  1. I would first ask your families and the people that are most important to you, and get their honest thoughts and opinions. My fiance's family goes to either Disney world or Universal every year for Thanksgiving week. I thought it was great to have everyone together like that. Although my family weren't too happy. But since it's your wedding everyone should be able to come and each of your families can all be there together. I personally think it's a great idea though!.. Just ask them for their thoughts. )
  2. Thanks for sharing!!.. Def let me know about the wine and beer if you find out. ) Our families are big wine drinkers rather than mixed drinks kind of people so that would be perfect!!..
  3. May I please ask how much the reception at the wet bar is and what yall plan to do. We are thinking of doing this option as well. May 29th, 2013
  4. If you want to buy items to make do until then... Dollar tree is your best friend! The have plates, cooking gadgets galore, and anything you could possibly need. Looks like yall will be getting to register for all kinds of great and useful goodies. )
  5. Sooo cute!!!.. Thanks for sharing.. I think I'm going to see if someone will do this for my shower, if I have one. )
  6. Thanks for the tip! I just printed a test Save the Date and it smeared. ( Can't wait to see how yours turned out!!
  7. Thanks for sharing Jenny.. ) I thought smearing might be an issue. I'm still tweeking our invites and Save the Dates.. But I'm hoping by week after next I can do a test print of both on my moms work computer. ) Fingers crossed it works, otherwise I'll be back on the hunt for a good and good priced printer. )
  8. Ahh. Great items!!!.. My fiance and I just went in halvies and bought a stainless grille to stay at my house since I have a house and he has an apt. Def a great investment!!.. And great for invited friends over. ) A green house? That is awesome!!!.. I wish I could be 1/2 as healthy as you!.. hehe.. I understand.. I live alone and fill my pantry.. I've told Alex I need a BIG pantry bc I tend to overbuy at the grocery store.. Maybe I need a smaller one so I will only buy what is needed.Seems like a smarter plan there. :-/ Ahh sooo cute!!... You think I could just have everyone send me recipes?.. I love trying new things. And if it's someone else's favorite you know its got to be good. ) I see a new forum in my future. ) Recipe Share.

Pillow Cases... Also can never have too many Coat Hangers (If anyone is like me and had to go out and purchase 2 buggy loads of these while moving into my new home, you'll appreciate registeringfor these.. They add up quick. Storage containers for left overs Glass Pyrex dishes. I probably have 5 box sets of these and it never seems to be enough. Pots and Pans Stock Pot (For dumplings, chili, and other big meals.) If you have a glass stove, note these cost a lot more. 10. Thanks for sharing this!.. I will highly recommend registering for extra towels and bath room essentials if you plan to move from a small house to larger one or apt to a house. You don't realize how much this stuff adds up until you have to complete a bathroom or two. Also, I agree with not shying away from the high-ticket gifts. Many brothers/sisters and cousins will probably want to go in on a bigger gift that they know you will enjoy and probably be a gift that you wont just go out and buy for yourself.
  11. Ahh.. Thanks Girl!!!... I swear, I don't know what I would do without you!!!!
  12. Great minds, think alike. ) Sounds like some great and useful items to put on your registry!.. Cookbooks are def a useful item and great for you having to eat gluten-free. BBB is def a great place for many many items. ) Oh... I have to share.. Anyone wanted to do a not so traditional shower.. It's called a recipe shower or party or whatever you would like to call it. Guest bring you a recipe on index cards. You can premake cute ones to have the host include in the invites. They will write down their receipe and then as the gift they can bring you all of the ingredients you will need to make that meal. Great for those of you whom live with your fiances already and for the ones who don't. Trust me, you'll end up with plenty of meals for a couple of weeks and wont have to worry with grocery shopping. I love to cook, so thought this would be a great way to try new things.
  13. Thanks girl for sharing.. I'll share this with my fiance and get his thoughts.. We seem to already have all the big items we could possibly need or want though.. His family insisted that we register for small things for the guests that want to buy us gifts. But I will def check it out. Thanks! What type of items did yall do?
  14. Sorry Ladies.. I haven't had time to check back in and a see many of you have responded... Please don't hate me.. I have no clue how to do the multiple post thing..
  15. I just emailed it to you!.. And thanks for sharing the link!!.. I never can seem to keep up with it.
  16. I agree, no since in having the friend be ordained if you will be doing all the legal work in your home state.. I wish we knew of someone that would be willing to preform our ceremony for us. I think my FI's dad would be my top pick and the FI refuses to even consider it. ( Maybe someone will come up in the next 11 months.. )
  17. Sorry, I mixed my replies to both of you in my reply above.. About the presence being the best gift.. I totally agree!! Why were they yelling at you about this? Because you want to put it or because your not mentioning registries? We wont put our registries on out invites.. maybe just our wedding website once we get closer to our AHR date. I'm a 3rd way done with our Save the Date list and were already at 75 families which is about 180 persons.. We seem to have a rather large family, well more my fiance. And we are only expecting about 30 to come to our DW and everyone that can't make it are telling us they wouldn't miss the AHR, but we all know how things can change with people. I wish people would save their money and just be present to either event, that's def the best gift to us!!
  18. Thanks for the advice!.. Very true, always need new towels!!.. And sheets! ) As far as kitchen stuff I myself probably have enough kitchen things for two kitchens but we were thinking pots and pans are always a great investment, but I know they get pricey. ( But I love to cook, so new kitchen gadgets are always great!! I think we will def opt-in for Bed, Bath and Beyond. They always seem to have neat things and stuff we could always use, plus you can't beat those 20% off coupons every month. ) We were thinking Lowe's or Home Depot.. But then again I don't really know if you can register for things there.. Was just a thought since with having your own home it seems like a trip to Lowe's is always needed. We just bought a grille and I have a lawnmower, weedeater and all the outdoor necessities.. One great thing about already having an established house, huh?! ) My Fiance and I live in different states but once we get married we will be getting a house in Georgia where he lives.
  19. As my Fiance and I were running this morning, we were wondering what in the world we should register for and where we should register at... I have my own house that I have lived in for over 3 years, so I pretty much have everything to fill our house once we live together in our new one. My fiance has also been out on his own for a while now and has a lot of things on his own.. Does anyone else also fall into this category? If so, what are you registering for and where at? One of my pet-pevs.. I hate to ask for money so we refuse to ask for that from anyone. If that's what people would like to give us, then that's okay, but we would like people to have options of buying us items they can choose from and know we will need or want. Plus I want us to be able to go to a store or two and scan all kinds of goodies together. )
  20. I haven't sent our STD's out yet.. I'm hoping to get them out in the next two weeks though. ) We are doing invites (Passport ones) I will probably get those out around September..
  21. Aww.. I got excited for a min, but then noticed you are going in March... We're going in May.. Are you having a full reception at ME? or just doing one of the free dinners?
