can someone remind me how to post pics on here it is not working for me !?!?!??!?! so many beautiful dresses here i am never going to want to stop shopping! but my dress is finally in and i am going for my try on appointment next week and will post pics. i am having anxiety that i am not going to lvoe it. i am the girl who had to go back and try it on again and fell in love the 2nd time, now i am having doubts again and am nervous and i am hoping it all goes away when its zippered up lol this forum is not helping!! lol i am nervous also that my fiance wont love it, he is pretty simple and probably expecting me in a plain flowy dress or a princessy one and i went straight mermaid. heres a reminder of the dress. ..... cant wait to see how i feel next week!!! also to the girl with that lace mermaid dress you look stunning and that other mermaid i will find it again and comment... i am in love with it as someone else said " im in awe of it " its gorgeous.

thought I would share my invitations with you girls since others had done so. . . i was going for a theme of "beach classy" i think i succeeded although now i sort of wish i went a little more colorful and fun. however they are done and going in the mail as soon as my personalized stamps arrive not sure how to put the picture right in here . . .

Hey girl, I would be really upset too but when I picked my date I first asked them to give me a list of dates available where I would be able to use the pool deck because I had my heart set on it and then i chose from there. Did you pick your date without any of that info ? or did they say it was available and now its not ? drc does a lot of weddings so you have to ask those kinds of questions first. I would see about changing the date. LEt them know you want the pool deck or sea side grill and to tell you available dates for it and then when you pick the date have them email you a confirmation letter stating that is YOUR location. it most likely was given to another bride already. I guess you have to decide whats more important, that date, or the locations you want. to me the locations were more important.. good luck!!! also a side note, i saw some pictures of weddings on the beach and they are lit beautifully and it looks reallt really pretty. so if you are stuck with the beach.. dont panic!

that backless lace dress is gorgeous.... i would look really FLAT in it if you know what I mean so i had to make sure i could wear a bra lol can you post a picture of the front of it im dying to see the front!! love it

I agree with you here, the centerpiece i picked has a lot going on so if something simple is $60 i can just imagine what mine will be! any ideas on what you end up doing to make it cheaper please share I am not spending $90 on each bouquet ( i have 5 bridesmaids ) because they are going to hold them for 20 minutes and then take a few pictures and then put them down on a table somewhere so no way am i spending 500$ on them lol flowers are not really important to me, so its hard for me to accept lol when i was at drc i did see a wedding taking place where the girls held cute little clutches instead of flowers- it was actually very modern and i am trying to think of a cute idea as well ( or fake/cheaper flowers ) lol

Mine are in the process of being done and I have to say that yours are VERY VERY cute. . i especially like the way you did the response card with the "reserve ___ beach chairs". . . i will post a picture of mine when they are done also i am making my response date 2 months before so that i can have an official count and prepare OOT bags and other things like that although people already started to book without invitations lol do you think its silly to ask for a reply 2 months in advance ? also i am doing a plated dinner and the resort needs my dinners 1 month in advance so i guess i have no choice

The resorts DJ is Visual Sounds i have a feeling you were emailed by an outside vendor. [email protected] is the email address the resorts DJ had contacted me from, you can email them and ask if they are available, they responded pretty fast and seem very nice. I also read some pretty good reviews and he sends a sheet for you to fill out so he understands the style of music you like. The DJ is my biggest worry but I am taking my chances with them!

Anel is not available for mine either but i am not worried because if you look on their site which i dont have the link to right now but its around somewhere all of them are pretty similar. i have seen some reviews with slideshows from the other photographers from drc and they do excellent work. i think one is francisco and one is santiago. the videos i seen do not have me worried at all dont stress ! theres a bride katie beth if you look at the reviews and her pics were gorgeous and taken by one of the male photographers... also when i did my site visit i took some photos by the pool with these iguanas they were carrying around and long sroy short the pics were done realy well and i went into their studio and saw them all working hard. also it was one of the guys who took the pics just didnt get his name

And I think we'll be taking them right at sunset. Hope this helps!

Hey girl, okay so I looked through and saw some pictures of both dresses you tried on because you sound a lot like myself and I feel like you should stick with your gut and wear the mermaid dress. I also tried on some dresses that looked just like the allure, i may have even tried on that exact dress and i loved them all, so pretty and flowy and SAFE. when i tried on the mermaid i had no idea if i would like it and i loved it, i felt sexy and definetly like it fit the beach scene a little more. it was hard for me to take off those princessy dresses because they really are beautiful but i did get a different feeling with the mermaid that made me choose it. I think the mermaid is a little more unique and unexpected and its important to feel sexy & beautiful on your wedding day. I know if i showed people pictures of me in dresses like the allure they would all be like "wow i love it" because whats not to love really ? but the mermaid added more character and like a previous post stated, that day there is only going to be ONE dress in the room and noone is going to be thinking about why you didnt wear a princess dress when you are rocking the mermaid and it looks damn good!!!! I had to go back to the store and try on my mermaid one more time because i kept remembering how "pretty" i looked & felt in some others & then when i put it on again i just knew it was my dress. sorry for the long rant but i feel like i know how you feel lol. go try them both on again and tell us what you decide!!!!

As you know the cost for external guest is $150usd per vendor & per person. If you Videographer comes with an assistant you need to pay $300usd.

not sure if i commented yet but i absolutely LOVE this dress.... the way the material sort of goes sideways, the sweetheart neckline and the dropped waist remind me of mine and just got me so excited to put my dress on again. sometimes i still wonder if i should keep looking but then i saw this pic and im like wow i LOVEEEE it and then i realize its similar to mine lol are u going with the long veil ? i bought one also but now im afraid its really not beachy.. not sure if i should stick with it... heres mine on the model, give me your opinions baout the long veil please Quote: Originally Posted by chantal09 Me at the first fitting! I am planning on a rehearsal dinner the night before the wedding and Lorena just let me know that even though im only having about 18 people, I still have to pay 15$ per person plus all the taxes etc to reserve an area in a restaurant. does anyone have an opinion on this, like should we just show up at a restaurant early and ask to be seated ? i really dont mind spending $$ but their dinner would be free if we all ate seperate, so it is a little silly. i dont want a restaraunt closed down, just one long table set for my bridal party. . . also havent seen a review in a while. . . . . where did everyone go ? lol

Hi, i am bringing an outside videographer because ive looked a lot of the resorts photography work and its very good quality, you should look at their slideshows- very nice. they do allow outside vendors, lorena just wrote back to me and let me know my videographer would be 150$ to come for the day and if he brings an assistant its 300$. i think its a little steep but their video companys is poor quality so i feel like i have no choice ( and like they should lower the cost lol ) So just let your coordinator know, and be prepared to spend 150$ for any outside vendor. it is allowed definetly!

thank u girls sooo much!!! the picture doesn't do it justice... the pick ups have lace patches inside of them that u cant see because the dress is HUGE but anyway i appreciate the compliments... also i tried on so many different head pieces and went with a long veil . . . i wantedi t mainly to have in some pictures because i love those pics with the long veil blowing in the wind. . . but im starting to question that choice also... lol i might go with a simple flower. any opinions ? and in the pic i have a birdcage veil which i dont love this one really but im thinking of trying more on lol... my sister said its not beachy though at all and is for more of a city wedding... do u guys agree ?

Hey i would liek to give my advice..... 1st i think u should try on dresses that aren't similar to either of these because you really never know what you might love once you put it on. 2nd if its solely between these 2 i think the 2nd one is more bridal and a little sexier & i think you want people to be liek WOW ... which is why i would choose the 2nd. If you have worn dresse just like the 1st one, you might not get that BRIDE feeling. they are both pretty similar to me which is why i think u should think outside the box and try on some different styles. however they are both beautiful but #2 takes the cake. its your day to shine!
