  1. I think you found the PERFECT DRESS! I especially love the color & chiffon is my FAV! Congrats!
  2. The dress is STUNNING! You look dynamite. What a great idea to make a detachable skirt! PERFECT!! Love it! Congrats!
  3. I am so excited to share our Thank You cards we ordered and customized on Etsy. They are actually 4 x 6 postcards. We ordered them through Serendipity Beyond Design. Here is their link on etsy : http://www.etsy.com/listing/61163303/vintage-wedding-thank-you-postcard-bride?ref=usr_faveitems As well as their website: http://www.serendipitybeyonddesign.com/ Ginger was delightful to work with. FRONT: BACK: We did not want to write our personal note of thanks on the left side of the postcard (over our picture) & we did not want to move the picture to the right side...we like how this lines up as it is. So we will write our note of thanks to the right of the picture (where an address would normally go). We opted to order matching kraft brown envelopes to mail these in rather than sending as a true postcard. We want people to be able to frame it if they choose. We love how they came out!!! Cannot wait to receive them so we can write our thank you's! I feel so bad. I know the etiquette for Thank You's is a year, but I want to have them done by July 2nd which will make it 3 months! PS: I am in the process of starting my wedding review...be sure to stop back & see! Thanks for reading!
  4. Thank you Amberya17! Our OOT bags were a HUGE HIT! Everyone loved them! It was so cool to see everyone walking around with their drink tumblers, carrying their anchor bags to the pool & beach., using their koozies for bottle beers, applying my personalized chapsticks...our friends were so stoked! I had a friend who just traveled to Boston for a wedding and she texted me that I needed to give a lesson in Gift Bags! A great compliment!
  5. Thank you Lucy79!! I loved my dress so much! I was sad when I got it back from the cleaners in it's preserved box....I want to wear it again!! LOL It's never too early to start looking for your dress!!!! Cannot wait to see what you pick out!!!
  6. Erika's email address is [email protected] They did a great job for us! Only 1 hiccup - on the late shift - 1 late arrival (after 11 pm) and the desk missed it. No complaints when since we handed out close to 40 bags! I would drop off the bags each morning & give a little tip for distributing. I gave them $1 a bag for tip. I had welcome tags on them with my guests names. The one girl I worked with at the front desk liked going through that days check ins with my guest list & made a note on their check in docs that they had a bag there for them.
  7. Your dress was stunning - gorgeous bride! You are so right!!!! ENJOY EVERY SECOND LADIES!!!! I am so sad our day is over & wish I could wear my dress again! I miss planning our wedding!!!! xoxo
  8. Sorry ladies, did not mean to post that 3 times!!! Brunette moment.
  9. Hi Shannon, I bought the luggage tags & their plastic strips from www.idcardgroup.com They come in different colors. Here is the links for the actual tags & strips below: https://www.idcardgroup.com/tags/1840-620 $47.99 for 100 tags (computes to $0.48 per tag) https://www.idcardgroup.com/tags/2410-20 $5.40 for 100 strips (computes to $0.05 per strip) I have I think over 30 leftover. I need to go through my things and possibly sell them. I also bought my navy blue lanyards and clear cases for the key/card holders there. https://www.idcardgroup.com/holders/hangingbadgeholders/1815-1110 https://www.idcardgroup.com/lanyards/braid-lanyard/round%20woven%20nylon I think I have at least 30 of these left over too!!!
  10. Per the Riu Palace Riviera Maya website - it says - Free Package: Provides you the opportunity to create a simple yet elegant wedding in paradise. It is required a minimum of five rooms booked with a minimum of three night stay. Available only at RIU Palace Mexico.
  11. Packing wise, it was easier to wait to assemble bags until we arrived in Mexico. We arrived a few days before the majority of our guests arrived. So, I "started" them the first evening I was there, prior to bedtime. I was so excited to be there and to do it that I worked on adrenaline and completed them all. I put them in different parts of the room based on our guests arrival dates. I had packed things in a very organized way that I was able to work in an assembly-line manner.
  12. We had our legal/civil ceremony in Playa del Carmen, Mexico on Tuesday, April 2nd, 2013. Rather than waiting on all the paperwork in order to have it legalized here in New York State, we got a marriage license prior to departing for our DW. We arrived home from Mexico, Saturday, April 6th & were legally married in our home on our 8 year dating anniversary, Monday evening, April 8th by my hubby's best friend who was ordained online. Close family and friends came over for it. It was perfect! I felt it was the perfect day to solidify it all - and it was symbolic to us. xoxo
  13. Our ceremony songs were as follows: Interlude: Somewhere Over the Rainbow - Israel Kamakawiwo'ole Marry Me - Train Matron of Honor Entrance (my mom): Just The Way You Are - Guitar Tribute Players (guitar instrumental of Bruno Mars song) Bride Entrance: Come Away With Me - Norah Jones Signing of Civil Marriage Certificates: We Are Man & Wife - Michelle Featherstone Announced Man & Wife - Recessional: Signed, Sealed and Delivered - Stevie Wonder
  14. Yes, I had 7 tables. I had 63 guests & Bill & I made 65. (We had a few last minute cancellations - 7 to be exact, within the last 2 months prior to the wedding - things happen - no biggie). Luckily they all had the travel insurance. Based on table assignments this is how it worked out...I gave Erika an Excel Sheet listing the Table #'s & the guests name sitting at each. They set up all the tables accordingly. Table 1: 8 people Table 2: 9 people Table 3: 9 people Table 4: 10 people Table 5: 10 people Table 6: 8 people Table 7: 9 people Head Table: Bill & I You will have plenty of room for 50 at Chili's!!! The service is AMAZING! They will cater to you, big time!
