  1. I have Lorena! But my wedding isn't until December so I haven't gotten in to a lot of details with her yet. I will say that she has been excellent at responding to emails. She always responds timely and her responses always answer my questions. Hope this helps! Good luck!!!
  2. Yup. I don't think Evangelina is an actual coordinator. I think she is the head person you set everything up with. I had been in contact with her for several months and then just last month she "introduced" me to my new coordinator, Lorena. So I think Yamina and Lorena are the 2 actual coordinators who you do all your final arrangements with. Atleast that's what I've gathered from reading this board.
  3. Are you using Adventure Photography for the wedding? if so, you can use that extra 30 minutes the day of the wedding if you don't want it at the rehearsal.
  4. So it's the same price as paying for the sound system by itself? In that case, I'll take the DJ!
  5. You have the same issue we do. Fiance and I live in Houston, My family lives in Dallas area and all of his family is in New York and South Carolina. Our parents met and that's it. That's why I'd really like to do a dinner. I'm going to talk to my fiance's parents about it. So is El Patio not an option? I'd like to do ours there!!
  6. Yeah I know!! We wanted to have some sort of welcome thing but I just don't wanna pay per person when it's an all inclusive! I was thinking about having everyone gather for welcome cocktails at the lobby bar instead. And then everyone can go to one of the restaurants and we can sort of sit together in the same area, maybe not at the same table. I don't want like a special menu or any special service. I would just like all of us to have a table together. I've heard if you get there right when it opens and tip the guy at the door they'll work something out, but I hate to just play it by ear like that.
  7. Thank you so much for posting this!! You looked gorgeous!!! How much extra did you have to pay for the DJ to do the ceremony for you?
  8. Your welcome dinner... did you set that up with your wedding coordinator and are you paying per person?
  9. How is everyone distributing their OOT/welcome bags? I'm a control freak and scared to give over control to the hotel!
  10. http://pinterest.com/pin/180495897535418884/ This the look we're going for except with teal ties to match the BM dresses And since the ceremony is at the gazebo they're wearing brown dress shoes and not going barefoot
  11. Does anyone know how far in advance we have to tell the hotel how many guests we'll be having at the ceremony/reception? Or do we just tell them when we get there? We're fixing to order invitations and wanted suggestions on RSVP date!
  12. I believe that this reception is at the seaside grill http://delsolphotography.com/blog/content/galleries/?gal=290
  13. we are having the DJ. I know it's expensive but in my opinion after I pay to put all the songs we want on my iPod, it'll be almost the same amount and ALOT less hassle just to hire the DJ!
  14. absolutely carry it on in a garment bag. I've heard that they will let you hang it up in the flight attendants closet.
  15. We booked a regular ocean view room but I'm kind of regretting it now after hearing the rave reviews of the preferred club on here. Our travel agent has promised to do everything to get us upgraded though so *hopefully* we'll end up in the honeymoon suite or at least a regular preferred room!
  16. I have several pictures of the gazebo and pool deck pinned on my wedding board on pinterest http://pinterest.com/savs1027/wedding-inspiration/
  17. gorgeous!! We're doing the same colors as you! Did you bring those pink flowers with you that were on the end chairs at the ceremony? Love the way that looked!!
  18. Since your wedding is in January you should probably be on the same time frame as me (i'm getting married Dec. 17th) I was originally scheduled for 4pm ceremony and 6pm reception. When I talked to Anel (the photographer) she said that a 4pm ceremony would be too close to getting dark. So, we are doing 3:30. She said that would be a perfect amount of time to have the ceremony in the daylight and then take pictures afterwards at sunset. We're not doing an official cocktail hour (just having our guests gather at the beach bar) and then our reception is from 5:30-8:30 at the pool deck. Hope this helps!
  19. We're getting married at our church on a Saturday then we leave that next Thursday. Just our immediate families will be there and we will take off our rings immediately following the ceremony. And we'll celebrate our Mexico wedding as our anniversary.
  20. Thank you SO much for your review! You looked absolutely stunning and I love your dress!!! This makes me more and more excited for December to get here!!
  21. This is the videographer for the hotel... http://www.videowedd.com/ The package 1 is the video that's included in the ultimate package from the resort. Everything else is extra. I've emailed them a couple of times and haven't heard anything back so they aren't very good with communication. But, I'm just doing what's included with the package so I guess it's guaranteed they'll be there...? Anyone else have problems with them responding to emails?
