Fingers crossed for you with the photographer! I totally agree that you might as well have fun with the AHR invites, too! I haven't even thought that far ahead yet. I know my AHR will be very casual, so I assume that my invitations will convey that - but I still want them to be funky/fun! Let us know what you decide on, I'm sure they will be great!

So jealous that you have everything pretty much done! Did you end up finding your new photog yet? I saw some invites somewhere (wish I could remember where) that were flip flips - and were super cute. Not sure if that is along the lines you were thinking of - but it's a thought. I think it would be cool to have the AHR invites fall into a travel theme as well, since it was a destination wedding.

I think spring break can be March, all the way through April depending on the school, and location. Easter long weekend is also around the time you are thinking.....I was originally wanting the last week of March 2013, but have changed, on the advice of my TA to deparing the week of April 6th. I'm not sure if it is the same in Mexico - but she strongly urged us to stay away from the Easter weekend all together in the Dominican, as it is their biggest holiday, and not a great time to travel. What I did, to be safe, was I chose a hotel that specifically states on their website that they don't do student groups. I think they had an issue (through checking tripadvisor) with a group of Michigan Highschool students the first week of april a few years back,and so many people complained they eliminated student groups from booking. Happy planning!

Well now it appears my guest list is growing. We originally thought we would have about 20 people, and now it seems we have 30 for sure, and possibly up to 60! So - an excursion is OUT...lol! I think people will certainly understand, especially with the size of our group. I think that everyone will appreciate the OOT bags I plan to do - which will be minimal if our guest list is huge, but it's still something nice for everyone to welcome them.

That's awesome! I never thought, I could do a magnet calendar! I think I'm going to use vista print for everything I can - will have to do the Passport invites myself though, or get them done somewhere if I can find a reasonable price.

I use just regular dish soap, and hot water. I will let it soak for a while if I have time, then use a soft makeup brush to get into all the nooks and crannies....and rinse with hot water. It comes out amazing every time! If I am in a hurry, I just run the tap (with the drain plug in!!!) with hot water, put a little dish soap on the brush, scrub, rinse, and wear! Takes 30 seconds, and comes out great! The makeup brush is so soft I can't see it doing any damage, and dish soap is gentle as well

I feel ya! I'm 28, and while I'm sure our group will enjoy a bit of partying during our wedding week - there is a BIG difference between a spring break party week, and our wedding I think I have finally decided on Ocean Blue, and see that their site now says that they do not take student group bookings

So...I think I've chosen a resort! Ocean Blue & Sand, Punta Cana. I'm so excited, and it feels so great to have chosen a resort. I think our week will be April 6-13, 2013....with the wedding date being on the 11th possibly. Have to work that out with the hotel, and judge, as we want a legal wedding!

Good plan - I think I will wait - I think I will send them out when we officially book a date with the hotel/judge, which could be a bit! I really don't even need them, but I want them - especially at a bargain price...haha.

That is amazing!!! I love vistaprint! I did STD postcards, and just got them (early) and now I see magnets are on super cheap (100 including shipping for like 25.00)....

I found save the date magnets at vistaprint - they were 80% off, so 100 of them including shipping only came to arond $25.00. I find vistaprint sends out promo emails all the time with great pricing
