Hi Ladies! I am so glad I found this forum, it has already been so helpful and really put me at ease about things. I am planning my wedding a the Jellyfish for February 2013. I know it's still more than a year away, so I have a couple of questions since I have never done this before, and a lot of you have - How many months in advance did you send out the STDs and invitations for your destination wedding? I want to try and get an idea on who will come and also so I can get a quote! - Did you wait for a final count to get a quote from Mayte? - My fiance and I really want to provide open bar for our wedding guests for the whole night - especially because they are going to be spending a lot of money coming down for the week. We did think the open bar pricing was a little pricey per person, especially since are are anticipating 50-60 guests. Do any of you brides who had that many guests have any recommendations? I would say 1/2 of the guests are heavy drinkers and the other 1/2 won't have that many. - For the transportation - did they keep the bride and groom separate? I would really like to have the first time to see each other be when I walk down the aisle, but if that's not possible then I want to make plans to do pictures of the moment at the resort. - Does Mayte provide an officiant or do you have to go get one on your own?
