Good Morning Ladies, I noticed all of the forums begin to run together after a while, so I wanted to create a forum just for the 2013 Mejestic Elegance (Punta Cana) brides. 2012 ladies are also welcome! ) I thought it would be nice to share where we are with our planning, projects, etc. I'll start first. Wednesday, May 29th, 2013 for a Gazebo wedding at 6:00 Wedding Dinner: Confirmed for Asadito Steakhouse at 8:00 Colors: Orange and Pink Save the Dates: Mailed on June 25th (DIY fridge magnets) Invites: DIY Passport invites.. work in progress. hope to get mailed out within the next two weeks. Thank you! ) Yes ma'am, it is FREE. It also has a great wedding budget to keep track of everything you purchase. I most of all loved how I could add all of my invited guests so that they could find their names and RSVP. I've heard nothing but great commentsfrom our guests about how informative our site was with information. You should def create one. ) Yikes! Yea, beach bags can be very pricey. Mine were $1 and pretty large. I have pic on my profile showing how I put an extra large towel and 2 liter coke and it had plenty of room. What are your wedding colors? I can try to help you find something online that you like for a reasonable price. )

There is a thread floating around about what to include in the OOT bags.. I'm going to possibly include: Pasminas, Aloe, Sunscreen, Chapstick, Hand Sanitizer, Kleenex, Flavor water packets, gum, mints, first aid kits, and whatever other goodies I can get my hands on. you can view all of my photos by going to my profile for ideas. Oh and the beach bags are there too, I got them from Old Navy for $1 in my colors. (pink & orange) The dollar tree, Michael's and Ebay will be your best friend for most OOT bag items. ) I saw a neat thing on someones website where they asked their guests to submit music they would like to hear at the reception. Oh and we have requested that people RSVP by February 29th, 2013. This gives us 3 months before our wedding date to confirm how many expect to come so we ensure we have plenty of OOT bags and goodies for everyone. And also, so we can confirm all of our dinner details and sashes, fans, etc. But I'm almost certain people will still be booking 2-3 months out.

the WC has a few what in mind to meet with just before the wedding? We booked our flights last week. ) but none of our guests have booked anything yet. Over the weekend I asked a friend if he thought he was going to come and he said "yes, I'm just waiting for my invitation". We decided to send our save the date around the year mark to let friends and family know to start saving if they wanted to attend. and I'm hoping to get our invites out since so people will think more seriously about saving and booking soon rather than waiting til the last minute when flight rates sky-rocket. Last week my mom (in Bhm,Al) could have gotten round trip flights for around $500, and this week she said it was around $700 (YIKES!) Hoping they go down again with us being so far out from the date. I see you are going to the Bahamas though, which tends to be a lot less. Round trip for us to Bahamas was going to be about 350-375.

Congrats!! and welcome to the Forum! Have you gotten a photographer yet? Thought about decorations, OOT bags, reception, wedding dinner? I am getting married 11 days after you in Punta Cana. ) We just reserved our travel arrangements. I'm working on getting our invites out within the next two weeks since we sent our Save the Dates about a month ago. When do you plan to send your invites?

Can you post the pictures? I tried a google search on both dresses but both pulled up several different dresses rather than just one.

For all of our friends and family that are not "married" we went ahead and added a guest. And for our RSVP tab on our wedding website we added the persons and then guest, just in case they wanted to bring someone. We figured the more the marrier. ) But also single rooms cost about the same if not more, so I figured more of our single friends and family would be more opt to attend our DW if they could bring a friend to split the cost of the room with. If I were single and was not allowed a plus 1, I def would not go to another country alone. We also saw it as their guests could entertain them as we will not be able to be with each and every friends and family member at the same time during the duration of our trip. I have 2 cousins that are older and still sort of live with their parents, I just added a Save the Date in one envelope for each. As far as invites, I may do the same thing. I'm worried the parents may not be able to come, but who knows if my cousins will want to. So that's why I want them to feel like they can bring their bf's and come even if their parents decide not to.

Good Morning Ladies!.. I have now been looking into samples of chair sashes.. I don't want to blindly purchase a bundle and it be the wrong color. I am looking for orange and fushia or a lighter pink.. Preferring anything other than organza, but I just purchased Organza samples from Tableclothfactory.com Here are the exact ones I'm looking for. Rose Pink and Orange (I found them online at partywareusa.com, I believe they are located in NY and they want to charge me $15 shipping for 2 samples. Which I think is absurd.)

Okay.. My almost final. Sorry to drive you ladies nuts, but I honestly would be lost without you!!.. Should I keep or omit the last addition? The mention of the reception. I thought it would be nice to know who is interested, but also wanted to let my family and friends here in AL know it's in GA (where I will be living) Also, I centered everything up a bit more. Last thoughts and suggestions?.... )

Oh Sorry, I didn't notice you were having the wedding/reception at Jellyfish.. I should have read your profile. Hmm... Where does your photographer plan to stay? Or is it a local photog?

I believe it is 325, 350 or 375. We are are going to use Michael Steingard or Jamie Dimitry. They are not the preferred Photogs for either resort, but we have personally talked to both and both said they don't have to pay fee's since they visit so often. They also stay at the resort for your wedding, so maybe this is a reason no fee has to be paid.

Welcome to the site!! You will love it here! ) All the brides are very helpfull and super friendly. Don't rule out the Majestic Elegance because of children... I too have children attending my wedding (about 6 or more). Both accept adults and children, but the elegance offers an adults only section for those who wish to have a room and pool and other locations for adults only. It is called the Elegance Club.Some of my guests are booking those rooms, but most will stay in the regular Jr. Suite and Swim Ups due to having children traveling with them. My travel agent is now very experienced with Punta Cana. Her name is Babs aka Barbara Vong from Wright Travel Agency (BDW's preffered travel agency) We expect about 30 or so come to our wedding as well. We are opting for the free wedding dinner at the Asadito Steakhouse, you also have the free option of the See and Sea. Or a private buffet for a per person rate. I forgot the rate, but another lady should be able to help you. Oh sorry.. those choices for free dinners are at ME, but I know MC also has free dinner options. You probably want to call a TA ASAP or the resort to see what days they have available for ceremonies.MC and ME seem to be very popular for weddings.
