  1. Peach - ABSOLUTELY say #1! Love it! And your It fits your bodice beautifully. So gorgeous. So pretty! Very similar to mine! No way do you need to lose 10 lbs!!!
  2. I agree with you! They are great totes - try & wait, but keep "looking" along the way - you would hate to be cut short and run out of time!!!! Backup plans are good! Best of luck!
  3. WOW factor is right! You look absolutely amazing in this dress. Looks like it was made for you! COngrats!
  4. WOOT HOOT! 4 booked! That's awesome, Jess! It's a start & they will all follow!!!! I hear you about patience because I have like close to 10 more people "who say" they are coming and still have not booked. I am just getting nervous because the week is Easter Break and almost all the flights out of our airport are starting to fill up and the prices keep rising! We thought the same about the cigars at first, but figured in town they would be close to $10 a piece depending on how good they were. (My FI is picky) I moved some money around in our budget for it. It was the first thing he "really" showed interest in. lol I had made some matches made up a few months ago so we are going to roll with it (pun intended!) Here is the design.
  5. I love your dress CandyApple13! Your day is fast approaching! Cannot wait to hear all about it! Are you wearing colored shoes with it???
  6. Update from Nancy - you cannot just have once person there, I have checked about the Cigar Roller team, and they say they charge the same, since they would need 2 people to set everything. It seems that one person is not enough, so price would be 450 usd"
  7. Happy Monday Girls! I spoke with Nancy last week & I just wanted to share the cost of the Cigar Roller at the RPRM. $450 usd 2 people with uniform, 1 person hand-making the cigars, the other explaining process in English 200 usd 40 cigars hand made 260 usd personalized rings with your initials I am going to check & see if I can just have the one person rolling...I do not need someone explaining the process in English. I will let you know what I find out.
  8. Hi Emily, You need to get to 150 posts or you can make a donation I believe of $30 and become a supporter.
  9. These came out amazing! Congrats!!! Fun DIY, huh??? Here are some pics of mine - we have a nautical wedding theme.
  10. Hi Girls! Hope all is well in your worlds & wedding planning is moving along nicely!!! I am using Adventure Photos as well. Jess, it was me who sent you the price list. They have a Facebook Page & also sent me some links of their work. Here is their FB page link: https://www.facebook.com/adventurephotos Here is their price list. Here are some links for Adventure Photos: Their website: http://adventurephotosmx.com/ RPRM Galley of Photos: http://riupalacerivieramaya.adventurephotos.com.mx/ Their Trash the Dress Sample: http://michelleadilttd.riupla.adventurephotos.com.mx/#/slideshow-1/ I was going to hire an outside photographer, but you are right, very pricey and a bride here on the forum helped me make the decision - did I want beautiful photos or pieces of art? Some of these outside vendors are amazing & create such beautiful pieces of art on film!!!! Hence more $$$, too. I opted for beautiful photos. I also have a flower brochure Nancy sent me as far as some arrangements they have available. I attached here. Hope this helps! xoxo Weddings price list dec 2012 engUSD.pdf FOTOS.pdf
  11. Hi Tara, Congrats on booking your wedding!!! Welcome to the Forum! My wedding is scheduled at RPRM for April 2, 2013. Nearly 6 months away! Time flies!!! You should be able to discuss cocktail hour & reception options with the Riu's Wedding Planner. He name is Nancy Hernandez Gonzalez. Her email address is [email protected] They normally do not reach out to you with planning detais until 2-3 months prior to your wedding date, although I am sure if you sent her an email with some questions, she would get back to you within a few days. She is pretty helpful. Good Luck & Happy Planning!
  12. I cannot open the facebook link. I found you on Facebook, but cannot find the RPRM photos. :-( Can you resend link or post some more? Thanks!!!!

We have been sharing ideas in the thread I pasted below: http://www.bestdestinationwedding.com/t/25118/riu-rm-palace-brides It may help you to read this thread from beginning (page 1) to recent postings by us, the current brides, (page 379) to learn about the resort/wedding planning ideas. MY FI & I used Wright Travel (highly recommended on this website). Our TA is Wendy Hicks and she is FABULOUS! We did a group booking and have 55 people booked so far!
