  1. Forgot to add - they call it cobalt blue - this should take you to the them http://www.lechateau.com/style/jump/Skinny-Solid-Tie/productDetail/Ties-BOGO/269049/?navAction=jump&navCount=0&categoryNav=true&selectedColor=Cobalt
  2. My girls are also wearing Bill Levkoff Horizon and I found an exact match for ties at Le Chateau in mid-late August of this past summer. The store I was in only had 2 but I was able to order the others online and they were very quick delivery - I think 2 days? They came in skinny or traditional width and also had matching pocket squares. Hopefully they still have some for you!
  3. My photog (Sweetfire) has it in the contract that for packages above 5 hours dinner break must be included...but I believe the day pass required for outside photogs would also allow them to grab a snack if necessary throughout the day.
  4. The resort will iron and tie the bows for you at a cost of $1.00 each. So best to bring them flat.
  5. I got quotes from about half a dozen different businesses - we ended up going with Catamarans Cancun. I have been dealing with Cecilia and she is super fast on returning emails (usually within the day). http://www.catamaranscancun.com/cat3.html is the website. Good luck!
  6. We are doing oot bags but handing them out in advance (going to be doing a lot of visiting in the coming weeks) - we didn't go crazy on the bags though - bags from vistaprint, travel mugs from factory 21 and then a few little things from dollar store (bug wipes, tylenol, tums, first aid kit, nail file, safety pin etc). As our favour we are doing a charter catamaran cruise (4hrs)...took lots of pricing but got deal we are happy with and think is reasonable for a nice extra to say thanks for coming. it is about $1400 for our 40 guests with open bar. the cruise includes snorkely equipment too so i think everyone should have a good time!
  7. Coloured tablecloths or overlays are extra. Only white is included in the package. As for weather, I'd say check out a weather site...I know it cools in the evening but not sure how much.
  8. I'll give it a try! 1 - the fabric for the pergola is included (just plain white i believe there is an extra cost or you must bring your own if you want colour). The flower medallions are included with the Divine package (Pilar just told me this, didn't really advertise it as such), they use tropical flowers which match your wedding colours. Also in the divine package is a floral arrangement for the judge's table during the ceremony )(that can be used elsewhere during the reception). Any other flowers ie for wedding party, chair decor etc are extra. 2 - Not sure - we aren't bothering with bringing napkins down since our colours our blue and white so the standard white they provide will work just fine. I am making table place cards though so the wait staff can identify who gets which entree (ie steak will have dark blue background, tuna light blue, vegetarian white or something like that). Menu cards are up in the air right now, I have read the resort provides them sometimes and brides didn't even realize that, I may do a single card for the table? 3 - It is best to send Pilar pictures of potential centerpieces and get a quote for her, if you go back to late summer of this year on this thread we had a discussion and I posted three options that pilar had priced (if memory serves $65 - 130ish) each. 4 - sending you the planning form now. Good Luck!
  9. We booked Sweetfire Photography and part of her pre-wedding paperwork includes scheduling and noting must have photos...below is from that list, which has room to expand if there are any other photos you want but I thought it would help give you an idea. Schedule of your day Photographer Start time Bride Getting ready Groom getting ready Ceremony Family/group photos (Shot list required, see below for more information) Newlywed images (1 hour recommend before sun sets) Cocktail hour Reception Speeches Dance Cake cutting Flower/Garter toss Bride’s family: Bride with Mom Bride with Dad Bride with Mom and Dad Bride and groom with Mom & Dad Bride and groom with Mom, Dad, brothers & sisters Bride and groom with Mom, Dad, brothers & sisters with their spouses & kids Bride with brothers and sisters Grooms’s family: Groom with Mom Groom with Dad Groom with Mom and Dad Bride and groom with Mom & Dad Bride and groom with Mom, Dad, brothers & sisters Bride and groom with Mom, Dad, brothers & sisters with their spouses & kids Groom with brothers and sisters Combined Families: Bride and groom with both sets of parents Bride and groom with parents and all siblings Friends: Group shot of everyone attending the wedding Entire wedding party
  10. Studio Suits online is great - we have ordered all of our suits from them - groom + 4 groomsmen all in hawaiian linen, plus 2 fathers (one in the tropical linen blend and one is italian linen) plus an uncle who was so impressed he got himself one. There is a whole thread dedicated to it on here, most of the linen suits start about $100-115.
  11. We ordered our travel mugs from Factory 21, had to pay duty tho. It worked out to a few bucks each per mug. We are very happy with them - Factory 21 was very easy to work with and shipped them earlier than expected.
  12. Just to update all of our wedding party plus our fathers have now ordered and received their suits. Everyone is pleased them! My FIL ordered a vest and my Father ordered Italian linen (a bit more $) which had more options for colour. We had a bit of a hiccup with one GM suit - they sent a `partial shipment`for him to try on and then email any changes...his jacket was tight through the shoulders (looks like it was an error on his measurements from this end, not theirs). Long story short, Studio Suits sent an alteration guide for a seamstress to let his jacket out a bit. That hasn`t happened yet but I think it should be fine, hopefully! We didn`t think to get any photos of the suits on the men but I`ll be sure to post photos after our wedding (in less than 2 months!!). Oh and Canadian brides - we ordered all these suits at once (4 for GM + 2 for fathers) and were only charged I think $65 bucks for duty (on about $1k worth of suits) so if you can bundled orders you will definitely save on duty compared to shipping individually.
  13. Maybe take a trip to a store like Moore's or Tip Top Tailors to get an idea of jacket fit and measurement? Or does he have any friends or sibs who are similarly sized he could borrow their suit jacket and figure things out from there? We got lining in the pants (with light grey hawaiin check), probably would have been fine without but for $5 bucks we figured why not...plus it makes the pants feel a little nicer. The jackets are lined too (similar fabric I believe, but I'd have to check to be certain). For pant type we looked around on the site and saw a list with description of what each style was like (ie mid rise, roomy thru hips, tapered leg etc).
  14. I priced the same things thru Pilar and Maya floral (BM bouquets, bouts and centerpieces) and the resort was only minimally more than Maya Floral ($5-10 bucks per bouquet, within a buck or two on bouts). I thought both quotes were INSANE for flowers since they aren't that important to me so I'm doing real touch now.
  15. I asked Pilar about a similar set up with 3 vases, submerged flower with candle on top and was quoted $130 per table. I also asked about more simple arrangements and was quoted $80 for the tropical with orchid and bird of paradise and $70 for the yellow arrangement. This was about a month ago I asked. (I attached the photos I sent with my pricing quote to Pilar below).
  16. Quote:Originally Posted by nikkole025 Do you have to let Pilar know ahead of time what your quests are choosing for food? Or can they choose on the day of the wedding? Thanks, Nicole You need to let her know 2 wks ahead of time, you can pay for the option to have them select entrees on the spot but I don't know how much that is. Most people are used to selecting entree options in advance for a wedding so I didn't even bother to get more information about the option to select during the dinner.
  17. Thanks for the feedback ladies - Pilar did respond to my email (in about 24 hrs no less!) to say 2 options...I know we have a few vegetarians with us so I'm going to do 2 "meat" entrees and then the veg option. I replied to Pilar's email to ask/tell her that was plan, if we only have 2 choices I don't want one to be vegetarian when I know most people won't go for that by choice.
  18. Alright ladies so I thought I had the menu situation all figured out but I want to be certain before I put the entree choices out there for my guests to select. Can I offer 4 entree options to my guest (using the two from eternity and two from divine) or do I have the narrow my selection to only 2 options (plus vegetarian)? Any help appreciated!
  19. Quote:Originally Posted by juicybride I have a question about the chair bows. What kind of material did you all use and where did you buy them from? Is there a website that sells them for cheap? I got my from ebay for cheap - I bought my chair bows and table runners to match from seller "vlovelife". Here is a link to the chairbows - I got 50 so I could have extras if necessary but they also sell singles, 10s, 25s, and 100s. I haven't received my order yet but I will post a pic when they come in! I also picked up some petals, table decor (faux diamonds for a bit of sparkle) from the same vendor. I also know some brides have used tableclothfactory.com but the shipping to Canada made ebay a better deal for me. Good luck!
