I was there the same weekend we will be there next year, and I didn't notice any bugs. I brought bug spray (among a million other things I packed) just in case, but I didn't even take it out. I'll probably bring it to be safe because if it happens to be more rainy that month it may draw some bugs, but as far as providing it for guests (in your OOT bag) I wouldn't bother.

I'm also wearing the Adorae!! Its soooooo beautiful!! Did another bride post the aution to sell it? I ordered mine in May and I'm hoping to have it in the fall! They said 6-9 months though....

I am using SunGold Photography. We did a site visit this past May and had engagement pictures done then, they came out AMAZING!!!! Clayton is our photographer, we did the engagement shoot, wedding and are doing a trash the dress the next day, so 3 sessions and they gave us a package deal. I definitely recomend checking out their website to see their pictures.

My TA is amazing!! She works for Avoya Travels which is an affiliate of American Express. She has a lot of pull locking in pricing and what not. She gets back to you in minutes sometime!! She's so nice and LOVES the extra planning (working with the WC) that I've needed some help with. PM me if you want her info.

I was just curious when you were planning on sending them out. (Since we sent out or STD about the same time, and we are getting married the same week.) I think Nov and Feb is a good time frame!

I sent mine last week, you're not behind!! It's still pleanty of time for guests to plan (and save). You couldn't really book flights much earlier than now anyway. When are you planning on sending the formal invites?

I finally am in contract with FunJet, our TA went back and forth with US Airways, FunJet, GoGo and one other company (I forget) until they all price matched each other. FunJet is in communication with Iberostar group department and offered the most "perks" for the wedding for my FI and I, so we went with them! My TA is amazing!! She's been working like crazy to get us the best rate! I recommend her to anyone!!

My mom picked out my dress... Yes, it's true! I tried on so many dresses and I didn't see anything I liked. She went and got this one... I fell in love instantly!! It should be here by Sept, can't wait to see it in my size!!!

I just stayed at the Beach over Memorial Day weekend for our site visit. (We are getting married at the Suites, but saved some $$ for the site visit) I originally had the same idea, to have my guests stay at either of the 3, BUT they are strict about guests from the other 2 coming to the Grand. (or the Beach coming to the Suites for that matter) We did engagement pictures (ok'd by Nicole at Suites) at the Suites, eventhough we were staying at the Beach, we got approached several times because we had different color bands. If your guests are paying less money to stay at the Beach, they can't wander to the Grand (like I originally thought they might be able to do) so they really wont see you if most of you are at the Grand. (and you won't want to leave the Grand to hang out at the Beach, trust me!) If you are looking to spend time with them only for the reception and they will go around the 60% rule, you will be ok. But make sure your guests know they will be approached if they are at a different resort than they are allowed. We decided to just do 1 resort because it's less stressful on the TA and I wanted everyone to be together when we are down there. ...and after being there, sunshine2413 is right, it would be a pain to have guests at all 3.

I went for a site visit a week ago. We originally had booked the Beach, so that's where we stayed, but we changed and are now having our wedding at the Suites. I almost didn't go for a site visit, but I'm glad I did!! Nicole (the WC at Suites) is Amazing! You should check with several TA, as different ones have better connections for group rates. They may be able to get your group rate lower so there wouldn't be as much difference in price between the Beach & Suites. Service was A+ at the Beach, food was great, but the Suites is just nicer. PM me if you want specific feedback. You have a choice between a U shape, or rounds. And I think they have 8 or 10 seat round tables too. (PS I'll send you those pics, I almost forgot!!)

Hi Ladies!! We confirmed our date a while ago, but I'm adding to the list!! For those of you wondering about the WC response time. It seems unreasonably SLOW! I emailed the Beach on March 6 a list of questions and still haven't heard back! I am going to visit in May and am hesitant now about the hotel. I can't wait until a month before the wedding to figure out costs (and surprises!). If we are having 50-75 guests they should be a little more responsive! I finally called my TA yesterday and she's going to take care of it. (I'm also not spending $50 on a 10 minute phone call either!) Those of you at the Beach, who is your WC? I thought Silvia was gone... I wasn't going to plan visits at other resorts while we are there, but at this point I think its a good idea. If there is another place more responsive, I may end up switching resorts. One thing I will say that I liked more from Sandals (when we were checking into a few different places) they have associate WC who help you via e-mails then you get a regular WC after you book. Iberostar WC are clearly over worked and understaffed because it's impossible to get responses from them! (and yessss I am being nice in the e-mails haha) I'll be sure to check out the bonfire situation and to see about playing music during the champagne toast that's a good idea @albellis. You pay for the mic & sound system in the wedding package so I would think they can oblige!

So this is the start of the centerpiece that I had in my head. There is going to be a table number luminary with velum (almost like a candle) on a cute candle stick holder next to it, but I'm not 100% satisfied with it. What does it need?!? Leah22, that's not the case at the Beach Resort. It does seem that the rules are different at every resort. At the Beach resort you pay a $100 VENDOR fee for an outside dj, photographer, band etc. PLUS you pay a pass $75 for EACH person in the group... so if I have a photographer with an assistant, its going to cost $250 to get them on site. This is in the agreement you sign: 6) VENDORS OFF PROPERTY: If the couple desires to hire any other supplier, for a service that it is provided by the hotel,each vendor will be assess separately to verify that they comply with the hotel policies & standards. This in this case will attract an additional cost of $100usd _ FLOWER SHOP: the hotel works with an outside flower shop called “Tai Floraâ€. All flowers services should be hired though this flower shop. The hotel will not allow any other flower vendor to be used on property. _ PHOTOGRAPHER: the hotel has an exclusivity agreement with the Photoshop on property “Digipix Ltd.â€. _ If you decide to hire an outside photographer, please note that you will have to pay the hotel the vendor’s fee of $100usd and also you will have to purchase a day pass of $75usd per person for every photographer. _ WEDDING PLANNERS: The hotel does not allow any outside wedding coordinators. If the wedding couple is using the services of a local wedding planner, she must be advised about our policies and that all wedding details will be dealt with and confirmed directly to the wedding couple. The outside wedding planner will be considered as another guest of the wedding and she will not be allowed to address or give instructions to any Iberostar staff. She must only address the hotel wedding coordinator for suggestions, comments or corrections, which the hotel wedding coordinator will double check with the couple. If the wedding planner should come on property on the wedding day or any other day during the couple’s stay, a day pass fee will apply. If the wedding couple is using the services of an overseas wedding planner, the hotel wedding coordinator could confirm and arrange wedding details with her (through emails or phone calls) but all final decisions must be confirm directly by the couple. If this wedding planner is staying at the hotel she can be involve as a witness in all the wedding planning but she can only address the hotel wedding coordinator for any suggestions, comments or corrections regarding the wedding events, which will be confirmed directly with the _ If the overseas wedding planner is not staying on property on the wedding day or any other day during the couple’s stay, a day pass fee will apply. _ MUSICIANS: the hotel has certain outside musicians that work for our different private functions. These musicians are recommended by the Hotel Entertainment manager and have audition for us in order to work within our premises. If the couple desires to hire another musician that is not part of the ones recommended by the hotel, the hotel will not be held responsible for their performance If the musician or band will stay/perform for an extended time, extra fees might apply in the case that food or beverage must be provided by the hotel. If you decide to hire an outside musician, please note that you will have to pay the hotel the vendors fee of $100usd and also you will have to purchase a day pass of $75usd per person for every musician Party providing services: (Iberostar Rose Hall Beach Hotel) Hope that clears it up for you!!!

That's great!!! Yeah I believe as long as they are getting their 3 night stay out of you they are fine with it. That's such a bonus to have a photographer in the family!
