  1. @@Jennal412 in edition to what@@Wafflesmom said, I have seen a lot of brides in 2015 they created a Facebook group with all the guests. the good thing is most people check Facebook 3 times a day. and once you post something the group they would get the notification. email drags a lot. Hope this helps Happy Planning and Happy New year! Joyce
  2. @@danielleesme yes M&Ms are fine to bring into mexico. They can be prepacked. LOL to #weddingbrain
  3. @@danielleesme, we have had Brides in the past bring candies as edible favors, and mini tequila bottles. my question to you is,what type of favors are you looking to bring? Happy Planning!
  4. @@Deannak, the 3 resorts are good all inclusive resorts. my favorite has to be https://dreamweddingsrivieramayablogdotcom.wordpress.com/2015/11/14/mahsa-and-kiarash-beach-palace-cancun-resort-cancun-destination-wedding/ I loved the roof top terrace.service was excellent. @@TammyWright will sure lead you into the right direction. Happy Planning!
  5. @@Jbwilli Welcome to the forum, I cannot stress it enough to all Destination Bride, having a TA who can advice you on resorts takes away a lots of overwhelming from you. Let the pros help you find the right resort that is a best fit for you. There are plenty of resort to choose from. One thing you also need to look out for is the season. For example in the Riviera Maya we have low and high season. Make sure you find out the prices, for the low season just so you can compare price points for the resorts. Happy Planning! Joyce

  8. @@Wafflesmom the is no preference , we accept both peso or US dollar. Your big day is around the corner lady !
  9. I would also add its not necessary to change US dollars to pesos. In mexico we use both, and you get a super great exchange right now. make sure you have smaller bills for tipping. Bride to be tip: make sure you wear strapless bikini tops ,especially if your dress is strapless you just dont want to have lines showing on your wedding pictures. be in the sun in moderation, you can cook yourself after the wedding day you just dont want to look burned on your wedding pictures. make sure you pre order your lunch the day before , so it arrives an a specific time you want make sure you eat while getting ready. (ask your coordinator about this)
  10. @@josenjacks Do share with us your story on how he proposed when it happens! Here is what I have seen recently, this year and I´m doing it again next March. 2 grooms contacted me needing help planning a surprised wedding the one this year was a proposal turned into an intimate wedding ceremony followed by an intimate dinner. The one next year, the groom is letting the bride know the morning off. That they are getting married and she needs to get ready, and he is even buying the wedding dress without her knowing. I guess as a wedding planner, I do get to see all kinds of wedding , big or intimate! Happy Future Planning
  11. @@Nickkifu84 congrats on choosing to have a Destination wedding. All friends and family have a role in your life. the big question, you might want to ask yourself is the importance of that role. For example when last did he communicate with his friends? Sometimes you just have to explain to friends that , you are choosing to have a really super small wedding. People do understand. Happy Planning!
  12. @@MissWest Congrats on your engagement and welcome to the forum. My first advice , you might want to get in touch with a travel agent who specializes in Destination Wedding. There owners of this page are travel agent. Also check out the low season resort prices depending on where you prefer to have your wedding. you might find some good deals. So many Brides do plan on their own especially when having a resort wedding. Happy Planning! Joyce

  23. @@Elishah It makes sense to me to switch to a private location especially since everything will be more personalized for you. Also this brings down the costs for you. its also very common that resort charge the outside vendor fee. Im pretty sure you will make a decision that fits your vision, not once should you feel indecisive its your important day. Happy Planning!
