  1. Congrats & welcome to the new brides!!! larazach, I think I've read somewhere earlier in this thread that some brides have brought their own bottles of wine. I think there's also been mention that the house wine (which is included) served at the resort is quite good, and that there was no need to bring your own. evac, how about taking your guests to the Mojito Lounge (open til 2 am) or the Rooftop Lounge or Cantina Zocalo (both open til 1 am)?

    Hello

to another fellow Canadian bride!!! Congrats on your engagment and on picking a DW! I am getting married at Azul Sensatori, and I know they have a sky deck for private ceremonies. The Azul Sensatori thread is huge, but has a ton of useful information from past and present brides! http://www.bestdestinationwedding.com/t/23412/azul-sensatori-brides-post-here If you have any specifc questions about the AS, feel free to PM me I concur with shan0487- find a great TA! I found one at Flight Centre- I've used them forever, and they have TA's that just do destination weddings. TAs are lifesavers if you've never planned a destination event, which the majority of us haven't! You should also join the Canadian brides thread... http://www.bestdestinationwedding.com/t/74816/canadian-brides Good luck with your planning!
  18. My plan is that after I package everything up in boxes/suitcases and I know how much I have, I am going to distribute to BMs, mom, etc. This will obviously still cost extra, but I think it'll cost me a lot less than if I tried to bring it all down myself. Another reason I have to distribute the "supplies" because my FI is adamant that the point of doing a DW is that you don't have to have all these extras, so he thinks I'm being ridiculous planning all these details. Men are silly- if wedding planning was up to them, we'd be getting married in a pub It'll be my secret, haha.
  19. Yikes, sorry those came out way bigger than I wanted to post!
  20. I could search etsy for hours! It's almost a bad habit of mine Anyways, my first wedding related purchase off of the site is monograms. (My wedding colours are white, gold and champagne) They were made by Mary Ellen of Digital Bunny's Designs - http://www.etsy.com/shop/DigitalBunnysDesigns?ref=seller_info
  21. I've seen some lovely pictures of sunset weddings, but I can definitely understand your stress if this is not what you meant to do. I'd recommend emailing your WC as soon as you can to let them know that you want to change your time. I had some people look at me funny when I told them we were having a Thursday wedding, which I never understood. I mean everyone is going to be there for a week long holiday anyways, so what does it matter on what day you get married? Yes, wedding planning can be so fun and exciting yet so stressful at the same time
  22. Thanks for all the good ideas ladies! Now to keep a better eye on Vistaprint for deals and groupon coupons!
  23. Your wedding is not until May 2013?! My goodness girl, you have been so productive! If you're done early, which I think is more than likely, I'll need to hire you to do my planning!
