Hello Ornoxoxo, As a wedding planner here in Riviera Maya,I must say we have many beautiful location and some of the location are very secluded, if you are worried about the crowd maybe considering a resort that is not too close to down or a secluded beach club could be your best option. Since July is summer still, the best time to have your ceremony would be anything from 5:30 pm, its almost perfect weather for sure. July is not an expensive month, in fact most of resort have discount and specials for the summer vacation. Feel to ask me anything and I will be happy to help. Happy planning Joyce

Hello Bride to beABCD! Welcome to the forum and Congrats on your nuptial, As wedding planner in the Riviera Maya, I agree we have many beautiful resort, beach clubs and villas and sometimes it can get overwhelming. I always advice my brides the best way to choose your resort, ask yourself the following questions. What do you expect your location to offer? Are you looking for an all inclusive resort? Does it have to be family friendly? Do you want to be closer to town, night life and shops? Are you open to having your wedding at a non resort location? What budget do you have in mind for your guests to pay for their entire stay? Narrow your options down to 3, then if you planning to come down for an inspection it would be easier. If not then have a TA to get you all the information on your top 3 then make your decision. BDW has lots of helpful information and we are all here to help. Feel free to ask me anything and I will be happy to help. Happy Planning! Joyce

Hello Christinaa23, Congrats on your wedding, and I am happy to suggest my flower and decor team: ask for Christian and he knows how to work with any space and any budget. http://www.cherryblossom.com.mx/ DJ Luca he loves what he does and does very well and affordable http://www.rivieramayawedding-dj.com/ The pool terrace is a gorgeous area for your reception and the paper lanterns can hold and will create an amazing ambiance. What I like about Hacienda Tres Rios, they do not charge you for choosing your own vendors. If you may have anymore question please email and i will be happy to help. Is having a non resort wedding an option? these answers will help you narrow down some potions Feel free to ask me anything and I will be happy to help! Happy Planning! Joyce -
Hello Tara Steve, To answer your questions, go ahead and have the ceremony and beach reception, it so much fun especially when you want to keep things as casual as possible. and the best wedding favor would be flip flops, for your guests who do not want to sink their feet in the sand. Most of brides have been bringing their own decor, how do they do it? have your wedding party carry some of the decor. Feel Free to ask me anything and I will be happy to help Happy Planning!

Hello ursula85, Congrats on your engagement, As a wedding planner in the Riviera Maya, I would suggest looking into having your ceremony at Grand Coral Beach Club, for its privacy and its really about 5minutes drive from playa del Carmen, moving your reception to a location almost similar to Xcaret, called Alux Resturant, something so unique you and your guests will love it. Accommodation El Taj, is perfect its right in town and its within walking distance to the famous 5th av. and guests many beach options. The cave Resturant has an area that can be private for your reception. see pictures to give you a better idea Good planning and understanding your vision will make it all possible. Best advice when going the non resorts root you definitely need a wedding planner. Feel free to ask me anything and I will be happy to help. Happy Planning Joyce

dreamweddings replied to Jencakes21's topic in Riviera Maya and Cancun Wedding Vendors
Hello Jencakes21, My advice to you is to go with a DJ and have him play mariachi type of music the 1st hour, then follow with your favorite play list for the rest of the evening. It is so worth it, once all your guests have had dinner all they would want to do is PARTY!! Hope this was helful Happy Planning! -
