  3. I love your colors! I was thinking about using a nautical navy & perhaps turquoise, but never thought of the emerald green. Very classy. The bracelets are a beautiful touch. I lost my dad 17+ years ago and want to incorporate him into our ceremony. (Butterflies are his sign to us). Thank you for sharing with us! You were a stunning bride. May you live happily ever after!!!
  4. I love love love the travel coffee mug idea! MY FI & I go to on many all inclusive trips and always bring a travel coffee mug. A good thing to have when you want to take a walk on the beach so you have coffee or water to go! I may consider these as a favor or in the OOT bags. The countdown letter is cool - gets everyone excited. I may have to steal that! Something to send out when time gets closer! Thanks for paying it forward. I will be sure to do so once I get my plan rolling!
  5. HI Venus - I meant to ask you before. Was this template you purchased the $10 one or the $50 one? Thanks a bunch!
  6. Thank you for starting a thread to share these templates. I am just at my starting point and doing a lot of research & reading...these will come in handy! This website has som many wonderful ideas. I LOVE IT!
  7. WOW! I am speechless. Definitely a labor of love! They look so proessional....maybe you need to go into business! :-) Kudos! What did you end up doing for formal invitations?
  8. Love the Bickham Script Fancy!!!!!!!! One of my favorites. PS: Tammy, we stayed at Dreams in Cabo back in April 2007. One of my favorite vacation spots! Sunny everyday & no humidity!!! :-)
  9. LOVE THESE! I was looking to have some made for our boat, but now I just may include in our OOT bags! Thanks for sharing.
  10. A friend suggested the same thing to my FI & I. Get legally married before here in NYS before going to Mexico & then just have the spiritual ceremony in Mexico instead of the civil one.....no one the wiser. At first I thought no, we cannot do that. Although as I research the civil ceremony & see all the formalities, i.e., translation of pertinent docs to Spanish, have them notarized, the couple & 4 witnesses needing to be in Mexico 3 business days prior to wedding date for blood tests, licences etc., the costs add up. So I was almost "swayed" to do this. Although my FI (his 2nd marriage, my 1st) wants to make it official in Mexico. He wants the anticipation/excitement of the commitment. It's still early - the jury is out - all depends when we confirm our date. We want to schedule during the 2013 Easter/School break...anxiously waiting on the school board to approve. Once we have that, we then have to plan not only the wedding date, but the travel dates around those required 3 business days.
  11. I hear ya Ally! Our list is growing too! I was initially thinking a catamaran or boat excursion as well since we are avid boaters ourselves (power cruisers on Lake George), along with half our guests, but the cost may be too outrageous! I agree, people will understand, especially with group size!!!! We will just have to play it by ear. Us and a few of our guests have been to this resort before so the guys are already taking about golf & the women about the shopping we did last time. I plan to do OOT Bags, too! We are getting married at the same time! Something tells me we will be chatting a lot over the next 14 months! Good Luck!
  12. PHEW! Thanks for the immediate response, Tammy - good to hear (read)!
  13. I am checking it out right now! Thanks Abbie! You ROCK!!!
  14. Amy, I am going to follow your lead. We are looking to get married in April 2013. We just do not have a definite date & booking yet. We are waiting on the Easter/School break schedule for 2013. My FI's son will be a sophomore when we marry. The break is not guaranteed to be right after Easter so we have to wait. UGGHHH. Anyway, we hope to know at the LATEST by early April of this year...so I am drafting my STD's now with the date I think it would be if we do have that week after Easter off and will be ready to go in April at the latest with mailing them. I intend to include all the info you listed below. I've already reached out to a travel agent, picked the resort & started a website. Phew, tired already & so much more to do in the next 14 months!!!! LOL I hope to mail formal invitations out right after the 2013 New Year. Thanks to everyone for sharing in this thread!
  15. Oh how wonderful it would be....but no worries....I just made this website a FAVORITE and open every morning when I get to work and browse around on & off all day! (I'm bad!!!) LOL!
  16. I am still a newbie, and I too, have time to get to 150, and like you all, have found some attachments I would love to open, but what concerns me most is that this thread started in October of 2010 and it still appears to be unresolved? HELLO....??? HELP THESE LADIES, PRETTY PLEASE! <3
  17. First of all - all you beauties have amazing shoe taste! Keep posting!!!!! My shoe dream... Well, I found my dress...made the deposit & ordered it. A few days later I started to doubt my dress decision and asked my dad (in heaven, my guardian angel) for guidance. Let me know whether you think it's the right one! (Even though I cried when I had the dress on!) Anyway, later that day as I was browsing wedding shoes on the internet. I knew I wanted to wear a flat / little heal blinged/embellished thong like sandal...since I am 5'10 & Bill, my FI is 6'1. I came across these ballerina peep toe flats....I started to cry. See, my father's sign to our family since we lost him 17+ years ago...is a butterfly. Whenever we see one - it's when we seem to miss him or need him the most. You can imagine my emotion when I found these. Well, for a mere, $654.10 plus $42.00 shipping to the US I can own them for $696.10! As beautiful as they are, I do not think I can justify the cost. Although, seeing these made me realize Dad was telling me I picked the right dress. I will find a way to incorporate Dad to my day, a butterfly somewhere...I so wish I could find knock offs of this shoe. Fellow brides, please keep your eye out for me! I have time....April 2013. xoxo Happy Planning! *Note: Shoe is Aruna Seth,, Liana Ivory Pearlised Leather Peep Toe Ballerina
