Newbie - Planning A Destination Wedding - Overwhelmed!
dreamweddings replied to Vivthebride's topic in Newbies!!
@@Vivthebride Welcome to the forum, where you ca start is simply contacting a Travel agent, I always suggest you look at one that is dedicated to destination wedding. Also you might want to ask yourself what are the amenities resort should have. also what price point do you consider affordable for you and your guests. Happy Planning Joyce -
@@rbehlke, Lucky you the Riu Palace Riviera Maya, Playa del Carmen, Mexico is super close to the central so the are plenty of local spa that are affordable. I was trying to attach the file but couldn't for some reason, feel free to reach out i can share with you the lists. Some of the local spas are being owed by Canadians plus the prices are in the local currency.. Happy Planning!

@@Cielito848 Hacienda del Mar/del Corazon I know both locations very well, but most of my clients who are looking for a villa wedding end up doing their wedding at Playa secreto. Especially because its a gated community with various villas and a stretch of a beach/super private. other villas are more flexible that others. Budget depends on many things. for us no 2 weddings for 60 guests will have the same budget. why? because everyone prefers something different. other clients would spend more on decor and others not. hope this makes sense. what you might want to do, prep a vision board and ask both villas to filling estimation costs. to give you a better idea. I am happy to share with you other villas inside of play secreto to give you a better idea. Feel free to reach. Happy Planning!

Do You Need A Wc For Site Visits?
dreamweddings replied to komalley12's topic in Destination Wedding in Cabo
@@komalley12 here is what I suggest you think about, if your 4 locations are private not resorts. Talk to your possible coordinator , you plan on hiring for the Month of. See if they do not offer the service of site visit. Reason being, they can already share with you plenty of information about the different locations. Also this help you get to know your coordinator a bit. Happy Planning! -

@@HollyMartinz Welcome to the forum, Tulum has a lot to offer and has some amazing beaches. Have you picked a location yet? Tulum is one of the expensive areas in Riviera Maya, I am not sure what you had in mind in terms of budget. The most important thing is for you to find a location or resort that works with your budget. also is it in the low or high season? All budget differs for everyone. Happy Planning!

@@weddingcancun2016 where is your wedding taking place? I must be honest I am not sure where you can get the following in those prices. photographer for elopement maybe $500 usd for 2 hours session just to give you an idea Videographer I work with a number of them. I have never seen anyone charge the price for videograpeher . for how many hours do you need them? Mariachi Mariachi for a 45 min $350 usd Fire Show also depend on how many people you have doing the show. some tips: if your budget is tight, I would definitely cut out videographer, have you checked if one of your guests has a good eye to capture the video. so you can save on that? weigh out what is more important and then take it from there. Happy Planning!

Welcome to the forum @@vanessajfelice 10% of our brides each year, choose to do a site visit. this depends from person to person. Here is a short list of what you can do first, for what ever reason I couldn't attached the longer version. 1. draw up a list of things you want your hotel to have. (amenities) 2. get in-touch with a TA who specializes in Destination wedding 3. book resort/bock date 4. book photographer , hair and make up and DJ 5. decide on the Decor, its sounds like you are looking to DIY. plan out the things you want to DIY and the ones you will book with the resort. most of our past bride have brought lots details for the tables, candles , guests book etc. 6. Etsy has some great options on welcome bags https://www.etsy.com/market/wedding_welcome_bags 7. Have lots of fun doing all the above. because before you know it it would be September. Happy Planning!
