the route to go. We will not tell anyone it's symbolic bc we too feel they would not see it as holding as much meaning. but to us, that will be the day we say our vows and become husband and wife. and that will forever be our anniversary date.
  10. Ladies, Here is an exercise/food log I just created in Excel. Please feel free to adjust it to fit your needs. I plan to print mine out for each week and keep track daily in a binder. Or in a folder on my harddrive so I can include progress pictures if I decide to not print the pictures. Hope this helps! ) I also recommend a pedometer. You can get them on ebay for less than 3$. I'm not sure of the quality. but mine will be here in a few days so I'll let you know. Idea came from VirginHealthMiles.com. I was enrolled via my work but the only thing I always remembered to do was wear my pedometer, so it went swimming and died on me last weekend. So I cancelled the program. Soo after searching the exercise/diet forum, I have come up with; what I think is a great idea. ) My Daily Life I work full time (8-5CST) and go to College part time (for this Summer 1 online class and one night class on Mondays). My Fiance works out, but he lives in another state. I meet up and ride to work with my mom every day (Monday-Friday). She refuses to stop by a gym or run with me. And once I get home the gym is too far away. Last week a friend told me she wanted to start running.. So I met her after getting to my car and we "walked" for "less than 30 minutes". I was super bummed and then had to go home and run on my treadmill to feel like I accomplished anything. So I plan to start running on my own. I run on my treadmill (I put it in my living room so I can run while watching tv.) but now I want to run outdoors as well so I plan to walk at the local high school track with my trustee iPod. ) I'm not planning on doing Weight Watchers or any type of diet pills. Just Low Carb diet (Steaks,Chicken, Salads) and light exercise. (running, walking, etc. and crunches) I have love my Xbox Kinect, when I have time. I've found Zumba to be super fun without being afraid of being embarrased at local classes and I like Fighters Uncaged (Great Cardio). Soo back to the bright idea.. I'm searching for a lady in my position that would like to buddy up with me. If more are interested we can do a small group. We can e-mail bikini or shorts & sports bra pics once a month. I say email (bc I don't want my pics visible to the whole internet world.) and we can check in with each other daily, weekly, or however you want to. We can talk about our meal plans for the week and exercise goals and accomplishments. My goal is to lose about 30 lbs, but I more or less want to shed pounds from my belly and tone up regardless of the # of pounds lost. Transalation: I want to look hott in a bikini!!! and get a size 6 wedding dress!. ) If anyone is interested please let me know. On here, or PM me or even e-mail me. [email protected]
  12. I too love my extensions!.. I have very thin hair and I feel much more confident when I have them in. I was able to get some in my exact color without having to die them.. Mine are also real and the clip-in kind. Once I find the site I purchased mine from I will share it here. )
  13. I have recently been debating on whether or not I want to get one due to rashes, etc.. But since I'm a little less than a year away from our Big Day, I guess it's better to go ahead and try it out to see how the results come out. Are any of you ladies from Birmingham, AL or Atlanta, GA area that can recommend a good place?
  14. WOW... That is AMAZING!!!! Congrats!!.. What foods did you eat? Did you do 3 meals a day with snacks? Right now I'm doing the following: Breakfast: Plain Special-K with a fresh banana and 2% milk every morning. Lunch: Salad or Turkey sandwich Dinner: Salad or Lean Gourmet meal. On weekends-baked/boiled Chicken or Steak. My plan was to avoid breads and pastas.. But it's too hard!!
  15. Goood Morning Ladies!!.. Soo.. Since I am soo addicted to this site for all my wedding needs and all the great girls I've met.. I figured this would also be a great place for weightloss support. In the last year I've gained 20 pounds which I didn't realize (or think about) until I started trying on wedding dresses!!.. My goal is to get toned up before our wedding in May 2013 and to keep myself in that shape. ) I had great results with Adipex from a weightloss doctor. I was on these once a day and a low carb diet, and dropped weight insanely fast and had tons of energy (but seeing as I was barely at 130 and these were pills for obese people, I decided to stop taking them and then I totally fell off the band wagon and started gaining again.) I'm thinking Low Carb diet since it seemed to work, amd I want to steer clear of diet pills. I have also started running/walking again. Anyone else doing a low carb diet and walking/running?.. I need all the motivation I can get!.

  20. I am.. Our Save the Dates are going to be DIY picture magnets. I have a pic of a sample one I made in my album on here. The wedding website with be across the bottom or the side. ) I can't wait til we do ours!!.. I think next weekend when we do a few we are just going to see if his brother will take a few good shots since he loves photography. And then hopefully within a few months we can get with a photog to have professional ones done. I also want to have a wishes book (like a scrapbook) with our engagement pics and questions for family and friends to answer.
  21. Thank You!!.. I'm sooo excited. But I have soooo much to get done!!.. We haven't done our engagement pictures yet. It's been tough trying to coorinate with each others schedules. But we're going back to the Centinial Olympic Park that he proposed to me at and try to get some good shots and hopefully come up with 1 we love for our Save the Dates. ) I just bought my Save the Date pic dress Sunday after trying on 70!.. Hope to get our Save the Dates out by the end of June. And our invites out by July-August. (I'm trying to keep up with your timeline)
