  1. @springwater thank you so much for such a helpful information especially for brides who are choosing to go with a Villa wedding options. We are wedding planners in the Riviera Maya, and had number of weddings at various villas we are happy to recommend. Also just to help you a little bit California 10 , we recently had a group of 90 guests who all stayed at private villas, we shuttle everyone from the airport to the villas, had a welcome BBQ dinner, plus bachelor/bachelarette and rehearsal dinner and the big wedding with fire shows and fireworks and a big bonfire. I would love to share pictures as soon as I receive them from the photographer.. it is all possible when you have the right team to assist you in planning for your big day. Feel free to ask us for more information and we will be happy to help. Or you can email us on [email protected] Happy Planning Joyce!
  2. Hey Rpc51, Did you mean Cherry Blossom instead of cherry mood. I know most of the vendors in the area who are using these options for deposit and payments. I must admit Paypal is not user friendly for everyone in the area. I wouldnt worry too much that they have issues with Paypal I´ve had the same issue various times. Hope this will help you with you decision. Happy Planning Joyce!

Welcome to the Forum astaats83 and congrats on your upcoming destination wedding!! You will find tons of helpful information here. As a wedding planner in the Riviera Maya i would suggest you to make a list of all the important things the resort needs to have for you and then check on wedding packages the different resorts offer. Sometimes large resorts don't have always a fully private reception venue but you need to know that the Riviera Maya also offers wide range of beautiful Off resort locations; if you like i can send you a list with venues that offer privacy together with all the general information there is to know about each one.. 4. Hey immotarunner, Cherry Blossom has new owners since last year , Julieta and Sandra are the ladies behind the company , at the time shan0487 lost communication from Barbara was simply because of this major change. My advice to you is as long as you have send them pictures of your vision then you will be fine, give them as much detailed information of what you are expecting. Happy Planning! Joyce

  6. Hello Jlo, Welcome to the Forum and Congrats on your Engagment !!! Since you are in the early stages of planning, my suggestion would be the following when choosing a resort, you want something that offers all the qualities you envisioned. If you prefer also check with your local travel agent to compare prices, because sometimes travel agent get better deals than you would get yourself. You might check out these Resorts: Playacar Palace, its an all inclusive and they have good food. They do not allow outside vendors, be sure to know if for example you are flying in your photographer and he stays with you in the same resort, that there will not be an "outside vendor fee" for him. Hacienda Tres Rios has it all, good deals, beautiful hotel, various restaurants. It's kidfriendly, they allow outside vendors on no extra costs. The beach has white sand but the water is not as magical blue. If you have any more questions you can send me an email to: [email protected] Happy Research ! Joyce
  7. Welcome to the Forum GemEll, as Yazmin already said there are a lot of beautiful hotels along the Riviera Maya. Haciendo Tres Rios is also under our favourites as it has beautiful grounds, is family friendly and you could either have a beach ceremony or a ceremony at a cenote and they also allow outside vendors with no extra costs. You might also look at Riu Palace Playacar. They have a nice garden gazebo overlooking the ocean. I hope this information is helpful and if you have any more question feel free to contact us: [email protected] we will be happy to help. HAPPY RESEARCH !! Joyce

  14. Hi Scarma, Welcome to the Forum! These are pictures from a Mayan Ceremony at a Cenote in Playa del Carmen. It is a spiritual and interactive ceremony with a Shaman. You can do this kind of ceremony also at a beach: the shaman normally makes a circle with all the guest and the wedding couple is in the middle; the Shaman requests permission to the gods of the four elements to bless the union. If you have any further questions feel free to ask us anything and we will be happy to help: you can send us an email to: [email protected] Happy Planning !! Joyce

  17. Welcome to the forum TinkerSofi and Congrats on your Destination wedding, As a wedding planner here in the Riviera Maya, i would advise you on the following when it comes to resort: By asking yourself what your expectations are for your ideal resort such as: -are you looking for an all inclusive? -must is it be a family friendly or adults only? -is beach more important to you? For Example "HACIENDA TRES RIOS" is super flexible in many things; they offer buffet, they do not charge you any fees for bringing in outside vendors (which is a big plus) and also the resorts has beautiful grounds !!! You can have either a reception at the beach, at a cenote, by the pool, .... Feel free to ask as anything and we will be happy to help you can send us an email to: [email protected] Happy Research and Planning !! Joyce
  18. Hey TinkerSofi, As a wedding planner here in the Riviera Maya,I would suggest the following resort to you: Playacar Resorts Hacienda Tres Rios. Both beautiful resort that offers a lot to you. They have good deals! They have pool site areas where you could have your reception without being in the sand. Feel free to ask us anything and we will be happy to help. Happy Planning. Joyce
  19. Hey Tiffanysblue, Congrats on your engagement and welcome to the forum. As a wedding planner here in the Riviera Maya, I would suggest to you if you are set on having your wedding on Nov 16 2013, you need to find a location pretty fast. As Nov is a busy month with weddings, especially if you are looking to have a catholic ceremony, dates will get booked up pretty quickly. Once you find the church/resort that offers catholic ceremony then you could then make a decision on having a coordinator or not, if you are thinking about having an off resort wedding you might consider a someone who knows the area and can get you some good deals. Hope this advice was helpful and feel free to ask us anything or email us at: [email protected] Happy planning! Joyce
