Thank God for this forum! It helped me realize that I'm not alone in all of this, and that I'm not the only one being "ignored" by those I've invited. So true about realizing who your true friends are- I used to think that it was only in bad times that people show their true colours, but I guess I know now that weddings do it too

It's your day!!! You're not depriving anyone of anything. They should feel it to be a privilege to be invited to attend your special day! I don't think anyone will take offence, and if they do, that's their problem and not yours!!! I'm having 2 bridesmaids, 1 MOH and FI is having 2 GMs and 1 BM, that is all, end of story! This forum has been a godsend for me! I just recently started planning my February 2013 wedding in the Mayan Riviera. My recommendation would be to find yourself a good travel agent that can work with you on selecting an amazing location that specializes in weddings in a price range that works for you and your FI. Once you figure out your date and place, work on sending out those STDs (save the dates). Any other questions, don't hesitate to ask!
