Hey Brides, Any suggestions on what i should try to eat for breakfast/snack on the wedding day. I don't want to be bloated, my dress is pretty form fitting. But I also don't want to be passing out from being hot and hungry (and cranky!) by the cocktail hour (530ish). I normally eat fruit for breakfast, so i will probably stick with that. I plan on going to the gym that morning as part of my routine so maybe I'll bring some protein powder and mix it with water. Then maybe before the reception i have another lite snack, some veggies or something? Let me know what you did or are pkanning to do! 2.5 weeks until i leave!!!

Hey ladies (and some gentleman), My fiance and I got legally married in CA in May. Our destination wedding is in 3 weeks in Mexico. I didn't go through the process of changing my name yet just in case the process took too long. So I think I have all the info on how to go about changing my name and all the offices I have to go to with the appropriate paperwork. However, I came across a website like this that claims to take care of everything: http://www.legalzoom.com/sem/name-change.html?WT.srch=1&kid=5057d06d-ffd8-2108-0372-000068347b02&se=google&q=keyword&refcd=GO000000000000001s_keyword&tsacr=GO11925756367&cm_mmc_o=7BBTkwCjCWzFw%202tzETw%20|%20mwzygt%20|%201Bgzk/mfzfwCjC4zyybzTw%20WzFw%202tzETw%20C%202zkbuByEbzCjCgzkbuByEbz%20EzFw%20gtzETw%20FzyybzTw&gclid=CK-GkOHQg7ECFSgbQgodSE_lWA Has anyone done anything like this? Is it legit? Is it a scam? Am I better off just going in person? Thanks!!

This seems pretty thorough to me. here are some other things that we did also, i'm not sure if they will apply to you: -We are also printing menus and itineraries for our guests, so we factored in ink and fancy printer paper. -We also factored in stamps for STDs, invites and thank you notes. -We got married legally a few months ago, so we factored in the marriage license. -Cake topper -Wedding dress alterations/accessories -petals for flower girl & basket for petals i hope this helps!

Thanks a bunch for the advice. I think we will probably go to group dinners a few times during our stay, so this is really helpful. I think for the Rehearsal, we will stick with our reservation. I think it will feel a little less chaotic, but that's because i'm envisioning the group of 20 of us waiting for an hour, starving and everyone complaining and then me feeling bad that I hadn't done a reservation lol. I do have another question for you though: Did you get your wedding coordinator a gift or anything?

They are $88/person/day. we will also have to factor in tips for the DJ and photographer a gift for our TA and maybe something for our wedding coordinator also

From what I have been reading on the Dreams Riviera Cancun thread, some brides have been able to use an outside photographer, but they have to have them stay at the resort as a guest for at least one night or so. A day pass for the resort is $88/person. A wedding pass is $55/person. I'm not sure if you would be able to talk the wedding coordinator into just paying the day pass fee. However, some brides that are working with travel agents have used their free rooms or upgrades to room their vendors (Outside djs, photographers, etc), so that is also an idea. My wedding is at DRC in 3 weeks and I am just using the resorts photographers (adventure photos) and DJ. The slide shows I have been seeing are great, so I'm pretty excited. If you have another photographer that you can bring that is cheaper, I say it's worth a shot! I hope this helped

Hi Emily, We were given 2 restaurant options for a rehearsal/family dinner. Yamina offered us the terrace at Himitsu or the terrace at Oceana. We chose Himitsu. I'm assuming (and hoping) that the terrace is somewhat private. I've looked at the restaurant pictures online and it looks like a patio area. The cost is $15/person plus 26% for taxes and gratuity. So the total for the 20 of us will be $378.00. Again, we are not thrilled with this but it will give us some piece of mind and be alot more organized than if we just told the 20 people to show up at Himitsu at a certain time. Hope this helps

Thanks for this too. I had my ceremony happening at 4:00pm but now I'm thinking of moving everything back at least an hour. my fiance is worried that 7pm is too late to start the reception though! Maybe I'll be able to persuade him. I mean, sunset will be around 7:25pm.... Quote: Originally Posted by tigerlily2435 I see some people are looking for itineraries. Here is mine. Hope it helps! Since it includes the hair appointment photos, I'm assuming 2? Videographer- we just are using the included package, which is just the ceremony. Am I missing anything?? Hope not!

Tired of Complaints and Feeling Guilty at the same time!
RollerBride replied to carori's topic in Just venting or funnies
Hang in there. It isn't an easy choice but it's a smart choice, at least it was for my fiance and I. We are paying for the vast majority of the wedding and this is our honeymoon too. Our families are spread across the country so just like you said, anywhere we had our wedding would have been a destination, right?! As for guests complaining about the location, i feel you 100%. We are getting married in Mexico and some people told me that is specifically why they are NOT going. It hurts but I just have to shake it off and remember that I will be laughing it up from the swim up pool bar next month while they are sitting at work I'll tell you what, I'm shocked at the amount of responses we did NOT receive. We invited 120 people and really only wanted 40 people. We did invite cousins and such as a courtesy but It's like people don't take a destination wedding, or the invitation to one, seriously. and then, on the flip side, i had people RSVP that said they WERE coming and then just told me last week that they cannot make because they waited too long to book because they thought prices would go down and the prices did not go down. It's absurd! (I think) our final number is 31 and we are thrilled with that. Of course I'm very sad that a few close girlfriends of mine can't make it but our immediate familes and other close friends will be there and it will be rad. I'm not sure how close you are to your wedding, but as your planning gets going, you will begin to really focus on how the day will be with the ones that are there. Again, just hang in there, take the complaints and rude comments and just let them roll off of you. -
Thanks so much for the rundown I appreciate it and I didn't mean to be a pest, i swear. I know you're probably stressed out but I hope that everyone on here that has gotten married recently is helping to calm you down and assuring you that everything will come together just fine. Anyhow, thanks again! this really helps me put things into perspective for our time frame.

You have to contact both of them on your own. For photos: [email protected] Yamina provided me with this email address. Anel has replied to me from this email. I do not know if she will be my photographer, she told me that they will be doing my photos but a photographer has not been assigned yet. For DJ Mauricio: [email protected] Yamina told me he was the DJ who was free for my reception and she gave me his email address for me to contact him on my own. He sent us a spreadsheet to complete (time lines, songs, etc). I would check with your wedding coordinator to see who your DJ will be before you email him directly.

ISO: May 2013 Bride - Virtual Work Out Buddy
RollerBride replied to MissBubbles205's topic in Beauty, Exercise, Diet
I'm struggling I took my dress for alterations last weekend and ever since then, I've been lazy and eating whatever I want, whenever I want. i really need to kick my own butt back into gear. I leave in 22 days and still have to go try the dress on again! -
This is a great thread! Thanks ladies! Here is what i recently posted on another thread last week: My wedding is 4 weeks away. I'm still trying to tone up to where I want to be. I generally eat pretty well-meat, veggies, fruit. I cut out sugars and did low carb for june. I play Roller Derby so that was my primary exercise, but a gf of mine also sent me this: I'll be completely honest, i did it but I have no idea how. hahaha I'll tell you what though, my fiance travels a lot and he hadn't seen me for 2 weeks when he noticed that my muffin top was gone!! My clothes fit better, its crazy. I remember on June 1st, I was looking at the workout for June 30th going, "HOW AM I GOING TO DO THAT!?!?!", but i did. and now I plan on doing the June 30th workout everyday of July (we leave for our trip on Aug 1st) I am also running 3mi on days when i don't have practice. It sucks and I pretty much have to make myself a new playlist everyday to motivate myself. My fiance is a bigger dude and he's not really into working out but he's actually been doing sit up and pushup like me (sups and pups, he calls it). I guess that's his way of being supportive. I'm about 5'6 and weight 131 on a good day lol. I'm not necessarily trying to lose weight, but I could shed some weight off my buns at this point haha, that's why i've really picked up my running regimen. Sometimes I add in lunges or jumpsquats or wall sits or other butt exercise that I can do on my living room floor. Clearly, I get bored very easily with working out so i need to try new things all the time. My diet has been all over the place. I generally eat fruit for breakfast, a sald for lunch, then I end up pigging out at dinner. I've really got to get that in check for July. My plan for carbs, is to have them in the am, if i'm going to have any. Cut them out after 3pm. Wish me luck! I'm glad this thread is here! I like this stuff!

I do not know from personal experience, but I've read many reviews on this forum and on Trip Advisor that say it is hard to sit together as a large group (over 4-6 people). The Dreams website do not say that they do not take reservations, but it does say "no reservations required". We opted to spend the money on a reservation for a rehearsal dinner the night before the wedding. We will have 20 people at Himitsu (Asian restaurant). I'm not thrilled about paying for a reservation at an all-inclusive, but it is what it is and our families are so spread out around the country and they have never met so we wanted to have a big family dinner alone.

Hi Ladies! I'm leaving for my Dreams Riviera Cancun wedding in 22 days!! I can't wait! I was wondering if some of you could share your time lines for your wedding day. I thought we had it figured out but now I think we want to push everything back a little bit. I was thinking: Ceremony: 4:30 Cocktail: 5:30-6:30 Reception: 6:30-9:30 I wouldn't even mind having the reception at 7, but my fiance thinks that may be too late for some of our guests. Our wedding day is Sat August 4th and the sunset is supposed to be around 7:25-ish, so I'm hoping that by 5:00pm (when our ceremony ends), the lighting will be good for pictures. Anyone else have any thoughts on this? Want to share your time line? I need a little insight. Thanks!! Kate
