  1. Yikes, you're making me feel super unproductive since I don't have half of what you have done and my wedding is in February! But way to go, it looks awesome!
  2. Yes it is! This thread and their website has tons of info on their restaurants, activities and ammenities too.
  3. Based on Pilar's email when I asked I took it to mean $50 for the rental and hanging the lanterns.
  4. They have a few colour options - direct quote from Pilar's email: "YES WE CAN RENT THE COST FOR 20 LANTERS W ILL BE $50 USD THE COLORS AVAIALBLE WHITE, PINK, GREEN, ORANGE."
  5. When I was booking my date (booked in April 2012 for Feb 2013) I called the resort and spoke to Pilar - it was much more timely and easier to get answers to my questions/confirm locations that were available. During our conversation she tentatively held my date (for 2 wks I think??) until it was officially booked via the proper channels ie paperwork and deposit. For other matters I have emailed her a few times and the turn around time can range from 1-3 weeks, but she maybe faster for booking enquiries? Hope that helps!
  6. They do allow hanging lanterns (no sky lanterns tho) - Pilar just quoted me $50 for 20 lanterns...they will hang them so I'm sure they can figure out some way to do!
  7. I was thinking about the same thing the idea - I really don't want to pack vases so I'm hoping the resort has some to rent! If anyone knows please fill me in
  8. I dont think it is tacky - with a DW it is not like you can take your bouquets home so make them work for you and pull double duty, we are definitely considering it too. Many traditional at home weddings use the girls bouquets on the headtable so I think its a great way to do centerpieces for a DW, esp. if you only have a few tables.
  9. I think she means for guests above the 25 included in the package.
  10. Not sure on most items you mention but I do recall that lanterns were about $20 for 10...not sure on sizing or colours options but a former bride posted it on here this past summer. Hopefully someone else can help you out with the other questions, I'd be interested to know too!
  11. WagJag has a deal today for the Toronto Bridal Show Sept 28-30, $15 for admission for 2. http://wagjag.com/?w=89116&utm_source=bm23&utm_medium=email&utm_term=Main+Deal+Read+More&utm_content=Half+Off+Bridal+Show+Tickets&utm_campaign=Multi+-+Toronto+Bridal+Show+-+Sept+9+2012
  12. I'm having two - one thrown by the bridal party (tropical martini night theme) which is really more of a girls night out type idea with fun drinks and snacks. I am saving all the traditional shower stuff (games, watching bride open presents etc) for my family shower which is being thrown by my aunts. I wasn't sure if I wanted a shower but both of these groups insisted on it.
  13. Catamaran Charter info: I have come across several different companies, some websites offer lots of info and pricing others not as much for private tours. La Bonita - very detailed and helpful when I emailed her! +52 998 8738318 http://marinalabonita.com/ [email protected] AMSTAR DMC Representatives (this is the tour company at Now Jade) Now Jade Resort Tours Desk Staff [email protected] +52 998 872 88 88 Ext.: 4222 Catamarans Cancun 1-866-273-5347 [email protected] www.catamaranscancun.com Cancun-Discounts www.cancun-discounts.com [email protected] Emotion Cancun 1-888-277-5755 www.emotioncancun.com [email protected] Marina Cancun/Samba Catamarans 1-866-932-1881 MARINACANCUN.COM SAMBACATAMARANES.COM [email protected] Entertainment Plus & USA Transfers Cancun 310-909-8634 www.entertainment-plus.net [email protected] Seasons Tours www.seasonstours.com [email protected] Vista Travel & Tour 1-800-860-5917 www.cancunvista.com [email protected]
  14. Has anyone booked a private catamaran tour? I have done some research but if anyone has any suggestions or recommendations I'd love to hear them!
  15. Let me know if you want me to get a photo of the fabric up close
  16. Thanks!! We are both very happy with the suit! The shirt is linen too - but we didn't order it from studio suits - FI picked it up a few months ago at winners. It is short sleeve and he is thinking he would prefer long sleeve so that shirt might get bumped to some other pre-wedding event.
  17. Here is FI in his suit from Studio Suits - we went with the light hawaiian grey check fabric (which added $40) but the lighting isn't awesome in these pictures so it is hard to see the fabric clearly. The jacket is slim fit and the pants straight leg. Don't mind the wrinkles we were so excited it came he just put it right on - although for travelling from India folded in a bag I think it looks not bad for wrinkles! If anyone has questions let me know - we are definitely impressed and would highly recommend!
