  1. Yes! We would love to see your spreadsheet! I've tried to make spread sheets but I feel like I'm missing things or I don't have full prices. Email: [email protected] And hopefully we can meet at the resort for a mimosa or something! Do you have all you plans, package, location for ceremony, etc picked out and booked? We have our locations for everything picked and that's about it.
  2. I was wondering the same thing. We are expecting 40 people. We are trying to weigh the costs of a la carte vs. the love package +20 extra guests. We've asked for quotes from evangelina but she tends to answer a few questions here and there. i've tried doing the math myself, but it's tough because you can never tell if there are fees added, upgrade prices, etc. it's frustrating but I know she is busy and it will all work out in the end. But, in the meantime, is anyone else expecting that many people and weighing the pricing?
  3. Another question: Anyone have ideas for DIY centerpieces? I want to bring all the components for centerpieces with me but I don't want to bring any glass in my carry-on......i'm thinking acrylic vases? but i want floating candles in them and i'm afraid that is not safe. what is everyone else working on that does not include glass?
  4. Does anyone have any info on a rehearsal? i don't necessarily want or need a formal rehearsal follwed by a private dinner. I'm perfectly fine with the wedding party gathering for about 20min to do a run through the day before. Is something like this automatically included in a timeline? is there some sort of extra fee for this? Or do I just need to coordinate that with them when i get there?
  5. Thanks, this is super helpful. One more question, what type of chairs are used for the ceremony and reception. I need to know what size sashes to order.
  6. Is anyone using an outside Photographer? I've read on a few posts from different brides that some were told that outside vendors were not allowed.... If you are using an outside vendor, what is the outside vendor fee? and could you give me a website to some photographers? ...just trying to shop around
  7. My TA has given us 3 different trip lengths for our guests: 4, 5 or 7 nights. Anyone who books 7 nights will pretty much be on our honeymoon with us! i'm not thrilled with this but i'm unsure of how to approach this? Should I have the TA eliminate the 7 night option all together? The Dude and I will be there for 10 nights and we will certainly want some time to ourselves. I didn't really think anyone would request to book 7 nights. i assumed guests would know that it's polite to stay 2 days after the wedding tops....but alas, someone has asked to book a 7 night trip. I guess I should take it as a compliment, huh? I mean, on the other hand, I am asking people to travel to Mexico FOR ME (and the dude), so I shouldn't put a limit on their stay if they want to make it a vacation....hmmmmmm. is anyone else thinking about things like this?
  8. I plan on packing my items as well. I have no prbolem leaving some things behind though for other brides to use (ex: chair sashes...).
  9. This site has some pretty ones with decent prices too: http://www.exclusivelyweddings.com/Weddings/Wedding-Invitations/Wedding-Invitation/Best-Sellers?viewall=true

  11. Hello, I've been reading this long enough, i figured i might as well chime in, ask questions, share what info i have too. I am Kate of: Kip & Kate- Sat August 4th 2012. i can't wait to drink margs, mimosas, laugh, get tan and get married. We have a deposit down on our wedding package (the love package). The wedding, cocktail hour and reception will all be on the beach. Thats about it. We are working with Evangelina on the wedding. We were waiting for a quote for our group rate. We never got it so now we are working with a travel agent for that. She is attempting to streamline things with Evangelina for us as well. Like most of you, this is taking a while (days between emails), but i'm glad we went with a travel agent. It's nice to have someone coordinate all those things for you. We'll refer all of our guests' questions regarding travel arrangements to her as well which makes me doubley happy. So thats as far as i've gotten. not much info to share yet. I have a few questions for brides who have gotten married here (or future brides who have visited) & please forgive me if they've been answered already. There are 700+pages to this thread. I read about 50 of them and started getting stressed out. 1. Welcome dinner: We are hoping for 40people total (50 tops!). I'd like to do a welcome dinner for everyone (he just wants the bridal party and family). I've read a few reviews online. If at all possible, we'd like to not pay extra for this and just go to one of the restaurants at the resort. What are the (realistic) odds that we can arrange this. Should I relay this to my travel agent and have her sort it out? We just want a big group to go to dinner at one of the restaurants one night. 2. What kind of room did you have? The resort website doesn't have many pictures of the rooms. Of course i've stalked trip advisor and very other site and looked at room pictures but I don't know what room those guests were staying in. We want a ground floor room (he wants a honeymoon suite, i'm pretty indifferent. i want margaritas) in a centralized location. We went to a friend's wedding at Dream's Tulum and they pretty much had a room right in front of the main pool. It was great. we want something like that. Ocean View. any recommendations? 3 What are your thoughts on us having the ceremony, cocktail hour & reception on the beach? If i keep everything on the beach, what do you recommend i bring as decorations. I don't want to bring alot, but i'd rather bring 2 suitcaes full of stuff than pay an arm and a leg for some chair sashes! I look forward to stressing out and venting on here for the next 8 months. I'm very very thankful that for you all and that we have the resources to share such information with each other!
