I just got back from my wedding and the pricing went like this: Blessed by the Sea (We married in the states) $1800 (for 8 people) $18 additional for anyone over 8 (we had 42 additional to pay for) $800 to rent reception space (flat rate) $10 per hour per person for open bar I'm not sure what wedding package you are looking at but there are usually additional costs for guests over what is included in the package.
  2. I just joined it! Did I see you used wish lanterns? How did that turn out for you? I guess it really depends on the wind, but we are planning on doing them the night of our Welcome Drinks. Which cake flavor(s) did you have? How long did dinner take for your group? What did you provide for the DJ (CD, iPOD) for music for the ceremony? So many last minute details to comb through! I leave in 4 days!

  6. I am tipping everyone... depending on how well I think their services have been. I got my florist a Coach purse bc I think it's more personable and I've been in contact with her the most. And she is AMAZING! As long as my flowers aren't dead, I plan on giving it to her when she delivers them! How much is a good question.... we did engagement pictures on our site visit for a test run with our photographer last May. We tipped our Photographer $100 and his assistant $50. We'll probably do the same this time around also. I'm thinking DJ $100, WC $100 and we aren't using their officiate.
  7. Hey Ladies who did a BD, shutterfly has a special going on for calendars, a 12 month is like $12.00 or something and 18 is $13.99, I think it's a cute idea to hang in their office at home! It's hard to narrow down the best pictures though!
  8. I lay in bed at night thinking about my "ToDo" list and I had a nightmare that my photographer didn't show up! My bach is this weekend so I only have 3 days left in this week to do stuff! Time is just flying by!!!
  9. I totally was planning on having several drinks before but was running late on my hair/make-up so I just jumped right in. It was a lot easier than it seems. As long as you are a little confident, a lot of confidence will show in the pictures... My photographer started me in something with a little more coverage to warm up. Do guys even know that this exists? I was trying to keep it from him so he couldn't guess, but then I'm thinking, would he even think about something like that?
  10. Good to know!! I have 8 hair appointments and 1 make-up (myself) booked!! I'm sure they do a ton of updo's as all 3 resorts share the spa. I thought you get more attention from them when the date gets closer. They are very busy but the whole situation is annoying. Trying to get things done without having confirmation on questions is impossible. I also did my last details sheet and haven't heard back yet. I just started making arrangements and explained to her that I had to move forward and I'd appreciate their cooperation. I can't even get a confirmation on desserts!!! I added what I wanted to the menu cards and they are done. Oh well, I hope that's ok! I have to start getting things done. I have my bach next weekend, so it leaves 2 weekends before we depart. I can't wait any longer! On a better note 25 days until we leave for Jamaica!!
  11. It was the best gift I could have done. It did get expensive buying all new cute things, plus the session and now the book is going to be pricey, but I still can't believe how much I love the pictures! I can't wait to show him all of them when we get home!
  12. I am so nervous to use shutterfly because of the content of the pictures! (they aren't full nude or anything, but still could lose my job if they got loose!) It's $5 a print for a professional photo album through my photographer -or- my photographer said she uses an online company that does photo pages printed. I'm assuming she uses shutterfly or something similar so theyd still be online anyway. She charges more than the online company does, due to her time in putting it together. I guess online is pretty safe.... I wonder who proofs the pages before it's shipped haha
  13. Did you have the book done with professional prints or pages printed (like shutterfly) I'm going through my images (488 of them!) and I don't know how the best way to put the book together is. I'm running out of time!!!
  14. Any past brides who used the DJ from the hotel for the ceremony? How did you provide music for them? I was told they fade the music as needed and an iPOD was fine, but I'm not sure how it all works. We are having a vendor for the reception but I am nervous about the music for the ceremony. I'm considering doing a play list AND CD for backup. Any tips would be great!!
  15. What bar were you having your welcome party at? I'm also nervous about the spa appointment now! I'm thinking I should call directly to confirm. I made 8 appointments!
  16. Sallys, and I have a membership so you get the cheaper price AND i usually have 20% off coupons. I'd recomend going into the store to look at them, and if you want to use my card for online let me know. I think its $5 for the membership so you can always do it yourself so you can buy them in the store. Definitely take them out of the box at the store bc the little swatches dont show the true color. Mine matched perfectly and I'm so excited I got them!! They were $80 with the coupons and everything.
  17. I'm not sure how long you are trying to get them, but I use Remy 14". They are clip in and SO easy to use!! I didn't want to go through the process of having them done professionally and taking care of them while swimming in the ocean. I've used mine a few times and they clip in quickly (less than 5 minutes) and double the volume!
  18. If I was printing everything I think I would totally splurge on a paper cutter. There is no way I'd manage on my own! Thankfully the printing company said they can cut everything to size no problem! Which paper cutter did you use just incase something changes and I need to buy one!? The spa is a great idea!!! I considered paying for their hair but not sure yet.. that would be another $600 expense. YIKES! I should sit down and do a timeline list, that would be more managable. I feel like I'm all over the place!
  19. I also was very productive this weekend!!! These are my rough drafts of the Escort Cards, Program, Menu Card (as you can see I cannot measure so the printing company will be cutting them!) and our "before you travel" Newsletter. I also got a STEAL on coach purses at the Coach Outlet by my house so girls gifts are almost done! What's everyone getting for their girls? I got so much accomplished this weekend but still feel anxiety about what I haven't gotten done!
