I made menu cards based on the menu Annie gave me...figured our guests would appreciate knowing the more traditional Mexican dishes...but I think you could totally get away with not doing them. I've also seen a lot of weddings display one menu card per table near the centerpiece, which gets the job done, but is a much easier/quicker option! Caletas may even provide small table tents in front of each item to tell guests what it is. Past brides may be more able to shed some light on this.

Hey girls, I was just thinking about this and wondering if anyone else had the same problem. When we put down our $1000 deposit...it came out of our bank account as $1070. Both our bank and Adventure Weddings said it was not on their end. We use TD Bank. Did anyone else have this problem? I'm only asking because I'm concerned that when we pay the remainder of our balance (which is A LOT more than $1000) we will have an even larger fee. HELP!

Not sure about you guys, but the new coordinator, Blanca has been so great! She has already emailed me 3 times and given me more information over the last 2 days than I ever received in the months prior! She sent me a "Details" booklet that I thought you might find useful...full of decor details like flowers, cake, ceremony & reception site. It won't let me upload it because it is too large, but if you are interested, just PM me and I will email it to you.

Thanks lvietti! That's exactly what I was hoping! We'll be there in November on vacation and would like to do do a trial. Thanks for the info! There must be some mistake.

Hi everyone, Have any of you had or are planning on having a hair/makeup trial done before the wedding? We're going for our site visit in November and I would like to do a trial, but with Annie gone, I have no idea how to go about setting it up. Also, is anyone aware of the cost of this? Is it included or an additional charge? Anne, I think I remember you saying you had one done a while ago in the city...is that true? Thanks! Lauren

I'm sure the other brides could lend more detailed info, but we're getting married in November and when I asked Annie about this, she said there would be a very short amount of time after the ceremony for pictures (approx. 20 mins). I assume in late December you may have even less. She suggested we to a "first look" photo shoot before the ceremony, but we're don't want to abandon the tradition of not seeing the bride until I walk down the aisle. She did say that if you get married on a Sunday, you have more freedom with time and can add the extra hour to the beginning of the day rather than at the end. Or maybe do a "Trash the Dress" photo shoot the next day when you will have no time constraints. Just a few things to think about. Hope this helps.

We are moving over to Secrets after the wedding for our honeymoon! We've stayed at Secrets (in Puerto Morelos) before and LOVED it! I love that it's brand new, too. It's beautiful but a little too pricey for our guests. We're doing a site visit in November and are staying at Dreams. I'll let you know how it goes!

This is the pricing listed on my most recent proposal. Not sure if any of this info has changed or increased in price. The Mariachi Band is an additional $800/hr with a minimum of 2 hours. A Tropical Jazz Trio Band is $450/hr with a minimum of 2 hours. A DJ is $490 for the event, but you can also bring an Ipod and they can hook it up into their system. They also have fire dancers (from the Rhythms of the Night show) that all of the brides say are AMAZING! They are an additional $300 or $450 with drummers. Hair and makeup isn't included Bride's Hair is $150, Makeup is $120 or you can get both done for $220. Bridesmaids- Hair-$80, Makeup $60 or both for $120. Hope this helps! Good Luck!
