So happy to hear this! We leave in 4 weeks for RPRM. We also hired Adevnture Photos to capture our wedding! Thank you so much for sharing. Should I request Sergio? -
Cocktail hour/reception project - personalized straws I ordered some pinstriped straws from Etsy (Sweet Treats Boutique) and made personalized flags for them. I bought the paper for the flags at www.paperpresentations.com . The paper is a Matte finish called Desert Storm). Here is the generic template I used for the flags: Once I completed my design on the attached template, I printed the template and used a paper cutter to trim the flags. I used double-sided tape on the back of the flags and folded them in half by pressing the ends together. I then slid the flag onto the straw & secured it at the desired position with the tape. I then pressed the paper tightly together around the straw. Once the flag was secured, I cut out a "V" by freehand. Additonal Things I also ordered the following Thank You Cards for our Dinner Reception Plates from Etsy (That Pretty Invitation - Alexia Vondrachek) - they have been made navy blue with white print & personalized with our names. I will post a picture when I receive...they are en route! I am looking for affordable little burlap flowers to use to display them like in the picture. I just picked out our wedding cake - same as this picture, yet green and white flowers instead of the pink roses. We also ordered the anchor cake topper in the picture from Etsy (The Pink Owl Gifts). More to come....we leave in 4 weeks! Straw_Flags_Template.doc

WELCOME LADIES! I just started month 2 this morning. I had to get up extra early since I had to comeplete Fit Test #3 and then do Max Interval Circuit. Looks like month 2 goes to 1 hour workouts from 40 mins! I think we were pretty spolied last month! haha I am not following the Insanity Diet, hoewever, I am a LIFETIME Weight Watchers member so I have been just doing my WW. Although, I am gainign a little weight, however, I am assuming it's muscle. I actually weigh in this Friday so I am going to try and be GOOD with my food intake! Stay within my daily points. Keep up the great work!!! -
RIU RM Palace Brides??

It is confusing still to me and I have been at this for over a year now!!! LOL!!! You could ask to do the Free Package with a Private reception. I am unsure if they would do that, but it doesn't hurt to ask. I do know that the Free Pacakge is only available at the Riu Palace Mexico not the Riu Palace Riviera Maya. It only covers up to 10 people for a semi-private reception. So any additional guests to that 10 would be $22 pp for cake & champage and the set up of the addiitonal chairs for the ceremony, etc. The semi-private receptions are only 2 hours long and you cannot have music. PRIVATE RECEPTIONS are just that, PRIVATE. You have the entire restaurant to yourself for 4 hours. So you are paying an additional $50 per person ($40 food/$10 open bar service), for the restaurant being closed and all the waitstaff for that 4 hours. You can have music at a private reception. An ipod set up or you can hire the resort DJ. We are doing a ROYAL CIVIL CEREMONY PACKAGE at the Riu Palace Riviera Maya with a PRIVATE RECEPTION and a DJ at Chili's. We are not doing a "Specialty Menu" - just ordering off the menu. The specialty menu can be pricier than the $50 pp. They are letting me have a semi-private dinner the night before the wedding in the buffet in a privately sectioned off area of the restaurant. Let us know how you make out. GOOD LUCK!!! -

SO MANY BEAUTIFUL GOWNS!!!! AtoZ - your dress is so romantic/goddess looking. I love it. The back detail is equisite. VanessaBB - love love love a sweetheart neckline. My favorite! The bustle will be perfect for dancing! Your waist is so tiny! xoxo KaraMae - you and I have similar dresses. I love the lace, such a vinatge chic look. I agree with EVKnowsitall... a vintage bling sash/belt may be more rustic glam then the coral sash. I went with a bling sash as well. Regardless, you will make your FI's heart skip a beat when he sees you. Truly beautiful!! Trivera5521 - your entire dress is a WOW FACTOR! You look amazing! The corset back is so sexy! Congrats! 3 months will be here before you know it! xoxo Kay6356 - Where do I begin? I love everything about this dress. The sweetheart neckline and detail around the bust is my favorite. It acentuates your bustline beautifully. The corest back is amazing! Perhaps just bustle the bottom to come up and meet that 2nd lower row of "ruffle" (lack of a better word). I love how the whole bottom of the dress is so airy. It looks great on you! Good luck. MrsHK - I cannot believe how magnificent this gently used gown looks on you. It's as if it were custom made for you. The V back of the dress is so elegant. Leannesmith - Maggie strikes again! Spectacular dress - LOVE THE BACK! lgerry - another gorgeous back dress!!!! You look like a princess in a fairytale! So so pretty!!!!!!!!!! -

As promised, here are pics of my future hubby's Tungsten wedding band...I am excited he got one...last year he was saying he did not wish to wear one, so we have come a long way in a year! I like how the lips on each side match my e-ring. -

My FI got Tungsten as well. He does not wear much jewelry except his watch. We got it in a white gold brushed finish...if I think of it I will post a pic tonight. Yes, the jeweler said more durable and less expensive. -

Me too! I had that feeling when my dress came in 9 months after ordering. I even had to stop watching SYTTD because I was starting to see so many other pretty dresses! Although, I had my first fitting 2 weeks ago and now I am sure it is the dress!! It is all coming together now, the accessories, alterations, etc. I am super excited to wear it. We leave 5 weeks from tomrrow. It's only natural....xoxo -

Maggiemay1330 - good work! You are one patient girl...and you are right it's a long process of emails and getting the information from them. I know they mean well, but geez louise! I did not know about the premium alcohol - GOOD TO KNOW - thank you. That's a must! I love all your things you've done so far - the placecards are adorable!!!!! We leave in 5 weeks...I cannot believe this is really happening. Did you ever receive an appetizer menu? I have one that Nancy sent a few months back, but I am wondering if there is a newer one. The one I have has a picture of shrimp on the front. If you have one, is that the same? -

OOOOOhhhhhh, I love the one side strap....and the rouching.....Maggie dresses are so beautiful! Quote: Originally Posted by LilPumpkin Here is my Dress -
I know this is a very old post, but I was hoping to get some feedback.... Since we are getting married over the Easter 2013 break, we invited some extra people (my future inlaws, inlaws) so they could make it a FAMILY VACATION. It is my FI, Bill's sister-in-law's sister, husband & son. Our wedding is 7 weeks away. We have made comments to my FI's sister-in-law that the resort was filling up and that her sister & family should book now. We had 33 rooms reserved and all our friends/family booked. She indicated they are usually last minute people so they would book in due time...and they may not stay at our resort...they were still deciding. Well, they called this week to book at our resort and could not get in. IT'S FULL. They are forced to stay off property. My question is, do we offer to pay the resort's day passes for them? Even though they are last minute planners? I have only met the sister & her son on one occassion a few years ago and not the husband. They are staying near our resort for a few days and then heading back up toward Cancun at another resort. We have specifially stated on the wedding website that there are guest pass fees if they stay off site. Here's what we stated: Staying Off-Site? If you are planning to stay off site at a separate resort or hotel please be advised that Day Passes must be purchased in order for you to attend our wedding ceremony. If staying at a sister Riu hotel of lower category passes are $45 US/person. Persons staying in other hotels would pay $1o0 US/person. I am unsure what I want to do about this. My gut says we should pay, but it's not our fault the resort is booked. Any insight ?? Thanks.
