@@SimpleBliss, The Riviera Maya offers your a bunch of all inclusive resort that would allow you to bring out side vendors . Check out Hacienda Tres Rios, Barcelo resorts Whats important is to know that every hotel has different policies, some would allow you to bring in your outside vendors at no costs and some would require a day pass. as for your guests staying off the resort you will need to get them day pass to have access to the hotel. plus pay additional fee for the actually wedding. Also it sounds like you might be better of, off the resort if you have your guests staying at different locations. Again we have plenty of non resort locations I am happy to share. Happy Planning! Hey @@Soon2bmzbrooks , So sorry your hotel is putting you through this, but it is usually their responsibility of the resort to have a back up plan in case of rain. At least that is what the hotels in the Riviera Maya do. However if they say you need to get a tent (this is my advice to you, you would only need to confirmed/book this latest 72 hours not earlier. is this something your resort would let you do? Hey Deecol, First of big big hugs to you... I see this happens quite often with destination wedding. Great advice from the other ladies as well. My advice I give to all brides to be: 1. Important people will be there not matter what. 2. Consider yourself fortunate you already have 32 guests booked 3. Your friend may not know how to tell you, no she cant make it, only coming u with some insane excuses. 4. About your AHR, I would wait until the wedding planning stages is done , then make the decision. 5. You have done your part, sent reminders , calls etc. NOW enjoy planning your wedding. 6. This is about You and your fiancee, let the people who want to hop on the train enjoy the ride, and those who are n´t taking action leave them behind. it will be their loss not yours. In terms of all your extra luggage, spread your luggage among your bridal party or family. Trust me you would be surprised on how many people are willing to assisting you with all your suitcase. Hey Mickeyb, I have to agree with MtM photography, The are a tons of wedding photographer in Mexico that are super professional , you might even find someone who can match or even come close to the style you are looking for. in terms of price, it boils down to the budget you have set out for photography. this area has pretty small, medium and high prices. I am sure you will find a photographer you are comfortable with. Happy Planning Joyce

They shouldnt especially after booking a room for them. contact your hotel coordinator and let them know you do not like the style of their in house and you really want a photographer of your choice. There is always an option. Happy Planning!

Hey Irannia, Actually the price you received from your coordinator are correct. unless you have your wedding on a week day, which would change your location fee to $800 usd vs $2500 usd. Blue venado is sure cheaper because it doesnt come with a location fee. Happy Planning Joyce

Hey SunshineDreamKay, I have done few weddings at some of the Palace resorts here, sometimes when you explain to the hotel why you do not want to work with the in house photographer, they might reduce the fee or other option is to actually book your desired photographer a room at the resort. Yes of-coarse, the fee is only if the outside florist steps into the hotel by that I mean wanting to deliver the flowers to your room. They would not charge even if they see you with professional bouquets. ( im just thinking this might save all the time to prepare the flowers.) Happy Planning J

Hey Veryvalentine, you can actually have the outside florist do the bouquet and deliver at your hotel entrance, and you could meet them there for pick up. in that way you will avoid the vendor fee. or even coming to flower shop for pick up. As a planner the where times , where I had to be a counselor for my clients. it is quite normal to get cold feet or to put the wedding on hold. My 2 cents worth, taking few days off the wedding planning and making it all about the 2 of you and reconnecting and more so COMMUNICATING! On everything that you love about each, and the things you don't like about each other without judgement. Make your man know or to be- aware of what are things that would make you feel alive? (there is a book called "understanding women" and when you open that book you would see that its blank and that simply means we are a mystery to men. sometimes is very hard for them to read our minds /signs we may think they see. 10yrs from now , you want to look back and see the greatest memories you have had with your soon bee husband.
