Hello Brides, I just got married at ROR and have been back for a few weeks. I know when I was planning I had so may specific questions and concerns and did not get some of my answers I thought I needed. I will say that other peoples advice to relax and just enjoy is true, but it is hard to take as your big day is coming up. I had a wedding of 62 people. I had the gazebo wedding in the garden and had a private reception on the ballroom terrace. It was fantastic!!! I had Keisha as my coordinator, and she was great.The staff was friendly and helpful and I could not really complain about much. I was at GPLH last May for a wedding and we got in fine for the restaurants. Although upon registering for our room I requested to get in right away for the list. In addition at that time when you are part of the wedding party you can get VIP which got us in to the restaurants first. Best advice is to ask when you get there, and be reaaaal nice to the front desk. This hotel is lovely and you will all have a great time. We did not choose this one as our friend just got married there.

Hey ladies, My wedding is booked for June 1, 2012. We have decided to go with a private dinner reception. It is hard making decisions with no real pics or getting specifics on my questions. Does anyone know of how the terrace reception looks? Also, some brides have brought their own decorations, do you think this is really necessary? Any info will help. Thanks.

For your reception, was it on the terrace for a private dinner? IF it was private was, did RIU come through adequately? Beautiful pictures, you just reminded me to get my sandals done. Thanks.

I am booked for June 1, 2012 wedding. We have scheduled a private dinner on the terrace? (Q1. Does anyone have any pics of a reception done on the terrace?) When you arrive does Riu upgrade your room usually? (If yes, did anyone get the jacuzzi room?) We were thinking abut the Royal package but then thought to go with the free one and just add on. It will probably end up being the same but we can do our own selections. Does Riu give you (the bride) all the room numbers of your guests? IS the free bouquet sufficient or should an upgraded one be fine? I have seen a few brides bring their own ceremony for the minister to perform, is this usual? Ok, this is probably enough for now, but any help is appreciated. Tiggytash

Hello ROR brides, I am getting married June 1, 2012 at 3pm at the beach gazebo. I am in a bit of stress mode as we a re figuring budgets and trying to find answers to the many questions we have. Does anyone have answers to the following: 1. With over 50 guests do you HAVE to do the upgraded wedding? 2. We want a private reception and currently we are having it on the ballroom terrace, does anyone have pictures of this location? 3.Did anyone bring their own decor? 4. DId you have to add alot of flowers for decor? 5. DId you have a microphone for the ceremony? For now this is all I can remember..(for tonight). Any info would help as we are trying to finalize our cinematographer and make he budget work. Thanks in advance. Tiggytash
