We'll have 22 guests including the Bride & Groom and we contracted Sassha Gluck for our wedding photography.

How are you two making out?!?!?

I have been in jacuzzis, saunas and shower daily without any issues. the pic below is my beofre and after pic. I may go with a fuller set for the wedding, we'll see.

Of course you can, and you have options too. Base: Negligee (sheer pink with a subtle pearlescence), Clearly Pink (semi-sheer pink) or Romantique (opaque light pink, think of OPI bubble bath) Tip: Studio White (bright white) or Cream Puff (natural/off-white) My preference is Negligee or Clearly Pink as a base and Studio White on the tips; they’re the most natural combo in my opinion. I know many who prefer Romantique with Cream Puff, but this just seems so stark to me…probably a skin tone thing
  5. Hey Kal, I'm actually a bit of a Shellac snob... Many use the term Shellac to generalize all gel nail polish systems, but Shellac is a specific brand by CND. In my honest opinion it's the best gel polish brand and I've experimented with a few over the past 2 years. it has limited color options compared to its competitors, but the best pigmentation, protection, and healthiest option for natural nails in the long run. Aside from this, gel polish is a bit harder to work with and not all nail techs apply it well, I've seen and heard of a few sub-par applications. Finally I spent the months of January and February experimenting with wedding nail options and layering polish colors and know exactly what I want. I'm getting my nails done 5 days before the wedding and there will be minimal growth and since my nail color is neutral, I'm not too worried about it. Probably more of an opinion than what you were going for, but hopefully it helps you decide.

  7. Shannon, I was just thinking about you and wondering how your BD shoot went. Glad to hear that you enjoyed your experience and that you were happy with your pics. Good call with MAC, this is definitely a good option if hair and makeup isn’t included in BD package I still can’t decide when I want to present them. I’m either think during the first look or on our wedding night. Either way, I really want to be there and witness his reaction first hand. And Congrats on your new home.

  11. I cringe every time I see a 1 or star posting on trip advisor. I try to read these with a grain of salt, but when there's consistency in the types of complaints being written, I become very worried, but also happy that we will only be there for 4 nights. Per a conversation with my TA regarding the over booking issue, she did confirm that it happens (and not just at Now Jade) and can be an issue but only for those who book independently through sites like hotels.com, orbitz.com etc. since the reservations are being made at that instant, but there is a delay in reconciling these reservations directly with the resorts. This is the benefit of having a room block or booking directly with a resort since it's truly the only 100% guaranteed reservation. It would be nice if they notified prior to arrival, but they don’t for whatever reason.

  15. So sad that my Bachelorette Party weekend is over, but it was great fun and suprsingly didn't result in the worst hangover of my life. But I also consumed more water and coconut water in the 48hours than I thought was humanly possible, but it was a great pay-off. I was able to rally for brunch on Sunday and enjoyed a few bloody mary's. It was the perfect weekend to start off the next 4 weeks of sobriety.

  17. So after hours of searching through 100's of veils (no exaggeration), I found the perfect veil and I'm sooo in love with it, but it's too long. Does any know anything or have any experience with veil alterations? There are lace appliques along the perimeter and the 2 rows of piping shown are actually rows of 2mm seeded pearls. I have my second fitting on Saturday and will show detailed pics to my seamstress, but was curious as to whether an of my BDW brides have any experience with this.
