hmm... I too figured our single guys wont carry around the bags. So I purchased blue reusable totes and "welcome to our wedding" bags from Orientaltrading.com, I'll decide later which we will end up using for the single guys.. Maybe for the single guys you could find those burlap bags or plain bags?.. or a paper bag? (either white, tan or in your wedding color) With an extra goody item just for them?..

Great thread ladies!.. I too was wondering how I would get everything to my destination.. shipping is out of the question for me since I too have heard horror stories of items not arriving.. I'm hoping to pack lightly for my clothes (fingers crossed this works, I always want to pack my whole closet) FI is a light packer, so maybe he can fit most of his clothes in a carry on so I can have a lot of room in his checked bag. Also, remember ladies can have a purse + carry on and guys can get away with a laptop bag + a carry on. Or at least this is what I have been told. ) Most of my family doesn't even think of taking a carry on... So maybe they will carry wedding decor items for us. ) But I'm really hoping to keep the decor and goodies to a minimum. What about raffia fans??.. the box mine came in was huge!.. I'm wondering if they will take up a whole suitcase on their own.. :-/

Hankies are a great idea!!.. Sweat is def a no bueno! Wondering how you can place them in their seats without them flying away though?.. :-/ I'm giving everyone packages of kleenex in their OOT bags but I'm sure many will forget them for the ceremony. I'm planning on placing fans on each seat. I bought Raffia fans from OrientalTrading.com, wrapped the handles in orange ribbon and made pink bows for all of the fans, but put them on with a straight pin if the guys want to take theirs off. My fiance and I went to an outdoor wedding a few weeks ago and trust me... Guys will def use the fans!! My fiance got himself one so that he could have the breeze.

( I know some great photogs after much research... they aren't on site persay, they live in Canada but ME does not charge them vendor fee's since they stay at ME for their stay in Punta Cana and they do a ton of weddings there. ) Here is my email from Jamie Dimitry, but the other two gave me the same exact info. There photos and edit styles are all mostly the same also. "I normally charge 2600 that includes, that includes a full day day wedding shoot, fro around 10-11am till 11pm, guys, girls getting ready, ceremony, family pictures, wedding party, bride and groom, beach pictures, dinner and party pictures, I also do a slide show on my Mac for the evening when the party is going. You normally get 700 plus pictures on DVD all edited and colour corrected and high res. Now for the trash the dress it can be done the day after in the afternoon or the day after that. You get about 3 hours of photography on the beach and in the jungle, which in the end you get around 170 plus pictures all edited and high res on DVD too. Since I'm down there I would waive my travel and also to note that you don't have to pay an extra 300 that the resort charges for outside photographers, because I stay at the majestic." Welcome to the Forum! ) What resort are you planning on having your wedding at? I can try to help you with or lead you in the right direction for your questions.. I'm a May 2013 bride for Majestic Elegance.

As far as the tables go, I believe it depends on whether you do private or semi private. Semi-Private at See and Sea and the Steakhouse seems to have the long regtangular tables and I've seen some ladies that have a private reception/dinner have the round tables. You may just have to ask your WC what they have available for the dinner location you have chosen.

Sorry Ladies.. I have been MIA.. With Summer, Work, and being sick it has seemed to be impossible to stick to my low carb diet!.. ( But I am finally feeling well, I think I lost 2 pounds from the virus I had over the weekend.. That was the only positive thing about it. lol.. I had awesome results with my low carb diet this time last year.. Baked Chicken, Grilled Chicken, Steak... (Yummy!!) Who would have thought this foods are so high in protein and keep you fuller longer.. Well I never knew.. But now I am going to officially stick to it again! ) I'm hoping to loose about 10 pounds now, but more than anything about 2-4 inches and be toned up. ) Would love to hear what you ladies take for lunch and snacks. ) Is it possible to stay away from breads and pastas?

I planned to wait til closer to time but with them being out of stock for what seemed to be ever, I figured I better stock up while they were back in. ) I doubt I need 60, but I figured I'd rather have too many than not enough. Boo about Hobby Lobby, but Ive heard great things about the Christmas store. I need to go check one out for OOT goodies. ) Believe it or not, I bought my ribbon for my fans at $1 Tree. I purchases the satin kind and I not sure how many rolls I bought.. I'm wanting to say I got 10 rolls of orange, and still have some left.. I should have done calculations when making them.. :-/ But one roll did quite a few. I learned after a few what length I needed, then started pre cutting strips rather than making a mess of my ribbon, which helped a ton!

Those compacts are super cute!! I'm thinking I should add those to my bridesmaids make-up bags I'm making for them. Being a thrifty bride is an awesome idea! I chose the Elegance because it was newer and reviews stated the food and room decor was much nicer.. Many of our guests wont be traveling with children, and I read the Colonial has more families at their resort, which means a lot more children. We have maybe 5 children that will attend though. And I like my guests being able to have the option of staying in the adults only section that ME offers. Also, the price isn't much different between the two resorts. ) Also, I wanted to get married at the Gazebo and I liked the one at ME better, not sure why since they are similar, just my sytle preference.
