    My wedding is in Jamaica and I am dealing with floral fantasies. I'm not getting the pails to the florist before hand I do believe that they are just bringing the flowers to the resort and assembling them there.

    Hopefully I can explain this For the fonts. After you download the file open 'my computer' and find the file. It is a zip file so you have open it. When you right click on the file there should be a export option in the menu, after you export it you then goto the exported file right click and hit install. For the picture. I'm not sure what program you are using so I only know publisher which is what I used to design all my paper items. So in publisher when you insert a picture. On the top tool bar there is a tab called design (I think that's what it's called or it might be tools) but under one of those tabs on the far left side there should be 'recolour picture' there there are many options to play with. Color, brightness, contrast, just play around with it until you get a water mark like look. To place it in the background under one of those same two tabs (tools or design) there are 'send backward' and 'send forward' buttons. Just send the picture backward and any new text or picture boxes you add after are brought forward. But if your not using publisher I'm sure non of that helps lol

    Lol wow just realized that in my previous post 'bow' did not come right once lol. Stupid always writing posts on my phone. Anyways I did try but either my ribbon is too thin or my hole punch is too large. I would like to continue with the same ribbon I've used for everything else but I think it's too stiff might have to switch to a thicker satin like in the pic

    Hey ladies I just wanted to post this little find. I was michaels yesterday and in their 1.50 bins they had these packs of thank you cards. There are 6 cards and envelopes per pack and different styles to choose from. I picked up 2 packs just for leaving my tips to the WC, vendors and staff serving my wedding.

    Tova - I really like the way the vows are done on those menus! It's more of just a knot than a how and not overly girly. I can't really tell how it was done though. Maybe ill play with it and try and figure it out

    Oh your bringing the big ones??? We are just bring the 11" tall ones for 9.99. they are preassembled which is why the transport is a bit trickier. Im worried about the glass breaking. Im sure just handing them out to friends and family to throw somewhere in the middle of the clothes (to protect it) would work fine. Those big ones are packed fairly well and its all flat so there shouldnt be an issue.

    How are you bringing yours? I have to bring 5 and I have 1 30" hard case suitcase so I'm really hoping they will be fine in that and not break. Ya I understand about the flowers but luckily my flower shop I'm working with has very reasonable prices compared to alot of quotes I've seen other brides get. It's costing us $200 for the flowers for 8 pails (4 tables) and I'm brining down the pails.... The 99 cent ones from ikea lol. Our head table will just have the two bridesmaids bouquets in glass vases on either side of the lantern.

    Which lanterns from ikea are you using??? I plan on using one borrby lantern in the centre (with pillar candle) then on either side one small steel pail with flowers. All of this on a burlap runner

    Oh that is a tough one! Both placements are very pretty but I think I would stay at the natural waist, accentuatating the narrowest part of your body is always the most flattering. Yay for first fitting! I have mine Monday!

    Lol I think this is totally your preference. I would say go with the slim tie but that just because I don't like bow ties and think they kinda look cheesy (unless they are paired with suspenders for a hipster look hahah) but if you like them go for it!

    My gosh you are just so organized I love it!!!! Mainly cause we hav the same date and I'm not organized so it helps me know where I have to be lol I love figleaves.com!!!!!!!! I bought 3 new bikinis that just arrived last week!! I'm fairly small body frame wise but I am definately blessed lol I have to buy bikinis in bra sizes or they just don't work for me. I think they have great prices all 3 of my bikinis cost me what 1.5 would cost me here at a specialty store

    I'm also interested if anyone has any info on hair and makeup from the spa. I'm getting married at tensing pen and they only have one vendor for hair and makeup which I'm not really impressed with, but they charge a $500 outside vendor fee so my only other option is to find another salon in negril to goto day of. I can't seem to find any pictures from Kamala spa of the work they do for weddings or pricing

    Haha vendors nightmare..... Lol I think that I've annoyed the hell out of my florist because when we were working on flowers she kept wanting to use orchids, I really wanted peonies and roses and then a small purple flower and she keeps going back to orchids for the the purple. I must be the only bride that doesn't like orchids and she just didn't seem to get it lol. And I feel like my wedding coordinator hates me, maybe that's just me being paranoid, or it's just the Jamaican way of doing things by I crack jokes in emails but I feel like I'm getting no where lol

    So far me and my fiancé are not doing any kind of sand/candle/hand ceremony. Is that something that's necessary? I don't really like the sand or candle ceremonies as keepsakes after and hand I thought was a cultural thing. The only thing we are maybe considering depending on our budget, is our resort offers a tree planting ceremony where you plant a palm tree on the grounds of the resort. Which is perfect for us and the type of people we are but I'm not sure how much that costs yet and if its more than $100 it probably won't happen.

    Wow I came back to alot of posts of everyone freaking out lol at least it's not just me. But reading everyone's to do lists makes me feel better we are all pretty much on the same page give or take a few items. What is everyone doing for speeches? I'm not much of a speech person and with only 3 hours for dinner and reception I don't really wanna take alot of time with talking. I was thinking just a BM and MoH speech and we will say a short thank you. I'm not sure if there are any other speeches we are 'supposed' to do that would make anyone upset if we left it out.

    yes please post!!!!!! i am 6 weeks out from my wedding and hoping to lose about 10 lbs or so. i have already cut out almost all carbs and sugar. all i ever drink is water and green tea but thats not a change as i have never drank pop of any kind but i do have to try to drink more! i try to eat lots of protien like eggs salmon tuna chicken and shrimp and tons of veggies but the weight isnt coming off as fast as i would like
