I think I have lost my mind - but I ordered a logo from Aylee - however, while I've been waiting, I've been thinking of it, and I don't think I'm going to be in love with it. Love her work - just don't think I chose a logo that suits what I want.... I decided to be adventurous and attempt to play with publisher to design my own today while I had some time. I think they came out ok, but let me know what you think! The one with our names will be for stationary, invites, etc.....and the one with just the location will be for the OOT bags, and maybe travel mugs so that people don't have our names plastered on them, in case they don't want that.

Great to know! Thanks for the info! I'm going to inquire to Ada/Yinette about La Brasa How did you find it as far as heat/humidity in the evening for dinner/reception? -
Wow Katie! I can't imagine what you must be going through - but it sure sounds like you and your FI are amazing people! I wish your FI a speedy recovery, and positive vibes to both of you to get through all of this! Your post was indeed, very inspiring! I think that it is amazing that you two are powering through this, being positive, and planning your wedding! When you two are standing up there getting married next year, the journey you've been on will make it all just that much more amazing on your special day! You bring up a great point about their being a thread for people dealing with illness in the midst of planning their wedding. I have actually been ill for the past year, and off work. I just finally got back to work a month ago, and I was immediately full steam ahead to plan my wedding, since I was heading back to work and feeling better! We had originally wanted to get married this year, but an entire year of being ill really did set us back. I went through many tests, specialists, more specialists, and a whole lot of boredeom and stress being off work and ill. It drove me nuts to finally be engaged, and not be able to plan my wedding I thought I was in the clear to start planning the wedding since I was finally back to work and had the next year to continue to get healthier....only to be set back the past week and a half with my illness. I was so inspired by your post, because just today I was thinking to myself, that perhaps I should postpone the wedding yet again. I really do want to power through, because I don't want to wait one more day to marry my man, and spend a week in the sun with my dearest friends and family. Here is to health and happiness for all brides, and grooms out there! Thanks for sharing your story - and again, I wish you and your FI all the best! My FI has been battling cancer since April of 2012. He has had chemo, one minor and two major surgeries. We were under the impression he was in the clear. We picked our resort, ordered STDs, made our wedding website and picked our bridal party. My FI began experiencing headaches that were abnormal. I emailed his oncologist and an MRI was ordered. On Valentine's Day, we were called and told that he had a 4cm brain tumor and to go to the hospital immediately. We have been so positive, but when you hear brain surgery, I thought the worst. He still made an effort to make me smile and happy on Valentine's Day even though we were in the hospital. The surgery was this morning. He looks great. They got the tumor. He has no side effects that we were warned of. It is amazing. The neurology team is amazing and sensitive and patient. We are waiting for the pathology to confirm that the tumor is cancer, and he has to start radiation if so. I am sharing this because I searched BDW site for a group for the people that are planning their wedding in the midst of illness. There didn't seem to be any. Not to preach, but cherish your health, and the health of your partner. I felt like the luckiest woman on earth today when I saw him in recovery. I share my story, because I know people will wish him the best. And we need that! On a lighter note, I am pumped to go back to planning. I came back from the hospital today to find my STDs delivered. It looks like I will have something to keep me busy while I keep him company in the hospital--carefully print the addresses of my favourite people on the planet to invite to my DW in Mexico. Keeping all my fingers and toes crossed that this is nearly the end of our journey with cancer. I hope this was inspiring rather than depressing. Katie

I've read up on the facebook group - as I was sure I've seen it posted before. There are a few brides there indicating that the Sand Extr. package does include open bar Thank goodness - you have me a little heart attack there...lol! I really don't see the Ocean Romance being worth the extras...but it would depend on your group/needs. -

I'm pretty sure that the Sand Ext. package also includes open bar - but now I'm freaking out! lol Any other brides know if the Sand. Ext. package included open bar for the coctail hour/reception? -
This is a fantastic site! Thanks for passing it along!

This is a good question! I have friends in the US but they are about 6 hours away.....I'd like to have this stuff shipped to my door, but if I have to avoid all of that crazy shipping, I may have it sent to my friend's house.

Oops! To clarify - I meant I hadn't chosen a "dinner/reception" venue yet. That is the part I don't think they let you choose too far in advance - but maybe the other brides here can help us out! As far as the ceremony location, I've picked that Beach all the way....praying for few onlookers...lol! I'm super happy the Judge was available for my 4pm time slot! -

Hi Kristina! I'll send you whatever I have. I'm going to go with the Sand Extravaganza package - not totally sure how many guests we will have yet - thinking around 40max. I don't think the hotel lets you confirm your location this far out, but I could be wrong From what I've read/heard - They like to have an idea of what sized groups they have on that day (as there are often more than one wedding per day). I'll have to look into this though - maybe some other brides have some input on this? Did they let you pick your dinner location way in advance, ie: when you booked the package? I'm sorry about the 11th! I'm sure you could still have your wedding that date if it's one you want - as I said I think they do more than one wedding per day. I do know that we have the beach for the ceremony, and the judge for 4pm thought. Good luck with narrowing it down and choosing your date! It's exciting to get word from them that you have your day Watch out for an email from me! -

Hey There, I've sent you everything I have! I'm an April 2013/Air transat bride too! Still trying to decide between the hotels packages, and Transats. There is fine print with transat too - which I might not meet. I may have up to 40 guests - but this is through 5 gateways across Canada. In order to qualify for the Transat packages - you have to have 12 people flying from the same gateway, same date, flight, etc. Check your email, and feel free to email me back! Hope the info helps - I got most of it from the amazing ladies on here! -

I'm not entirely sure of the exact room rate - as our rooms/airfare are one all inclusive price in Canada. However, for 7 nights, including air it is $1350 for us, and an additional 7 nights (without airfaire) puts us up to 2050. Doing the math - it seems we must be paying something around 110 per night? This is also for April - so month would play a factor in price. -

I'm in love with Vistaprint! We ordered our STD's and got them 80 percent off with free image upload. I think for 100 postcards, 400 return address labels, 200 envelopes - it was 33.00? I just did a "freebie" order today - got a pen, totebag, 250 bus cards (using them for keycard/tip money holder), 100 postcards (for photoshare site - putting in OOT bag), a rubber stamp, and I made a Tshirt for my gramma - saying Grandmother of the Bride. Everything was FREE and I only had to pay one flat shipping rate of 7.99! Yay for Vistaprint. I think I am going to do our welcome brochures, more tshirts for various people, more postcards in lieu of a guestbook, and maybe our thank you cards. -
Thanks Kim! That site is fantastic! I'm bookmarking it, and when I finally have a better idea of the number of OOT bags I'll be needing - I'm totally ordering from this site! I am thinking of getting tylenol, pepto, immodium, the lens cleaning wipes (super cheap and great for sunglasses!), and the little sewing kit (which is also super cheap!).

Hey Ladies - Just a head's up to those looking for vista print deals - they just sent out an 80% off email the other day, and this morning I got a 100% off certain items (bus. cards/postcards) I've already done my STD's, but think I'll take advantage of the new postcard offer to order some "photo sharing" postcards for the OOT bags.

Great idea! I am just starting to shop around for my OOT bags now. I want tote bags, insulated travel mugs, keycard/tip money holders, and then some hangover/necessity kits. I am hoping that I can find some affordable options, especially with shipping to Canada!
