I know the reception feels far too short! My FI and I extended 2 hours (for a pretty penny I may add) which I think is a really good investment bc I have 86 guests and I dont really want to show up to the "disco" in my wedding dress since I have to wear it for an AHR it will probably be a disaster if I do that LOL. My wedding is coming up so quick! I can wait..lots of little things still to do. Pilar is much faster in her response now though!
I found a seller on Etsy that made a sand ceremony picture frame which I ended up ordering. I think the idea is a little more fun and unique than the whole jar of sand idea. That being said it will probably be heavier. Good thing we have lots of family and friends bringing extra luggage!
Usually the receptions are 3 hours in length unless you pay for additional time. If oy just trade your live music it is worth 2 hours DJ time. For us we have extended the reception so we will pay for a bit of time also. If you keep at 3 hours you could use ipod for dinner music and have the DJ do the remaining 2 hours?
Love the photography checklist. This idea was givent to me by the last 2 brides of weddings I've attended as things they wish they would have done ahead of time. Such a busy day that we sometimes forget the little things.
here is mine: Lucky- Jason Mraz/ Im yours- Jason Mraz Make you feel my love- Adele Heaven (Candilight mix)- DJ sammy Better together- Jack Johnson Kci & jo jo- All my life All for love- Brian adams, rod stuart, sting Everything I do- brian adams Got it right this time- keith urban Neyo- stop this world Will most likely trim it down a bit and move some into the dinner songs..
I am getting married Jan 17th 2013 and bought my dress at the end of March of this past year. The store said it would be 6-8 months for them to produce it, but it arrived in August.
We have a similar budget but your hotel costs are looking quite a bit cheaper then ours. We were a originally planning 20K but I think we will be a bit over. This also includes AHR, attire, rings, e photos. Things add up very quickly!!
Gorgeous cakes ladies!! I have heard that the cakes are a little messier looking down in mexico at some resorts, but I am still hoping to glam it up a bit
I was talking to my FMIL about guestbook ideas and wanted to do something a little bit different. She then came up with this idea to have these flat sort of rocks that each couple/guest could write a little something on with some cool pens and we could varnish them after we got home and keep them in a cool vase or something. I thought what a great idea, but who wants to bring like 80 rocks to mexico and back right? She totally volunteered and got all the rocks and has been on top of sending me pics of different rock/pen combos. She is so cute! Love her! I have also seen the engagement photos done as well which I tohught was beautiful and much easier to execute!
Does anyone have a welcome letter template? Or how about a survival kit topper? All the amazing brides that have posted them I cannot get them because I don't have enough posts
Still stuck on this one... I am leaning towards the classical Canon in D (romantic) just because it its so bridal. Which is sort of unlike me because I usually like to change things up. Maybe I just havent found a song that speaks to me.
I am having one of my BM do my hair b.c she is a hair stylist. This way I can do a trial ahead. I traded the free hair for a make up trial with the resort. This way if I dont like it I can just do my own make up and use that one one of the BM. Also when I read all of the resort reviews most girls were pretty happy with the spa, but they did say they brought photos and that the spa used A LOT of hair spray making your hair pretty hard- although with the humidity and wind in Mayan Riviera may not be such a bad thing with hair that makes it all night long.
