Are you doing a private dinner? I think either way would work... if you are doing candles on the tables and planning on using the pillars, I'd ask Nicole if the can dim the regular lights in the room.. then I'd use the lights in the lanterns!!

My FI drilled the holes, he made them small enough so the wire fit snugly... but I also put a bit of glue on them to be sure it wouldn't go anywhere. I do not use power tools so he had to take part in this activity!! (In between college football on a Saturday night of course!)

I finished this DIY project today, I'm happy with the results!! 12 ga is definitely harder to work with but the wire is much more sturdy! I may sponge paint the hangers I'm not sure (probably should have thought about this BEFORE I finished them, oops) They only had natural hangers at my Target, I wish I had been able to find the dark wood hangers.

That's who I'm getting all of my paper from!! The quality is amazing!! I ordered 15 samples from there in different colors but missed the text paper! I found it last night! Perfect! Thanks for the heads up!!

SO pretty!!! What paper stock did you use? I'm doing a white pearl pocket fold, with silver lining inside and I need a white pearl paper to print the info on... I haven't been able to find anything I like that isn't really thick!! Great job!!! That's a labor of love!!

@Vika: Gorgeous!! Who is the designer? I was orignially going to take layers out of my dress, but when it came in and I added a slip it was perfect!! You only do this once, so I'll sacrifice being hot to look good!!

Do you have the christmas tree shops there? They have TONS of travel items!!! And I believe they carry aloe all year round!

I thought the suites didnt allow any other florists on property to do set up beside taiflora? Can anyone clarify? It was my understanding if you used another florist they could only drop off.

I got the towels on sale at target for $4.00!! Originally $6.99.. I called there every day asking if they were on sale. I figured thats a good deal and the towels are really nice! I'm also doing personalized Koozies, first aid kits (with coupons: FREE!), chap stick, trying to find travel size aloe, some snacks, gum etc, a flip flop bottle opener, I'm also doing water mixes, and a Jamaican photo frame that I plan on buying when we get down there. I don't think much else will fit!

They will be here Tuesday, hopefully they are good quality! Between the bags and towels an entire suitcase was filled, we are getting an extra bag each when we fly, but I think I'll need that for other "stuff", considering we are traveling for 2 weeks (honeymoon right after wedding week) What else are you using in the OOT bags?

Hey Ladies! I dont know how many of you are doing OOT bags.. I originally bought some great large beach bags from Target's $1 section for $2.50. They are pretty big and we are doing 1 per couple (35 bags total) so I started contemplating: 1. They will take up more than half of a big suitcase 2. Since they are so big, I'll need a lot of extras to fill them (which is MORE stuff to travel with) 3. we are also giving towels, and the colors didn't all work together since there are 4 different color bags and lots of different towels. So I started looking for something else and I found these at oriental trading. My FI and I are going to use a black and white picture of us holding "thank you" signs to put in the "frame" on the bag. best part $7.00 for 12!!! I know you are trying to keep costs down, but Dessy has a lot of color choices for dresses. I also have a difficult color to match, so I went from swatch to swatch and several designers until I found a color that worked. I chose Persian Plum, then I found a dress I liked!

I called Jodi on my lunch today. It's true, she was out for a while on vacation. The chairs are $8.50 each. White, gold, silver, and one other color I forget. The cushons come with it. She said they are clean haha. and have up to 200 seats. Also, they cant leave them there for your wedding because Iberostar is responsible for damages or if anything goes missing.. so they don't allow anything to stay after my reception. She was super nice. I think coming back from vacation she's overwhelmed. I'm trying to finalize some major details (flowers being one) before the new year, so I decided to just call.
