Sharon99 has a good suggestion is just getting a couple friends to stand with you while you're waiting. They can help you with your dress and your nerves +1. As much as I'm enjoying the process of planning my wedding, this is one thing that I'm glad I don't have to worry about coordinating. Forget traditions and expectations, do whatever will make the two of you happiest.
  2. Nice Job! I chose monogram #2 with the waves, but I can't help but wonder if the design would benefit from the darker burgundy color that you used in #1 and #3... Just a thought.
  3. Hi Tammy, Just a quick question for you. I just signed-up for the webinar, but I have already reserved and put in a deposit for my wedding at Now Jade. I am currently working with Teresa in regards to blocking-out rooms and will probably complete a contract with her before the webinar date of March 24th to ensure 2012 group rates. If all this is done prior to attending the webinar, will I qualify for the amenities/gifts noted? Thanks
  4. I love buttons; they were actually a requirement in my dress selection. I didn’t try on a single lace-up/corset style dress. I didn’t think it embodied the look I was going for. I do have real buttons though which might get a bit time consuming, but I’ll have plenty of help!
  5. I think your spanish theme is tastefully executed, they look so professional. I love them, definitely a job well done!
  6. Hey pacificgirl... Fellow Oregonian here! And hello to all the other BDW Brides, congrats on your engagements! I've been a steadfast lurker for the past +/- 8 weeks and am now transitioning into a active member here on the boards. My Fi and I have officially set a date of May 18, 2013, this will be our exact 6 year anniversary of our first date! We decided on the Now Jade Riviera Cancun Resort for our destination wedding and couldn't be more excited. We have actually traveled to the Riviera Maya to celebrate our 2nd and 4th anniversaries so the location is very fitting.
  7. Meeshie, Jasmine Couture has beautiful dresses and this one is perfection on you!
  8. My Fi proposed on my birthday which was a little over 4 years. We are getting married on the exact 6-year anniversary of our first date!
  9. Thanks for the input and compliments ladies. This Dress is by Alvina Valenta. I love the attention to detail and construction of her dresses. I am definitely amoung the 30% of women who purchased a dress that was consistant with what they originally envisioned...All 3 dresses that i ultimately chose between were ones that I had went into the bridal stores with pictures of.
  10. LOVE my dress, it fit's my personality perfectly! Unfortunately, I have to wait until 2013 to wear it. But this gives me time to decide on whether or not I will keep the one shoulder strap on convert the dressinto a strapless. Any thoughts?
  11. Does anyone know the resorts policy regarding wedding guest that are not staying at the resort? I know that a day pass will be required, but didn't know if there were any restriction. For some resorts, off-site guest cannot exceed more the 20% of the total number of guest attending the wedding.
