  1. Oh my god - I didt even realise these existed! Now I have another thing to think about, I knew I should have experienced more weddings before I planned my own!
  2. So glad I just found this thread! I would also desperately like to get in shape for my wedding, I had a baby 2 years ago and never lost the weight from it, I thought preparing the wedding would be just the incentive, but instead all the celebrations and bridal parties etc are making it even more difficult! The main thing I wanted to cut-out was alcohol, particularly the white wine that I drink a lot of, but I just cannot bring myself to drink vodka sodas, ugh! I think it is important to find a fitness programme that works for you, and also that isnt too ambitious, I for one always just give up on the whole thing if I am not able to do it for 1 day! There are lots of gyms and palces for spa treatments where I live, which I completely plan on indulging-on before the wedding gets closer. good luck with the weight-loss ladies, any motivational stories would be very welcome!
  3. We got engaged on our 4th year anniversary, it seemed like quite a short time but we have been living together for 2 years and have a baby boy together, and the timing felt really perfect
  4. Beautiful dresses ladies! I love that not everyone is sticking just to white anymore. I am newly engaged so just getting started on the most exciting part of all - the dress. I grew up in Edinburgh and used to walk past this wedding shop every day and imagined myself getting married in one of the dresses there, so if I find one I like from the shop I am going to get it ordered. But now I am just starting to realise about all the things APART form the dress, the shoes, jewellery, underwear...so much to think about! http://www.emma-roy.co.uk/ good luck choosing dresses everyone!
  5. Yeh I think you should offer, maybe if he is treated to a good time he will put extra work into the photos we are using a family friend who is a professional photographer so he will obviously be invited, and casting my mind back to other weddings I think it is customary to invite the photographer.
  6. My vote is in, hard to pick they are all lovely. In the end I went with del Sol (number 1) because of the way it draws attention to marriage as a traditional, cultural ceremony that is celebrated in so many ways aroudn the world. The photo made me instantly think of marriage as an ancient tradition, which is perhaps a 'better' thing to focus on than beautiful shoes and dresses.
