[email protected] Also their was someone who emailed me and for some reason i cannot find you email so am unable to respond...to whomever that was please email me back so i can send you all the resort information i have. I am currently at work and on this site on my phone so i may have missed questions/a few posts. As for food, we did the steakhouse restaurant and we loved it! The onion ring appetizer was to die for! As for the signing paper work before or after i dos....i believe we did it right before the idos/kiss. Then walked back down the isle and at the end was champagne ready for us. Back to work i go feel free to email any questions as i dont get a chance to come on here as often as i would like

Let me tell ya "Hello amigo come check out my shop" Is a VERY popular phrase on 5th avenue lol. But have fun! We also went an extra week and that was the best decision we made! Playa del carmen is a 7$us taxi ride to iberostar tucan. So even if you realise you forgot something....town is very close! (We must have gone into town like 4 times!) Have fun! We loved it/had a blast. And alexandra is very helpful and friendly!

I recentl I recently got married at IB tucan. I am also a fellow canuck! All we needed was....passports andbirth certificates. (Now this isnt paperwork however...)...we had to be there 4 full weekdays prior to our wedding day. If you have been previously married i vaguely recall alexandra saying you would need to bring a few other documents but this did not apply to us, so i am not sure. For those planning on buying favors down there.....not a problem!! We made the mistake of bringing everything with us and regretted it. Imagine 5th aveue(main shopping street in playa del carmen) as buy a stripmall...of souvenir shops. Blocks and blocks long! The only advice i have for you on that subject is...do not!!!! Buy the first ones you see! Example: we were not going to have a wedding topper, however when we walked into one of the shops we came across a stone day of the dead bride and groom and decided we loved it! They were asking 45$(us). We tried to haggle the man was set on that price so we thought ok we will finish our ahopping and come back, As we were walking away he turned and said ok ok! How much do you guys want to pay to take it right now?....we said 20....he said 25 and we thought that was an amazing deal and bought it. Literally 3 doors down we spotted the EXACT same thing...asking price 6$(us)!!! All we could do was laugh! Sorry about the long story here haha didnt realise how log this post was oops!

Just got back yesturday we absolutly loved it. Alejandra did a great job! Once we checked in we realised we were upgraded (free of charge) to a junior suite. We were on the tucan side and have no complaints. Beautiful ocean view. ( i would post photos but it wont let me). We had a similar setup as trace2013. (with the exception of a turquoise sache along with the white up front) We kind of winged the whole thing, didnt do any rehearsals and it went great. The flowers turned out beautiful. I gave a vague explanation of what i wanted ( lillies, few roses and anything tropical....tropical colors and no dark red roses)....They were beautiful!. I will try and review some of the resort.... This resort is amazing, everyone really enjoyed it. It was big enough that if you go with a group (we were 39) there was enough room to have "alone" time (time away from rest of the group) but small enough that usually by walking around a bit you could find everyone. I have read lots of complaints regarding food....personally we loved the food. There is lots to choose from in the buffets and they do switch up a few items daily. I just made sure to not have a little bit of everything every meal otherwise i guess it would get repetative. I would stick with pastas one day then maybe potatos/rice the other and such. We did do a few of the a la cartes. We went to the mexican and we did not care for it too much however a few others from our group went and loved it. Its hard to review restaurants i find as everyone has different tastes/opinions. We also tried out the steakhouse and the japanese. Both which we really enjoyed. The japanese was tasty and entertaining as they put on a small show while cooking your food. Our room was nice....not extremely fancy or anything but we thought it was perfect (we are simple kind of people and i guess it doesnt take much to impress us haha) It was cleaned daily, our housekeeper did a great job. She refilled our fridge with beers, water and pop everyday (although we had been told it would only get refilled every second day) She also would make us a different animal out of towels everyday. The night of our wedding we arrived in our room to find it had been cleaned while we were gettign married and she had made 2 swans on the bed out of towels and then decorated the bed the floor and washroom with rose petals. Our one small complaint about the rooms was the shower. It was big and VERY roomy/nice however be aware! the water will occasionally go from really hot (i like my steaming showers) to really cold for a split second then back. But it wasnt SO bad, the first time just caught us by surprise and OUCH! Stuff to do around the resort. I was personally impressed with everything the resort had to offer (keeping in mind this was our first time in an all inclusive, however a couple of my guests did mension that a few other resorts they had been to had a little more stuff but ...still had a good time) A couple of our guests took advantage of the free kayaking, which they enjoyed. A few of us took part in their daily free zumba...SO MUCH FUN! might i add I LOVE MAURICIO, he is one of the star friends and is absolutly adorable/amazing. For anyone artsy or anyone bringing out children they have an area where you can pick a ceramic figurine and paint it. (once you are done painting they touch it up and make is pretty/shiny and looks like you bought it from a store!) This is at an extra charge depending on the size of the item you choose. We attended the discotec a few nights (it was the only place open late night for drinks/ dancing). Everynight we went...it was not busy at all (a couple of the nights our group was the only ones in there) However we still had fun and enjoyed it! Now the theater... Everynight The star friends put on a show (different show every night) at 9:30. This group of folks work sooooo hard, you will see them during the day doing avtivities such as zumba, beach volleyball, bingo, beach soccer and many others then in the evening putting on shows. We really enjoyed the shows (of course some better then others but...all were entertaining) In the theater there are a couple of pool tables as well (need to make reservations to play with the front desk) This was our hangout every evening, we would have some drinks/ mingle and catch the daily show. ALL of the star friends are amazing and extremely friendly. They work soooo hard we were very impressed. I just realised i can keep going and going about how much we loved this resort. so i will stop now haha If anyone has any questions or needs any help that i can maybe help out with feel free to msg me on here or email me at [email protected]

yea 'free' with vistaprint is rarely ever actually free. Shipping adds up! http://www.vistaprint.com/rack-cards.aspx?xnav=LeftItem&xnid=MarketingMaterials&dng=1061557&rd=1&GP=10%2f9%2f2012+2%3a14%3a47+PM&GPS=2584856789&GNF=1 Theres a link for free rack cards. http://www.vistaprint.com/custom-pens-multi.aspx That link for me has free pens. Let me know if those work for you ladies. Sometimes there will be links that will give you .....say....a free pen however nothing else is free, so if you had a free tote bag in your cart prior to clicking on that link. Now you will have the free pen but the tote bag will be at full price.
-
All i did was searched with google for stuff i wanted to get. Example i typed in "vistaprint canada free mugs" then usually it will take you to a site with a link and if you press those links they will open up a vistaprint page with free mugs. And just kept doing that for different items. Then once in a while (such as today!) i would get an email saying "spend over 1$ and receive free shipping!" so i would get all those free items and then would add an option to remove their logo from the items (usually about 2$) .....so now that in my cart it says 2$( for removing the ad) i would get free shipping wow does that sound as confusing to everyone else as it does to me?!? lol i appologize.

Absolutely LOVe vistaprint. I would post photos of all the stuff i've ordered on there but can't seem to post pictures on here yet. So far i have ordered... -over 20 guest bags (all with palm tree logo and mexico 2013 on them.....we opted to not put our names on them as we didnt think people would want to walk around with bags that had our names)---->FREE -2 premium bags(much bigger and 2 color/better quality) for mothers of bride/groom (not free but got one heck of a discount and payed about 5$ each) -25 magnets with a little cartoon character and mexican flag to add into all oot bags.----> FREE - 25 magnets that says i partied with the _____ newlyweds in mexico.----> FREE -Pre travel brochures with tons of travel information. (to be mailed out about a month prior to travel)----> FREE - 30 pens. (all with same palm trees as the tote bags that say mexico 2013 playa del carmen.----> FREE - currently have about 25 mugs (still working on getting more) all with same palm tree logo and these say our names and mexico ---->2013 -business cards to use in key card lanyard.---->FREE -Sticky note pads (2 of them) to put into oot bags for kids joining us.---->FREE - A couple of tshirts for the fathers.---->FREE - A banner for the wedding shower--->FREE -A banner with our names and wedding date that we plan on hanging up in mexico and have all our guests stand under for group photos.---->FREE -Note cards that say hangover kit to use as toppers for our hangover kits.--->FREE Sorry for the long list but im pretty proud of all the stuff we have so far now i am in need of a few more pens but cant seem to get the premium pens for free anymore. I can find free ones but they only offer them in a few designs and i would like to find ones that match the others with the palm trees.

Also forgot to mension I have been working on OOt bags for quite some time now (doing it slowly is easier on the wallet as opposed to all at once) so far we have... Canvas bags with palm trees that say mexico 2013 ( the BM bag says bm and custom as well for mothers of the bride/groom)-- bought from vistaprint Coffee mugs with same palm tree designs that say our names and mexico 2013. we will have small hangover kits each with a couple advils packets, pepto bismol, bandaids, hand sanitozer. then we are planning on making a small " Bride and Grooms favorites" kit. Which will include.. a pack of crystal light, lots of candy( both fans of candy) maybe a small bag of chips and not to sure what else yet. then we have also bought beach balls for everyone, and glow sticks. We already have pretty much everything however i was thinking of buying small bottles with cork tops and having them in each room with a sign that tells our guests to fill them with sand from the beach. ( or we might just fill them ourselves before everyone gets there)

so i just realised i posted on another thread not realizing i had already posted here before (wow my head is in lala land today) We have also chosen the steakhouse for our dinner. Now i am a little confused on something. After dinner is there a dance reception type of party( like we would do say at home)? do they just set that up at the restaurant or? As we arnt too interested in doing that we were planning on doing something more along the lines of.. have the beach ceremony (around 4-5 or so) say our idos. then have a cocktail hour for our guests while we are doing photos. Then head for dinner at the steakhouse (which we have reserved) i believe i read somewhere that dinner starts at 6:30 but dont quote me on this. I would imagine dinner would take at least 1.5-2 hours. then we were thinking after dinner having a break everyone can go to their hotel rooms relax/change into swim wear (we have a bride.groom bathing suits ready:) ) then go for a swim/drinks/hang out at the pool/pool bar. then later on in the evening for those that would still like to celebrate/party get ready/changed and head to the disco. Neither of us have ever been married or even been to a resort so i am not sure if something like that would work out well or not.

We are getting married on the 28th of january 2013. So....it looks like our wedding coordinator is also antonieta! i guess at first i had emailed asking questions and the persons name was connie but im thinking maybe that was just a resort rep. because as soon as i gave the wedding deposit i got an email with some information from our wedding coordinator, looks like we will be having the same one! So far i have emailed her a few qustions last week havnt gotten a reply as of yet. We are unsure what to do yet music wise as we really just wanted a very simple and small wedding. maybe ceremony...cocktail and drinks and dinner. Then we were unsure what to do afterwards. The fi suggests doing the cocktails and drinks after dinner and then maybe getting everyone in swimwear and hanging out in the pool/pool bar (i plan on getting a bathign suit saying bride and his shorts groom )but...i am not to sure yet. We dont care to much to have a dancefloor or anything we thought if anythign maybe everyone go to the disco later on in the evening....however the wedding will be on a monday i wonder how it is in there. Too much to decide and we are both procrastinators and very simple people so it all seems like soooooo much!

Hello ladies. I will also be getting married at the Iberostar tucan january 2013! I am extremely excited (this will be both mine and my Fi's first all inclusive too!) As far as planning go.....we dont have much other then the date booked. So far we have about 35 confirmed guests. Our wedding planner's name is Connie...has anyone had any experience with her? We just put in the deposit for our wedding package today! I have already started on the OOt bags (as doing it slowly/early feels easier on the wallet). We would love for it to be on the beach (as we are both beach bums haha) For anyone who has been to this resort...i have an odd question for all of you......Is it true that the rooms only have showers and not bathtubs? ( i may have read that somewhere)

Hey guys. I would like to start off by saying hello i am new to the site. I have been reading and browsing along for about a week now and thought this site was amazing! all you ladies(i believe some men aswell!) are extremely helpful! So i decided to join! My FI and I are planning on getting married (end of jan or beginning of feb 2013) We are still debating between cuba or mexico (although i believe so far it looks like mexico is our main choice) We have a few resorts in mind but we would like to keep it affordable not only for us but for our guests aswell. Now i know i have read a couple of threads in regards to this but everytime i look for them again i can never find them. Our little problem is....justifying paying per person for a after wedding dinner when the resort is AI....we were thinking of maybe just making dinner reservations for us and our guests (about 20 people) at the a la carte restaurant. How many of you guys have done this and how did it work out? Also, since its our first tiem at a resort....we had a few other general questions like... What time to the bars stay open until usually(im assuming different resorts=different times...but in general) Are you aloud to stay out on the beach until whatever time you want or...does it "close down" sort to speak. pools...can you swim until you want or just like the beach is there a pool closing time? sorry for all the questions but this is ours (and most of are guests first times) at an AI resort. Thanks in advance!
