Allie - did you get all one colour for your whole group, or are you just doing a mix (but skipping the ugly brown ones?!) lol I am thinking I'm going to have to be flexible on colour if I want to get them....unless I order them from the shopbubba site, but that is way more expensive....

I know! I'm having the same issue - I went to the closest one, and the colours suck They only have brown and grey... I think they should give you a raincheque if they don't have the colours you want! ....I'm going to try a few more stores this week....might take Friday and go to the 5 CT's that are within an hour.....ugh!

Ok! Good to know! I'm going to take a run into the store and look at the 20oz vs. 32 oz. in person - I think you could be right - the 20oz is enough (and cheaper). We have between 35-50 guests (not sure until all deposits are in)....so I imagine I'll have to have one big suitcase devoted to OOT bags.....bleh!

Hey Allie, What sized kegs did you end up getting? 32 oz or 20oz? I'm going to continue to watch the sales, and hope the alerts work that I signed up for! I also looked on the shopbubba website - but it appears the CT sales are actually better!

Kristy... I'm in the same boat as you - I want the bubba "keg" style vs. the travel mug/coffee cup style. I'm having a hard time waiting to see if they go on sale, but I imagine they do. I may just try to find a Canadian Tire in my area where the travel mugs are sold out - go in and get a raincheck for what I need. This will let me buy some time.......to wait to see if the others go on sale...LOL. You can sign up for alerts on the Canadian Tire site too and it will let you know when your item is going on sale. I've set alerts for all of the bubba products. Alicia

My Travel agent was able to get me pricing for Dreams La Romana, Gran Bahia La Romana, Gran Bahia Jamaica, and Ocean Blue - Punta Cana over a month ago........we didn't end up going with Dreams as it was more than I wanted to ask my guests to pay... but she was able to do pricing back then. (For April 2013) She got us pricing through Transat, and we have 30 spaces reserved with just our two deposits for 90 days for our guests to get their deposits in. PM me if you would like her contact info - she is north of Toronto somewhere, but I'm from Kingston, ON and have just been dealing with her via phone/email.

The 34 oz ones are on sale for 6 something as well......and the sale is valid in Ontario

Oh I'm totally going to stalk your wedding Don't worry though, I PROMISE I won't be one of those people in bathing suits standing in the way of your pics! In fact, if I'm hanging around the beach that day, I'll totally help you keep the onlookers at a good distance! A brides gotta help a fellow bride out! You will absolutely have to find me - I'll give you every bit of last minute advise I can think of! My guests will be leaving on the 13th, so I should have lots of time for a post wedding drink (or two!)

OOPS! I see you already have your date! Congrats! And yes - it feels good to have the photographer too! Now that I have travel, wedding with hotel, and photographer booked, I feel like I can relax a bit, finally!

Glad your site visits went well! We're booked at Ocean Blue as they had good pricing for our guests I don't think it's too soon at all to book vendors if you're ready to do so! I just booked Caribbean Emotions for our April 2013 wedding, and when I asked for their availability my wedding week, they already had 3 bookings. Once you have your date booked with the hotel, you'll breathe easier - at least I did! Happy Planning!

What hotels are you considering? Fingers crossed for you that your TA can get you a good price I'm sure it will all work out! I started off with Dreams La Romana, but my TA could get us was 1800pp from one gateway, and 2000pp from out west. I just couldn't ask my guests to pay that, as some are students, large families, etc. I quickly changed my hotel choice lol

You may also want to check out HDC photos - they have the same sort of packages, for a similar price. I can't really even tell you what made me decide on one over the other between them and Caribbean Emotions - just gut feeling I guess. Also - once you decide on your resort - make sure they don't charge a crazy outside vendor fee to bring in a photographer! Some resorts I was considering charged $300+ as a fee to bring one in....crazy! With Ocean Blue (and I believe plenty of other resorts) we just have to pay the day pass fee, as we would for an outside guest ($50).

It may have something to do with the fact that you are from the USA? Here in Canada, there are about 6 different tour operators (Transat, Sunquest, Air Canada Vacations, etc.)....and they all have a certain amount of spaces with each resort. We book our travel as a whole package (flight/hotel/airport transfer) - and even though flight schedules aren't out yet, they know what days they will be operating on, etc. I had a few Canadian TA's tell me we "couldn't" obtain pricing, but I kept searching until I found one who was great to deal with, and could get me pricing now. She secured a group rate for us out of each of our departure citys (we have 4 across Canada) for April 6-13. We can hold 30 spots for 90 days with no deposit (except Bride/Groom's) which is great for our guests to give them time to get deposits ready. Even though we have to wait to see our flight schedules, we know what days we'll be flying, and that our price is secured I don't think it means you have a bad TA - I think maybe it might just be different in the US? Will the resort not allow you to book until May? I had several TA's tell me that I had to wait to book as well...but then I found a few who got me pricing, and booked our travel right away.
