HI MK0386 and JMK923, I got my lanterns and stringed lights from Ikea. They didn't have silver lanterns so I had to buy them from party city.

Hey MK0386, So far for decorations I have lanterns and stringed lights. As for centerpiece, I originally wanted to do what you are doing but I'm not sure I want to tote so much stuff down with me so my FI and I have decided on candies. It'll something for the guest to take back to their rooms. I would love to see how your centerpieces turn out. Can't wait for pictures.

Hey MK0386, What are you planning to bring for decorations? You and I are both having our reception at Zavas Plaza. So far, I bought lantern and stringed lights to wrap around the poles but i'm not too sure what to do for centerpieces. What are you doing for centerpieces? Since we are having our weddings in the same week, would you like to share decorations?

Wow, you have so much more done than I have. I need to really catch up. We only sent save the dates, blocked off hotel rooms, booked our photographer and got my dress. We also picked our locations for ceremony and reception. Where are you having your reception? Which menu did you pick and what are you doing for center pieces? I need to get started on the OOT bags soon and look for sheers and chair bows for the ceremony. I just bought lanterns for gazebo decoration and stringed lights for reception. Not sure what else to use. Any suggestions?

Hi MK0386, I'm so happy to know that there's someone else here that's getting married at AS around the same time as me. Nice to have someone to plan with and we should definitely meet up. When do you arrive at the resort? I have not decided on colours yet but I'm sure I definitely want to incorporate purple. Maybe purple, gray and blue but that's not very beachy. Or purple and teal. What do you think? What are your colours? Have you started planning a lot yet? I feel like I'm so behind. I barely have anything set and ready to go.

Hi vlivins, I'm from Canada too and the Ikea in Richmond has 18 inch paper lanterns on sale for $2.00. You might want to check it out. I just bought a whole bunch. But white lanterns are still $4.00 each. There are a variety of colours to choose from. Hope this helps.

Thanks for all the information murel. Did you bring your own paper lanterns for the receptions? If so, how much did the resort charge for setting it up? I want lanterns too and I want it to look like the picture below (so a lot). Do they charge per lantern or just a flat rate? Does anyone know how much it cost for a bonfire?

Hi brides, I'm completely new at this but I'm so excited to be planning my destination wedding set for June 25th, 2013. So glad I found this forum and I was hoping that some of you can help me. I would like to make OOT bags. What did you guys put in them? And where did you get the bag and items from? What did you guys do for a welcome party? How much did you have to pay? Did you guys come up with activities for the entire group to do? On or off resort? Did anybody have their reception poolside at the resort? What did you you for decoration? Was it too hot,humid or windy? I'm greatful for any help, suggestions and advice. Thank you brides!
