Our wedding actually isn't until Dec 17 But I just wanted to go ahead and offer it up to anyone incase anyone was going to be buying table covers or tealights. I will most definitely post pictures once we get back!! These are the chair sashes: http://www.weddinglinensdirect.com/8xemorchsaja.html And these are the overlays: http://www.weddinglinensdirect.com/85emorovja91.html I will post a pic of the lanterns too later on. Yes I will ship to UK if postage is paid!

Are any of you using teal/turquoise or pink as your wedding colors? I am going to have alot of decorations to sell once we return in December if anyone is interested. I know I'll have 5 teal table overlays and 40 matching chair sashes as well as about 25 pink glass tealight lanterns. I can post pictures if you're interested.

A bride that got married in July did this. Her screen name on here is LindseyM I believe. She wrote a long review about everything. I'm sure you can go back some pages and find it and see if she mentioned the catamaran tour ( i think she does). Her wedding was in July so it shouldn't be too far back. I think this is a great idea and wish we could coordinate something like this for everyone.

I dont know if any of y'all have seen this yet, but I found this great thread here on this site regarding customs and getting your stuff to Mexico... http://www.bestdestinationwedding.com/t/41422/customs-in-mexico-an-effort-to-gather-the-info-in-one-thread Luckily I've kept all my receipts (thanks to everyones help on this thread!) and now I'm making a excel spreadsheet with all our items we're bringing. Once we get everything divided by suitcases I'm going to print and highlight which items are in that suitcase and place it on the top so if they go through it, it's all right there!

Nope! At first, I was going to make the fan programs with just grandparents, parents, and wedding party names, a little in memory thing for lost family members, etc, but I'm burned out on DIY!! haha. I thought about all the weddings I've been to and if programs are really needed and I decided nope! That's one DIY I decided not to do!

[email protected] that's the email I have. Just from reading this board for the past 10 months, it seems the Caribbean buffet was the most popular! that's what we're doing

Thanks for all the suggestions!! We are using the DJ for the ceremony and reception. I emailed him asking if he knew about times as well. This is the last big thing we're deciding on! Everything else is pretty much done!!! I have to make 1 more big purchase for the OOT bags and that's it!! We're just waiting on a few more people to decide if they're coming or not before we order them. 9 days!!!! I can't wait to hear all about it!!!!

We leave in 45 days!!! I am tying up loose ends and am working on our music, finally... I decided to use a song for the sand ceremony, but can anyone tell me how long this usually is? I love Jack Johnson - Angel but it is only 2 minutes. I'm worried it's not long enough. Also, anyone know about how many minutes of music we need to get the parents and bridal party down the aisle? I'm getting married at the gazebo and I'm not sure where we we start from!! Also, if anyone can share their song choices for processional, recessional, walking down the aisle, etc that would be a great help!!!

hey girls!! Just wanted to share something that I found recently.... Instead of hiring a videographer we are using Story Mix Media! Here's the website: http://weddings.storymixmedia.com/ Basically they send you those flip cameras and people at your wedding video everything. People can also use their cell phones and upload to the iPhone app they have. Then You send the cameras in after the wedding and they'll combine all of the footage and do all the editing and you have an hour long video!! I personally chose this over hiring the resort videographer (who I've heard dose a mediocre job). I think it will be awesome to have footage of the whole 9 days there.... the welcome party, the rehearsal, etc etc. They have been awesome to work with and are even making some exceptions for me since we'll obviously need the cameras more than the standard time for a regular wedding. I just wanted to share about them since I know there's been alot of talk about the resorts videographer!!

Thank you!!!! I was so happy with them! NO ONE used the spot for telling me how many were coming!!! I guess they couldn't tell that's what it was for??? I was really surprised! I definitely think 2 months is ok. I wish I would have put 2 months. We still have 5 people who are 'maybes' and I NEED to know so I can order the last bit of the OOT bags. I'm hoping they have it all figured out by Nov 1st! I've found that alot of people aren't RSVPing. It's people I am pretty sure won't make the trip, but there is a reason I put a stamp on the RSVP card!! I guess they think because it's a destination wedding they dont need to? I can't wait to see yours!!

No, she just sent me the word document. The only thing with prices that I have is the wedding guide that's on the website. We had already discussed prices for the flowers in a previous email, but as far as picking different types of chairs, dance floor, lighting, etc, I have nothing on those! My email is [email protected] if you could send it to me! Thanks!!!

Yeah, I am under the impression that Eva isn't actually a wedding planner - I think she is the head lady. Seems like everyone starts off with her and then she passes you along to someone else. She did that with me a few months ago, probably because I kept bugging her about stuff! haha. This is the first I'm hearing Gabby's name so she probably is new!! What did you think of that word document? I responded and told her I couldn't make all those decisions without knowing prices so hopefully she'll get back with me on some of that. It makes me feel better that someone else said that nothing is set in stone based off of that.

Yeah, I thought 4:45 seemed early too but I'm just going off of that website and what Anel told me. I figured she knew the best since she lives there. She said that that part of the beach gets dark about 25 minutes earlier than what the website says. And the time that the website says is the last ray of light. So, on December 17th, according to that website the last ray of light is going to be at 5:09. 25 minutes before that is about 4:45! I will be really glad if it's later.... but I didn't want to take any chances and have it be dark for our pictures.

I just got the word document from Lorena to start filling in details and I was just wondering if anyone else did this? How set in stone are these details?? It's really hard for me to tell them yes I want things if I have no idea how much they are... I was just planning on adding additional things once we got there after we found out about price.

We are getting married in December so we haven't done this yet, but we plan on doing our "cocktail hour" at the beach bar. We are going to be having around 30-35 guests. We plan on having the mariachi band there on the beach for the guests and also us taking some pictures there with them so we can enjoy it a little bit before we take the rest of our pictures. Atleast that's how I have it pictured in my head. Of course it could change after we talk to Lorena once we get there. When in December are you getting married? Something you might want to look at is the time it gets dark... We're getting married December 17th and Anel (the photographer) told me that 4pm was too late for the ceremony. She said there won't be any time for photos after the ceremony because it will be too dark. She sent me this website: http://www.timeanddate.com/worldclock/astronomy.html?n=923 She said to keep in mind the time listed there is when the last ray of sun is and on the beach it gets dark about 25 minutes before the time listed. So, we're looking at about a 4:45 complete darkness on Dec 17th!! We are starting our ceremony at 3:30 so hopefully we'll have a good 45 minutes of pictures before it gets dark. And I think we'll be taking them right at sunset. Hope this helps!
