I completely agree. I guess they feel like if they have to pay for a vacation then they should get a choice in the location... Umm wrong!.. lol Aww. boo.. ( But maybe we will cross paths ) Are yall planning any excursions? I've seen some people are having boat rides, etc. I've been so worried with other plans, I haven't even thought of these things yet.

I've seen that a few ladies are getting married at Jellyfish. I'll probably just stick with our 6:00 slot if we have to, but does anyone have a price list and pictures for Jellyfish? )

I honestly think they make up 80% of what they say. If they have 3 slots, (10, 1 and 5) then how in the heck would me moving my 6:00 to 5:00 cause a conflict. I don't like that anyone can book a time without a deposit. Because for all they someone holds a time and then forgets to release it. I voiced this to our WC and let her know we would really like 5:00 or 5:30 if she could please keep us updated. Of course she hasn't responded. Are you set for a certain day or still waiting? I see your profile has no date. With you having a 7 day window I don't see how all slots could be booked.

I've already told Jamie we wanted a first look session. ) I too want to be able for us to have that moment together and then get ourselves together before walking down the aisle.. Knowing me I will need a make-up check between the 1st look and walking down the aisle. )

She just responded. She stated there was someone with a wedding just before us!! And that they do 4 to 5 weddings a day!! YIKES!!!! That was the main reason we choose a Wednesday over a Saturday. ( We are in the process of booking Jamie Dimitry. ) We are going to do a first look before the ceremony so hopefully we'll get lots of great shots then. Jamie also mentioned we could do family pics before the wedding.. Hoping it all goes well. I've requested the WC let me know if 5:00 becomes available. I just want to make sure we have planty of time for pictures without missing our dinner and guests. That's great that they came around! I had the exact same problem before, and it made me soo mad and sad at the same time. But everyone is also starting to come around to the idea and actually be happy for us and a tropical location. )

My vent for today about Majestic Elegance.. I emailed my WC to see if we could push our ceremony up to 5:00, because our photographer stated 6:00 is getting to be too late, and the WC replied with "There our no earlier time slots on that day" It's a WEDNESDAY!.. How in the heck is there nothing available? I also inquired as to how many weddings they do in one day. Can anyone else comment as to how many they have in one day?.. I'm really annoyed with them right now. (

Good Morning Ladies, I thought it would be great to have a forum especially for decor at the Majestic Elegance, so please feel free to post comments, tips and questions. ) For those planning to take your own decorations, especially chair sashes, do you know the fee to have to WC tie all the sashes to each of the chairs for the ceremony and for dinner? Or does someone in your family have to do this duty?

You are correct, the Elegance has an adults only section "the elegance club" My wedding will be May 29th at the Majestic Elegance and we will have several children until 18 attending. ) We choose ME because it was newer, and seemed to be more upscale. Also read reviews stating the restaurants on the ME side are better, but I can't comment on this as we have never been to either resort. As far as pricing goes, I'm wanting to say ME was only $50 total more than MC, so we chose ME. ) Can't wait to see which resort you choose!

I, along with many other ME brides am doing a semi-private. I choose the Steakhouse, because I liked the menu better, but the view of the See and Sea is amazing. I've heard nothing but great reviews about both restaurants. )

I have seen that many girls are having an 11 or 1 ceremony time, I hope they respond to you!. I think some are having the ceremony then a boat ride before dinner ande some mentioned an early cocktail party before dinner. Sorry I'm not much help, our wedding is at 6:00, but we are trying to move it up to 5:00.
