Noelle, i really am not sure because when I was there we went to Desires and outside of Desires is a nice area, but it is covered... it does not have the couches all around. if you tube it one of the girls on here took a video of it...... BUT on some sites people are calling this desires terrace lol if i had to guess I would say thisis an area outside of one of the restaurants and it does look like an awesome cocktail hour location....... just wish I knew where it was and if i could have it LOL

I am still up in the air about my cocktail hr location..... why do u say u would have chosen the jacuzzi over the beach ? Lorena has me down for jacuzzi but i actually asked for the beach & im also interested in finding out where the pic that i posted in an earlier post is.... whats ur take on the cocktail hr locations and do you have a pic of your set up ? ? 3. i cannot find you on facebook lol can you request me ? emily todaro... let me know! thank you

can someone please tell me where this is !!?!??!?!? i went to DRC over a year ago and cannot picture this location. i see someone put that its the desires terrace but ive seen the video and other pics of the terrace and it looks liek it has a roof over it.... this picture threw me for a loop because it looks like an awesome cocktail hour spot but i cant picture where it is !?!??!

I didnt think about using Desires but its actually not a bad idea... hmmm i have to say though when I visited dreams i dont remember it being as nice as it looks in the pics.... could be because it was at night- and i was having many drinks LOL but in the pics it looks awesome.. there is also a pool table not shown in the pics... either way- thank you !!

I believe it is around $500 to rent the furniture ( a little ridiculous ). They set up couches on the beach... a while ago I seen a picture and it looked beautiful but will people in their bathing suits be standing right next to us ?- i cant seem to get an answer on this. The cocktail hour locations aren't really great thats the one part that has me a little bummed.... i dont like the jacuzzi either & my 3 year old son will be there and i can picture myself telling him not to put his feet in it every 5 minutes!!! ahh what to do.. what to dooo! also i wouldnt really decorate the area besides the lounge furniture because it will still be pretty light out around cocktail hour time... so I would just have a simple set up and worry about lighting for the reception instead.. i anyone has more info on this or any cocktail hour locations please share with us! i believe its rounded couches with little tables and decorative pillows ?

Hi- I think the most important thing you can do is confirm the locations, times, DJ, & photography. Everything else after that is stuff having to do with the menu ( which should be done in advance but can always be done ) and decor which I believe I heard some people say they have even made changes once they went down there just a few days before their wedding ! SO get on top of your locations and times because the resort fills up quickly and you most likely are not the only wedding that day! Write your coordinator an email.. label it urgent and get a confirmation on the times and locations that you want ! thats my advice

HI GIRLS, for anyone who took the time to answer my questions- thank you SOOO much. I am going to bring my own chair sashes and will order the flowers and centerpieces from the catalog! I have another question ( what else is new ) - does anyone have an opinion on the lounge furniture set up on the beach for the cocktail hour ? This is what I orginally confirmed with Yamina, but when Lorena wrote back ( that one time ) she siad she had down for me the jacuzzi area. I emailed her telling her it was a mistake but I havent really heard anyone on here talk about the lounge furniture set up. I thought it was a cool little feature sitting on the beach on a couch having cocktails but I wonder why noone else really does it.. hmm maybe I made a mistake ? Do you think its not private enough and won't have the look im really picturing ? Any opinions on this would be great, or anyone who did it maybe you have a review to steer me in the right direction ? My fiance is not crazy about the jacuzzi idea.... so I think we are now between the lounge furniture on the beach and the desires terrace.... H E L P

hey girls so i have a few questions that i cant seem to get answers too.. maybe you can help.. chair bows: i cant really see paying $5 per bow when i looked on amazon.com and they have them for less than $1 each. Are most of you ordering your own sashes and bringing them down with you ? Is there a fee for them to put them on which basically makes it cost the same amount anyway ? please help shoes: im having my ceremony on the beach... so im assuming ill be wearing sandals ? I love heels so im getting a pair for the deck reception anyway to wear for a little and for some pics... but is the runway hard enough to wear heels on or should i find really dressy white snadals ? flowers: how much about are you guys spending on your bridesmaids bouquets ? mine is included in the ultimate package but i dont want to spend a fortune on flowers.. i think i saw in the catalog that bouquets are at least 60$ ea ? is there any way around this ? spa: does anyone know about how much it will cost for the bridesmaids to get their hair done at the salon ? centerpieces : i have the pictures of the centerpieces but there aren't prices next to them so I am not sure how much any of them are... are most of you bringing your own or have any idea about how much the cost of the ones in the catalog are ? this is another thing i dont want to spend a fortune on! I don't want to spend on my destination wedding what I would have spent at home LOL so i am trying to figure out where I don't need to go crazy.. any help with any of these questions would be very helpful! Hi, i also want to do a private dinner.. mine is going to a rehearsal dinner too instead of a whole welcome dinner but im wondering how much they charged you ? I would probably have about the same amount of people.... are they giving you a section of the restaurant or did you have to pay to have it private? im still confused about this aspect.. plesae let me know when you have a chance

okay girls this is totally un related to dreams BUT if you are bored and can give me an opinion id appreciate it.. SO 2 days ago I boughy my dress. i put it on and fell absolutely in love with it, i know its the dress i want to wear- no doubt about it. HOWEVER when i went to pay for it and get my measurements taken she aked me if i was ordering it in the color i tried on...... because the color i tried on was champage/ivory. The champagne is very subtle and underneath the ivory & the rest of the dress is IVORY. I was DEAD SET on getting a bright white wedding dress.... myself and my friends all though the dress was white until she told us it wasnt!! anyway they convinced me that i loved it as is and to not change the color but its 2 days later and its all i could think about!!! The consultant told me that the designer I ordered uses a very bright white and it cheapens the look of the dress. she said the one i tried on was the richest looking & i would be dissapointed with the all white, but i can still change my mind!! The dress comes in either champage/ivory/silver, /ivory/ivory/silver or white/white/silver. not only did i NOT get the white but i got the CHAMPAGE ( just saying the word scares me ) i am totally freaking out. am i going to look dirty next to my white tablecloths ??? AHHH GRRR someone help me what would you do !?!? my friends and family thought i looked beautiful and think im insane and dont want to hear about it anymore. =**(

I sent out my save the dates at the 11 month mark and now im 7 months away from my wedding, I was thinking of having them in the mail by September so that will give people 5 months to reply. Everyone whos invited already knows they are invited but I can't wait to see how many official replies I get

Ok ladies so I decided to use a photographer from the resort and the resorts DJ because it is much easier. I am going to have a DJ whos a friend of mine make me an awesome play list to send him, just curiious on your opinions.... The photographer is Anel.... i only heard good things, but is there anything I should know ? The DJ is Ceaser.. he seemed really nice in his email just wondering again if theres anything I should be aware of if any of you have used him also ? my guests like to dance and its a pretty young crowd so we are looking for a New York style wedding on the beach in Mexico... lol thank you again for all of your help & good luck to everyone whos wedding is approaching.. im jealous.

I finally heard back from Lorena... BUT some of the info she had on my wedding from Yamina was WRONG which really upsets me and she doesn't seem to know anything about the menu Yamina agreed to with me, which really pisses me off!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I spent a lot of time going back and forth with her with that... this whole thing is stressing me out.. i feel like I am going to miss something really important.. i try to organize my emails as best as possible but theres so many different elements and i keep realizing i am missing stuff or that im still unsure of a lot of things.. GRrRrR sorry to be the negative person on here today- but i needed to vent lol. if anyone has that official form that drc sends you once you make the deposit to fill out with the info like about the wedding party.. decorations.. locations and so forth please email it to me at emily [email protected] thank you girls <3
