Has anyone heard from Mayte lately? Like has anyone got any recent quotes from her? The thing is I sent her a deposit on March 7th. A week later she replied saying that she had received it and that she would get me a confirmation number from her boss to send to me. Two weeks later I asked if everything was okay, and she responded that she would reply the next time with the number. I'm still waiting on it. I also sent her a file with some pictures on March 20th so we could get a quote (we just put a deposit on the date) and she responded a week later saying she'd give me a quote by the end of the week, and I still have nothing. I understand that she's very busy, so I'm trying to be patient with these things and I'm fine if I have to wait 2-3 weeks for a response. But I haven't been getting any real info back. I'm starting to get really worried that something is wrong with our date, and we are booking our travel very soon. Advice? Words of wisdom?

Love that so many ladies are wearing lace dresses! I fell in love with this dress online and ended up buying it. It's a White by Vera Wang from David's Bridal. It's one of the lightest dresses I tried on and it's so flowy, I think it'll be great for the beach.

Is there a running list of everyone's dates at Jellyfish? I know there was one in the past, but is there an updated one? I think it could be helpful to see who's already got what dates.

Hey there ladies! I'm a Canadian bride from Ontario getting married to in Punta Cana in May 2013. Our ceremony and reception is set to be at the Jellyfish Restaurant, which I found through this forum, and our resort will be Dreams Palm Beach. I'm in the middle of planning and super excited we decided to change from a local wedding to a destination wedding. Essentially, I get my dream wedding. Looking forward to being a part of the forum!

No worries AshTooner!! TD will be able to make sense of it. Just double check that all the information matches before it's sent because they added in an extra number for the account the first time I did it, and it was the biggest hassle trying to get my money back to be sent to the right account.

We've chosen Dreams Palm Beach as our resort. Some family members went to a Dreams Resort in Mexico and they raved about it (and the one is super picky), so we knew it was a great resort line. We're actually getting quotes right now from our TA for our wedding in May 2013, as prices are available 14 months in advance (or so we've been told) for flight/resort packages. We ended up sending out our save the dates with just the wedding date and location. Once we get our quotes, we'll send out the invitations with travel booking info updated on our website.

For TD Canada Trust, mine was a $30 fee.

I originally wanted to stay at Dreams Punta Cana but I've heard that Dreams Palm Beach is better for wedding groups and that it is a newer resort. I also read a whole bunch of reviews that often the ocean near Dreams PC would become too rough so no one would be allowed to swim in it. Dreams PC is also very far away from the airport so that's means more money for a transfer. We decided on Dreams PB because we're getting married off the resort and it's closer to our site. Plus the honeymoon suites have hammocks. Score!

I'm curious to hear what the cancellation policy was for Dreams? We were supposed to go to the Dominican last year on a family trip, but my fiance had knee surgery a few months before the trip and was not allowed to fly. We were unable to attend and our portions were non-refundable and we couldn't even put that money towards another trip at the same resort. That was for the Princess All-Suites resort, but I'm assuming it must be similar?

My save-the-dates are out. I'm waiting on Mayte to confirm that she received my deposit and my date is really all mine before booking my resort. We're getting quotes for Dreams Palm Beach right now. I'm still over a year away, but I'm really looking forward to seeing how everyone else's wedding pans out!

We'll be there next May, so I have plenty of time to look through *****'s new photos and get lots of inspiration. I'm so glad you had such a great experience with her!!

I am having my girls dresses in dark teal/oasis colour, and I'm going to have the holding white umbrellas instead of flowers. But for my centerpieces and such I'm going to have white flowers interspersed with a little bit of green. We're going for more of a rustic vibe than a tropical vibe though.

I'd love to see the breakdown of your costs if you don't mind sharing since that's about the same number of people we'll be having. We're also having our wedding at the Jellyfish and I haven't received a quote yet, but when I add things up on my own I get concerned. Did you choose a meal package or have people just order off the menu?

I'm a 2013 bride as well! Getting married May 28, 2013 at the Jellyfish restaurant in Punta Cana and I think we'll be staying at Dreams Palm Beach but I keep waffling. I'm finding it really hard to choose a resort only based on pictures and reviews! We don't have the money or time to do site visits, so I really am basing it on other people's opinions. I'm just worried we won't make the right choice and end up at a resort we don't enjoy. I think this is the most stressful part! So happy to have found this thread. I'm looking forward to hearing about everyone's planning.

I was just wondering if one of you ladies could PM me the banking information for doing a wire transfer to Jellyfish, those of you that have already put down deposits. I tried wiring my deposit yesterday but I got a call from the bank today saying it didn't go through (I haven't found out why yet) and who knows when I'll get the info from Mayte. Thanks!!

Would you mind sharing what pricing you received through PM? Mayte sent me the brochure for Jellyfish yesterday but I'm assuming it's all old prices because it's the one found on the website. I'd be really interested to know how much more things went up because I was expecting this to be relatively priced.

Hello ladies!! I'm new here. My fiance and I just recently decided to change our wedding plans and go with a destination wedding in Punta Cana. For a few weeks I was stressing about the weddings at the resorts not being private enough for us, and then I came across the Jellyfish Restaurant yesterday and I've been excited about it ever since! I can't wait to get a date set and get the ball rolling. Just a quick question, I sent an inquiry about wedding dates through the contact form on the restaurant website. I'm wondering if I should just send an email to Mayte directly at the gmail address or if she will respond to my inquiry through the website. Any suggestions?
