Very pretty!!! I would imagine they're alot lighter than real flowers too. A large bouquet like that would be quite heavy which is one reason I specifically told our resort I want a SMALL bouquet! We are only getting 1 bouquet which is included in our resort package or else I would have considered the real touch. Glad you're liking the results!!

Our pre-travel packets are set to be mailed this weekend and I wanted to share a few things I put together to surprise our guests and hopefully get them super excited for our trip. I desperately wanted to create a beautiful passport invitation and boarding pass response card but we are only having our immediate family attend the wedding so I'd be doing all that layout work for just 4 invitations! *sigh* Just not worth the effort. I didn't give up though and kept looking for some other way to incorporate the passport or boarding pass. I finally came across a vendor on Etsy that sells clear plastic passport covers as well as luggage tags and I didn't have to purchase huge quantities of them. http://www.etsy.com/shop/GroundhogSupplyCo?ref=seller_info So I designed an insert to the passport cover and matching luggage tags. I then used the design to carry over to OOT bag tags, mug tags, room key holders, and other wedding items. Here are a few pictures: Front and back of passport cover Close up of front Front and back of luggage tags Sorry for the blurry pic but this is a VistaPrint rack card (free) with details about traveling & the resort to be mailed with a VistaPrint magnet (also free!), passport covers, luggage tags, and travel documents from our travel agent. Knowing how frugal our families are, I'm glad I found things that they can reuse again. They just have to slip out our inserts and reuse the passport protectors and luggage tags for future trips. Hope everyone likes them! I used Photoshop for the design work and would be happy to share the templates if you're familiar with the program. Just PM me.

Josephine, your invitations are GORGEOUS!!!! I really love them! VERY good idea to spell out the details in multiple locations about the group reservation. I would just caution you to make sure everyone understands all this if you are trying to achieve a certain number of booked rooms. We only have our immediate family attending and the smallest amount of rooms we could guarantee for a group rate was 5. We checked with everyone to make sure they were definitely coming, explained why were needed this commitment before we signed the group agreement, and confirmed we had 6 rooms. I wasn't totally sure about the 6th one so I made a group agreement for 5. After spelling this all out on our website and in multiple emails, my fiance's sister went and booked with her travel agent AND took their mother's room and booked it on her reservation too. So we lost TWO rooms and dropped under our group agreement. I was really freaking out and she was soooo difficult to work with to get it resolved. It ended up, after days of arguing with her, that she cut 3 days off their reservations (that's what our group ressie was for) and booked through my travel agent. She just kept insisting our travel agent was trying to rip her off and that was just so not the case. So it is worked out now but it was a very long, stressful week of worry, phone calls, emails, and nastiness!!

This has got to be the most detailed wedding journal I've seen yet! Everything looks fantastic! YOU WERE GORGEOUS!!! WOW you rocked that dress! Congrats on the new addition to your family! Best wishes for a healthy and uneventful pregnancy. Did you bring the sky lanterns with you in your luggage or purchase them in Mexico? I saw a great deal to purchase them online a few weeks ago and wanted to so badly but I didn't think we could take those fuel packs on the plane with us so I didn't buy them.

Thanks Mwise17!! I looked at your pics and thought your bouquet was very pretty but when I looked very close I could see what you were saying about the varying colors. I wasn't planning on having any greenery in it so I wanted them to be all the same shade or it would look weird. I ended up going for the other one with the coral/salmon roses. Thanks for advice!! Murmel - THANKS!! I will do that. $10 extra just to wrap the bouquet so we're bringing our own ribbon!

I can't decide on flowers. I have an ivory dress; wedding colors are turquoise and coral. Do I go with a bouquet of all ivory flowers wrapped in turqoise: Or something a little more colorful with salmon and peach roses (I do not want full on vibrant colors - they're pretty; just not what I'm going for): I have no bridesmaids but my 12 year old daughter is participating in the ceremony and wearing a coral colored dress. Opinions??? Thanks!

Hi ladies, I know a few people on this board have had their receptions at that location and liked it because it has a nice view but they can put screens down if it is cool or rainy. My TA has been there many times and has loads of pictures of AS and this location on her site: http://www.shellistravel.com/Travelogues/AzulSensatori2011/tabid/632/Default.aspx If you haven't booked yet, I'd HIGHLY recommend Shelli!! She's been fantastic!

As a joke a few years ago my fiance put a Ferrari on his Amazon wish list. Since I will NEVER be able to buy him one, I jumped when I saw this company that provides "track day" experiences in Cancun. The exact Ferrari he had on his list is one of the cars they have in their fleet so that is his wedding gift from me: http://www.exoticrides.com.mx/cancun/ No, it's not something he can carry with him all the time like an engraved watch or ring but I know he'll carry the memories with him forever. And he's getting a book of pics from a boudoir shoot which will shock him more than anything as I am VERY private and self-conscious!

Way to go!!!! Really, it's nice to hear a story about someone getting what they want for their wedding and not having to pay outrageous fees. I'm all for paying for what something's worth but it really drives me nuts to bring a group down there to stay for a week AND getting charged that vendor fee. It's not like the resort isn't getting loads of money from you and your guests. If I was having a bigger wedding, I'd definitely go with Fresa!

We have a small group of only 15 coming to our wedding in Mexico and 4 of them are kids (old enough to carry their own room keys). Any creative people out there that can help me come up with a cute alternative to the key card wording that doesn't involve being drunk? I like... I take thee to carry my room key and tip money From poolside to beachside (??) For ... Until I do so depart I could do 2 different sayings for adults and kids but I think even the other adults coming wouldn't appreciate the drunk wording. Thanks for any suggestions you have!
