  1. Hey ladies! I think I've posted this link before, but wanted to again. I have a blog and almost every Wednesday I do Wedding related posts. Today I posted about the bridesmaids gifts! Thought y'all might be interested! I got some great things from Etsy! http://www.savanahsmiles.com/2012/09/wedding-wednesday-bridesmaid-and.html
  2. hmmmm, I think that since you are paying for everything else, it wouldn't be a big deal to ask them to do that. I mean, that's alot of $$ you are spending on their dress, shoes, jewlery, etc.
  3. And this is exactly why we are not doing a rehearsal dinner We are having a meet and greet in the Lobby bar 2 nights before the wedding. It's going to be at 5pm... Everyone can drink (for free) and mingle and Then whoever wants to can all show up to the restaurant together and eat together. A tip goes a long way in Mexico so I'm sure a tip could get your 18 people sitting together. And if I remember what Lorena said correctly, even paying the $15 per person does not guarantee you at the same table. You will be in the same section but not everyone at the same table. The only way you are guaranteed same table is if you close the restaurant down.
  4. All the photo packages include a CD of the images. I actually don't think you get any printed images unless you pay for them. Atleast that's what it looks like to me. But if you look at the wedding guide it does say the CD is included in all the packages. We're getting the $1500 package. I want to do the TTD so that made the most sense for us.
  5. I know this has been asked here before but now I can't find it! Can you pay for the wedding with travelers checks? Does that work like cash or do they prefer credit cards?
  6. Someone wanted to know about the quality of the Koozies I ordered from http://www.totallyweddingkoozies.com... AWESOME!!! We got ours in the mail last week and they are so cute and really good quality. And they give you a free bride and groom one with your order! These are something that I know everyone will use at the resort and after the wedding and they were cheap! Customer service from the website was great too. You can pretty much customize them however you want! I will post a picture soon!
  7. Beautiful!!!! Your TTD pics look AMAZING!! Gorgeous weather that day. And I love the last TTD picture with all the people in the background. So cute!!!!
  8. We're doing our welcome party there at 5pm a couple of days before the wedding. I'm passing out the OOT bags there and then everyone can go have dinner together or do their own thing the rest of the night.
  9. Thanks for the info! Luckily b/c it's December, our cocktail hour is going to be around 4pm. I already checked with Lorena on the times
  10. We are meeting at the lobby bar for a "welcome party." And then using the beach bar for the "cocktail hour" I didn't want to pay for these since we're at an all inclusive so we're just telling guests to gather there.
  11. We're arriving on the 13th and getting married on the 17th! I guess we'll see you there!!!!
  12. What day in December are you getting married? We're the 17th! I can't help with much of this except for the photographer and DJ. I know the hotel charges ALOT of money for outside vendors. We are using both the hotel DJ and photographer. Anel with adventure photos is supposedly the best, but I've seen several photographers work from the company and they are all fantastic! Here's adventure photos email: Dreams Riviera Cancun Photo Team <[email protected]> Visual sound is the DJ guy. heard nothing but good things about him too. Here's his email: Cesar Mauricio Neri Salazar <[email protected]> Maybe we'll see you in Mexico!
  13. Lorena told me 6-10 per table. We are going to try to do 8 per table. We're not doing assigned seating so I dont know about the seating chart
  14. We are not going to do a log on the Bubba Keg's. I decided that most people (mainly the guys) wouldn't ever use it again if it had Savanah and John written on it I found the cheapest place is actually the Bubba Keg Website. We are getting these: http://www.shopbubba.com/p-52-bubba-20-oz-travel-mug-classic-black.aspx They have black, blue, purple and gray and we'll get a mixture of the colors. they are 7.49 original price but you get 15% off if you spend more than $200. So, they end up being about 6.36 each and only 4.99 flat rate shipping. Yes, it's expensive, but I think in the long run, these will get used more! I know some of the young guys going would not carry around a cheap mug in our wedding colors with our name on it. But they would use a gray or black bubba keg at the resort and once they got home! That's just my take on it
  15. Gorgeous pictures!!!!!! Anel did a fabulous job! You were such a beautiful bride!! I can't wait to read your full review!!
  16. Thanks!! I just ordered the koozies yesterday so I will let you know when we receive them how they are! If we were having 100 guests, I'd probably reconsider the bag idea... That is a lot of money and ALOT of room in your suitcases!!!
  17. any one have a template for a welcome brochure or newsletter that they're putting in the welcome bags?
  18. Hey girls! I ordered our maracas on Wednesday from Amols and got them yesterday! I just wanted to let y'all know that they are excellent quality incase anyone is thinking about using these in their wedding! You have to get assorted colors so they may not match your wedding colors, but I love them and can't wait to use them at the wedding!! And they were only $2/pair!! http://www.amols.com/catalog/traditional-maracas-pair We plan on putting these on everyones ceremony chair with their program with a note tied to it saying "shake this maraca with all your might as you see the groom kiss his new wife" cheesy i know, but people will get the point and know what they're supposed to do
  19. we are doing them I think it's a nice gesture when everyone is coming so far for the wedding. We ordered the set of 20 bags from Wedding Chicks http://shop.weddingchicks.com/bienvenidos-chevron-stripe-welcome-wedding-tote-set-of-20/ They run specials every once in awhile where you can get a discount. Ours turned out super cute! As far as the contents we are doing: -bubba kegs (for people to use at the pool and beach) -koozies http://www.totallyweddingkoozies.com/) -playing cards -medicine (tylenol and pepto) -chapstick -kleenex -underwater camera (this is still up in the air b/c we can't find good prices on them) -sunscreen (we got travel sizes recently at target for 92 cents) -aloe vera -hand sanitizer -bandaids -puzzle books (like sudoku, crossword puzzles, etc) -welcome brochure/letter
  20. Lindsey - I looked at your original slide show when you posted it on Facebook, but am just now looking at the second one! OH MY!!!!! Anel did some amazing work and she caught some fabulous pictures of you and your wedding!!!! Everything was gorgeous!!!!!!!!
  21. crap, not sure why that didn't show up!!! Sorry! I can't get facebook at work so I'll have to post it when I get home. But you can probably do a search for his page. it's Visual Sound Music for your Eyes
