Toronto Area 2014/2015 Brides
bicoastalimages replied to tygrrlily's topic in Canadian Destination Wedding Group
@@tygrrlily We have a wedding coming up at Beach Palace very soon and then we're headed back to Toronto for the summer shooting weddings & engagement sessions for our future destination brides. @@Ella2015 Seeing venues firsthand here in the Riviera Maya ahead of time to decide is definitely a plus! If you're looking to get married at a non-resort venue wedding planners will be a huge helper to work out many of the details with some of your vendors and oversee the day of coordination. We have worked with lots of fabulous planners and other vendors if you're looking for suggestions! @@Vintage Wedd We have worked with Blanca and KL Events...she's awesome! Yes she actually is FROM Cancun just like my hubby! Here are a few images from a recent wedding we shot for a bride & groom who also used her to design their big day...

Recently Engaged! Planning A Beach Dw For Spring 2015 With Pet!
bicoastalimages replied to NikkiMarie05's topic in Newbies!!
@@NikkiMarie05 LOVE the idea of bringing your little dog with you to be there on your special day as your flower puppy...just as long as lil Roxi doesn't steal the show! I believe there are several pet friendly hotels here in the Riviera Maya. This is one site I know of that tries to keep track of them all... http://www.bringfido.com/lodging/city/riviera_maya_mx/ Happy planning!!! -
@@linaco80 You'll find a ton of tips and resort suggestions here on BDW. Best of luck with the planning process and feel free to browse through our website or Facebook page for a little beach bride inspiration of weddings we've shot here in the Riviera Maya!

@@DianaDT We might be a little biased since we live and work here in Cancun but we think the Riviera Maya still has some of the most gorgeous beaches and incredible beaches around...perfect of course for destination weddings! There are many resort options for all types of budgets and TONS of awesome day trips and activities in the area (swimming in cenotes, zip lining, snorkelling, shopping etc.) And @@acw271011 is right...working with a travel agent is usually the best route to go. Just a reminder when you're choosing a resort to also inquire ahead of time about their policy regarding outside vendors so you'll have the flexibility to hire professional vendors for your big day without restrictions. All the best and happy planning!

@dknight0001 @Pitita We found the day of wedding coordinators at Sandos to be great! Our last couple at Sandos Playacar had a basic wedding ceremony on the beach and reception dinner at El Gaucho for their small group of guests. Everything came together nicely and the coordinator was very helpful throughout the day even ensured gawking guests were kept back during the ceremony. The wedding office is also centrally located and convenient to just pop in to ask any questions to the coordinator before the wedding. Still one of the major advantages for most couples is the ability to bring in your own pro photographers to Sandos with just day passes! For example most hotel photogs only give a few printed images (as mentioned in the Tripadvisor review) while we give ALL edited hi-res images on a USB. Our bride actually chose Sandos for this reason *warm wishes from paradise*

@@dknight0001 @@Pitita Hola ladies & greetings from sunny Cancun, Mexico! We feel Sandos Playacar is actually a hidden little gem. Since it's located as the last hotel in Playacar there is complete privacy with no resorts and natural beach to one side of the hotel which makes a great spot for the ceremony and photos afterwards! Another bonus with Sandos Playacar is if photos are important to you they ARE friendly to having outside professional photographers like ourselves in to shoot. (Iberostar for example has ridiculously high outside vendor fees but Sandos usually honours just a day pass). Here are some photos from a beautiful wedding we captured at Sandos Playacar... *To view more photos from Eric & Krissy's Sandos Playacar wedding, their Trash the Dress session and other weddings here in paradise visit our website or Facebook page*

As photographers we LOVE capturing these awesome "wow" factors just as much as your guests enjoy them! Honestly...when we have a couple add a touch of awesomeness making their wedding unique it definitely stands out in our minds (and photos) and for all of their guests. Mariachis, Mexican food carts (sweet Marquesitas are actually really popular), cigar rollers, props handed out during dancing and photo booths are all really popular. Actually recently photo booths are a really simple but guests seem to go crazy for them (we include a complimentary photo booth with all full day packages)!!! Here are just a few of our recent beach brides & grooms own WOW factors from weddings we shot here in Cancun/Riviera Maya...

@LissaSou Greetings from sunny Cancun! I'm Canadian (originally from TO) living here in the Mayan Riviera with my hubby shooting awesome beach nuptials. To be honest it really does depend on the couple and what moments/elements from their day are most important to them and that they couldn't live without having captured. The very first thing we do is always chat with our potential beach brides and grooms over the phone or even Skype to get a better idea how they see their day unfolding, what they'd like included and help go from there. Our minimum package already includes 5 hours of coverage as we believe that is truly the minimum amount of time to properly cover even basic elements from a wedding. Often we end up creating a first rough timeline for the bride & groom. There's a lot to think about and this is where you will completely lean on having an experienced photographer taking care of your wedding day images (and sometimes even helping to guide you through the day). Here are some images from a recent wedding we shot at Grand Palladium... ***(View the entire album of Jason & Colleen's destination wedding at Grand Palladium here)*** View the entire album of Jason & Colleen's destination wedding at Grand Palladium here

@nattiegams325 We have had brides go through similar experiences in the past with their resorts. I think especially if you were given a quote prior to this in writing in an email you should feel confident to go ahead and bring it up with them noting it as a "mistake" and you would like it corrected I really don't feel as if you should be too nervous or worried about the wording. Try bringing it up with them and then go from there. Hope you get it sorted out & if you have any questions feel free to drop us a line!
