  4. Hello OL88, Riviera Maya has a lot of good family friendly resorts with your requirements , have you considered Hacidenda tres Rios, see below what they offer, really most of my clients love this hotel. The hotel is located 30 minutes from Cancun airport. In the hotel you can have the reception and ceremony in many places, such as: • Pier • Terrace • Cenote • Beach • Ball Room • Near the pool This is an All Inclusive Hotel. For a private event $25 USD is charged per guest and this includes the following: • Private area which could be on the beach, Ball room or hotel terraces • Private dinner • Open bar for 4 hours + 1 hour cocktail. • Chairs avant garde type, round tables, white tablecloths and napkins • Dishes, silverware and glassware. For everything else you have to hire an outside vendor, we have a list of those who normally work with and trust them 100%. Feel free to email us for any questions you may have, Happy Planning!
  5. Hey andrea2015, if you have a fun crowd they will be on the dance floor the whole night. here some of the games we have seen at some of the weddings we have planned. the shoe game, super fun corn hole game photobooth waterdrum show for your guests Happy Planning!
  6. Hello Ladies, wanted to updated you , that @pddcmc had a beautiful sunny day here for her wedding day!! hope she will check in once she is back at home. HappyPlanning!
  7. Hey pddcmc, As a wedding planner in the Riviera Maya, I have coordinated quite a number of wedding on a rainy day, let me tell you we were prepared.. Everything was perfect for the bride and groom. i would advice you to obviously double check with your hotel. Most hotels here have a backup plan which is usually the ballroom, or your other options is to rent out a tent/marquee. Something important for you: comes rain or sunshine you are saying I Do on the 17th, and no rain will ruin that for you. I have notice quite a few times if the bride and groom are nervous/stressed because of the rain, so are the wedding guests. Once you embrace it and if you can actually dance in the rain, everyone else will come join you. Happy Wedding Day,
  8. Hey Shaylala, have you ever considered a different destination such as Mexico, we have all kinds of price range. I have seen this often my clients would say we first consider a different destination but due to prices we they opt for Mexico. also depending on where you are flying from. you may want to contact on a Travel agent to assist you. btw great advice from the other ladies Happy Planning!

  11. Hello Jenna85, As wedding planner in the Riviera Maya, I get to work with many airbrush make up artist. It really comes down to what price you are willing to pay and the style you are looking for. You are going to be fine with either or, you just have to communicate what you are looking for. Best way send them some ideas you prefer and a photo of yourself without make.up. Often enough brides love a certain look but comes the wedding day it turns out its not what their skin tone and over all look they wanted. Communicate with your make up stylist and get the best look for your big day. Happy Planning!
  12. Hey JoannaBanana, The good thing about the Riviera Maya, is that it offers you plenty of options, some location can even allow you to put together a menu as per your requests. low key means many things. please feel free to email us we can certainly help with sending you different options. Happy Planning!
  13. KatieMcBride, I would not advice you to do that, think about it. your make up artist will come in the hotel with his make up kit, which will show he is not just a guests. if you would like to avoid the vendor fee. then maybe meet them at their salon. Happy Planning
  14. Hey CaroV, Have you considered the Royal hideway Resort in Playacar. its 10min walk to the famous 5th Av. and its adult only , they have amazing beach . Also Secret Beach Resort is adult only and its gorgeous. There are plenty of resorts , you just have to decide on what price range you are looking for. Feel free to reach out and we will be happy to help. Happy Planning!
  15. Hey starbx123, we don't get the seaweed all the time in the Riviera Maya, but not to worry ,pretty much all location have their stuff to clean up the beach area daily, more so when there is a ceremony on the beach they would clean it up few times . HappyPlanning!
  16. hello RJE, I was actually at the Paradisus hotel last week on a site visit and menu tasting for one of my clients getting married this August. they choose the tailor made package ceremony on the gaby bridge with the reception in the gaby club. totally understand when you do not want to step in the sand, really no one will be in the background during the ceremony. FYI: the wedding menu was absolutely delicious. like acw271011, mentioned some good resort you might want to consider. if you really looking for 100% privacy. Happy Planning!
  17. Hello Ladies, Other hotels to consider the Viceroy Riviera Maya, Royal hideway resort and all the 3 mayakoba hotels in the Rivera Maya. But if you would like your wedding to be secluded maybe you may want to consider a private villa or some of the non resort location which can guarantee the privacy you are looking for. Happy Planning
  18. Hello DestoWeddingers, Welcome to the forum, have you considered Hacienda Tres Rios? their packages covered large groups and the is a lot to do for kids. 25 min from the airport. Feel free to reach out and we would be happy to help. happy Planning!
  19. Hello Ladies , I am wedding planner in the Riviera Maya and to answer your question regarding the price difference if you go to the styling trio salon vs your resort. The price actually stays the same. another point they so good at what they do, that really a trial is not necessary. on the vendor fee every resort will charge you a different fee. if your hotel is closer or in playa del carmen. then you can avoid that fee by coming to their salon. which is located on 15th street not on 5th Av. Happy Planning Ladies
  20. Hello GeanievaKaya, Welcome to the forum, you will find plenty of helpful information on here, all you have to do is ask away Happy Planning!
  21. Lisa, in the RivieraMaya you do need to pay for the zofamat (usage of the beach in order to have your ceremony on the beach) unless your location is paying for always a pleasure to clarify things thats why we are here. Happy Planning!
  22. Hey WiscoBride, We are wedding planners in the Riviera Maya, and must say there are plenty of places in playa you could choose from as LisaAnthonyPoppy has mentioned a few. it really just depends on what you are looking to pay. it is very important before you choose a restaurant to find out if they have the permits or not in order for you to have the ceremony on the beach. the Zofamat fee (federal fee for using the beach is required to be paid on any public beach with or without a gazebo. Feel free to reach out and we will be happy to help!
  23. Hello ladies, Welcome all brides of January 2016, you are all of to a good start by being on this forum. Happy Planning
  24. Hello Anali Marie, We have done weddings at both resorts and i must say they both have beautiful grounds. 25. Hey Destoweddingers, in shot this is what you will need, and your hotel coordinator should be able to help, in the riviera maya you only are required to do the blood test. here are the requirements for a legal ceremony in mexico. Copy of the passport and tourist card ( its issued at the airport) Divorce papers if applicable Blood test for HIV and Health Certificate must be done in mexico within 7 days before the wedding 4 witnesses must be over 18 and be present for the ceremony in order to sign the marriage certificate (we need their passport copies) Completed application form ( we can fill that out for you) the ceremony can be performed both in english or spanish Once Legally married, you will receive a certificate, but the legal act called Acta de Matrimonio, will be send to Chetumal the capital of the State in order to be annotated. Once we receive the authorized copy we will send it to you via DHL Usually takes 3 weeks maximum. As a couple and your witnesses are obligated to be 4 working days in mexico before the wedding The ceremony takes about 20 minutes maximum. if you need us to get you the 4 witnesses this will have an additional cost.
