Hello Gemma, As wedding planner in the Riviera Maya , I know of 2 resorts that are family friendly and do only one wedding a day, Playacar Palace resort and Hacienda Tres Rios may accommodate your vision. Also other alternative is to have your wedding at a private villa, usually most villas can accommodate more group of 20 guests. and you can have the option of having a chef cook all the meals or you can do your own shopping and meals. something different and definitely fun. Feel free to ask us for anything and we would be happy to help! See 2 weddings we did at a villa. http://www.jaimeglez.com/real-weddings/2013/12/2/wedding-photography-villa-sol-y-luna-playa-del-secreto-elise-keith http://mikecantarellfilms.com/playadelsecreto/carolyn_jack/

Make-Up And Hair
dreamweddings replied to normas09's topic in Riviera Maya and Cancun Wedding Vendors
Hey Ylan9383! To answer your question when you use an outside Vendor you have the 2 options, either you can go to them or they come to you and depending on your hotel policy you may be required to pay an outside vendor fee which varies from hotel to hotel. Hey normas09, As wedding planners in Rivera Maya we work a lot with Adrian from Styling Trio, he is absolutely amazing! check him out, http://stylingtriorivieramaya.com/ -
Hello Nursemorgan, Congrats on your Nuptial and welcome on BDW, As wedding Planner in the Riviera Maya, I can tell you 4 months can work you just have to put your focus glove on. If you are just Eloping then finding a hotel that does Elopement is great, if not then some the private locations in the Riviera Maya which we are happy to recommend where we can help with just the minister and photographer and flowers for and anything extra you may need. If you are planning a smaller group wedding then: 1.Start your Planning by choosing a location, and secure it. decide on your theme/ colors 2. Send out invitations not necessary to do STD with only 4 months to go. 3. Search and then book your photographer and DJ 4. Book your hair and make up 5. focus on any extra entertainment such mariach , trio for the ceremony etc. 6. Decide on wedding favors 8. pick your flowers and decor. wedding cake 9 Timeline and celebrations

From the moment I started corresponding with Adrian of STRM via e-mail, I knew I wanted to work with him! He was so friendly and willing work within my budget. I looked at various photos on his website as well as his Facebook page and his brides just looked so happy and flawless. I struggled at first because I didn't want to spend a lot of money on hair and makeup but my friends convinced me that it was an important investment and they were right! Plus, Adrian and Yonatan (STRM's financial manager) really went above and beyond to try and make the costs as close as possible to my original budget. I really appreciated that! At first I was disappointed because Adrian wasn't available for my wedding. However, I trusted that his team was capable and I signed the contract with STRM anyway. The day before my trial, Yonatan emailed me and let me know that Adrian was possibly available for my wedding. I was very happy but I couldn't email him back because our wifi was so spotty at the resort. Even without a timely response, Adrian and Yonatan proceeded with the new plan to have Adrian be there for my wedding day (as well as the trial)! The next day, Adrian and his team came to my resort in the pouring rain, navigating through flooded roads for my trial. They were really late but apologized profusely. Since my rehearsal was going to start in 20 minutes, they worked quickly to get me all set. At one point, with my eyes closed, I thought I felt 5 pairs of hands working on my face and hair but only 4 artists were around! It was amazing! While I was pleased with their work, I knew they could do better. Due to the tight timeline, I didn't have time to ask them to re-do my makeup, but I gave Adrian some feedback, which he accepted enthusiastically and we said goodbye for the night. The day of my wedding came (the rains had stopped thankfully) and Adrian and his team were prompt and ready to go! We had about 5 hair/makeup artists (including Natasha, the hair stylist, who is awesome as well) in our suite working on a total of 12 ladies. Yonatan had created a schedule for us so that we could have my ladies rotating in and out of the suite in time for the wedding. Adrian and his team ended up being ahead of schedule! They were amazing and every one of my ladies seemed to have been pleased with the results. Adrian had really listened to the feedback from the trial and made adjustments accordingly. I was so happy with my wedding day hair and makeup! Considering I solely relied on photos online as well as a few great reviews on this forum, I felt so fortunate to have worked with STRM. And let me tell you, that even in the gross humidity, with all my dancing and eating and sweating, my makeup and hair looked and stayed awesome. That airbrush makeup really is amazing. And I had asked Natasha to "shellack" my hair with hairspray (since my hair is thin and straight, it falls out of up-do's all the time) and it really held up and looked great all day long! My girlfriends were like "How come you don't look like you're melting like the rest of us?" The answer was Adrian. STRM always says "fabulous from beginning to end" and they were right! It was worth the outside vendor fees my resort charged me! I was so grateful to have an awesome team consisting of really nice people who worked tirelessly to make your special day truly special! I highly recommend STRM! Hello Snoopy, As a wedding planner in the Riviera Maya, We have worked with STRM many times and yes they take care of all their brides as if they were their only clients. Our past Brides have been super happy with them. Its really lovely to see more happy brides! Joyce

I'm looking for a photographer who would do 4-6 hours of photos, in the less than $2000 price range (closer to $1500). I know there are many great vendors on this site, but many of you are either out of my price range, or not available on this date. Can you please suggest photographers who would fall into this price range for their packages that are 4-6 hours long? Thank you! Hello Jgunther27, you can try Vincent from Pixan photos he really has some good prices. http://www.pixanphoto.com/ Happy Planning! Joyce http://www.dreamweddingsrivieramaya.com/

You can achieve the same look, you just have to let us know your budget and lets see what we can do.

Thanks a mil Joyce! Hey Dp21, What I meant with Wickys being semi formal, is that you can have your reception on the beach or deck and they would still have the restaurant open for the public especially since you have a small group. Playacarphase1 Villa has only one villa that usually permits weddings and actually the restrictions come from the municipality. See the video of a wedding you at a villa , its not in playacar but they have the flexibility. http://mikecantarellfilms.com/playadelsecreto/carolyn_jack/

Does anyone know if i have to use a wedding planner to book at Wicky's? Any advise/comments/suggestions is greatly appreciated! Hello Dp21, As a wedding planner in the Riviera Maya, I am just curious what Villa would have restrictions in the Riviera Maya, especially because we work with many Villas in the Area for the fact that they have flexibility. To answer your question. We love all 3 locations, since you have mentioned you dont have a huge budget, you may consider ruling out Grand Coral from the list as they have a location fee of $2000 usd alone. On the other hand Wickys is same private. depending on your vision it may work if you are OK with a same private place. Canibal Royal I believe you must use their in house DJ. Hope this information was helpful. Feel free to ask us for any advice and we will be happy to help or email us : [email protected] Happy Planning Joyce

Hey Idmoss, Try one of the following numbers which are from Ivan´s new assistant. [email protected] +52 998 196 0780 I have done many weddings with Ivan, and yes he is a bit slow in responding, but he will give you a great party. Good luck with your wedding on the 7th I am sure it will turn out great. Happy planning! Joyce -

I've emailed them and hopefully they will get back to me soon. Does anyone know what the turnaround time is for them to email back? Also, is there a big deposit and do you have to only use their vendors? Hello asstaats83, You have chosen a beautiful location, BV his a super flexible location they have options that can include basic decor and obviously you can use their equipment. When it come to the deposit, you usually make the deposit based on the menu you have selected and number of guests OR what most of our brides have opt to pay $2000 usd to lock up their date and then select the menus later on in their planning. You have the option to bring in any vendor at no extra cost. Hope this helps and feel free to PM or email at [email protected] Happy Planning Joyce

Riviera Maya offers beautiful places and this is one of them. We couldnt agree more there is a lot to love about this location, Food is yummy and the service outstanding plus the location is secluded. Beautiful Brides to be, you have chosen a beautiful location. Anymore questions you are more than welcome to PM or email us at [email protected] Happy Planning! Getting nervous!

Also, my fiancé and I are planning to do a sand ceremony with his two children and ideas how to transport the vase with the sand and not have the sand get all blended together? Hey Lori Leigh, As a wedding planner in the Riviera Maya, my advice is the following, Not sure where exactly you will be having your wedding, but most resort to allow family to make pictures as long as they are guests at the resort, there should not be a fee for this. What most of my past brides have done here was to bring the vases wrapped up separately and have the sand in the original packages. Feel free to ask us anything and we will be happy to help.
