Dreams Punta Cana Review!!! AMAZING! Hey Ladies, I just returned from Dreams Punta Cana where I spent 10 days and had our wedding with 31 guests. I was so nervous about how everything would turn out but if you have chosen here..don't be! I had Yessica as my wedding coordinator and she was just amazing. The most polite, friendly person I have ever worked with. She absolutely did anything we wanted and worked as hard as possible to make us happy. I have tons of pictures if anyone is interested. We originally had our reception set for the Himitsu Terrace after our sunset wedding on the beach. The day before Yessica informed us that there was a group of 220 locals that had rented the ballroom (Himitsu is right outside) and that we may want to consider moving since there are so many people that will be coming in and out. They offered us the Portifino Restaraunt which honestly was the best thing to happen. It was air conditioned and just beautiful. I didn't think heat would be a problem in November but it was still very humid the night of our reception. We also had half of the portifino terrace which is just beautiful! We had a cigar roller (definitely recommend) outside on the terrace and then our dinner and dancing inside the restaraunt. The service and food was impecible. Wilkins (our bartender) did not let anyone go wanting another drink. We had the Beef Tenderloin with potatoes which everyone in our group just loved. It was cooked just right. We hired the "professional DJ" which was good bc they had a seperate MC to annouce you and get things going. If you do the regular DJ they just play music and are not bilingual. The wedding on the beach was gorgeous. Yessica performed the ceremony bc the judge was not available (kind of odd but apparentlyl this happens a lot just FYI) but he later came to the reception and remarried us and we signed all the legal paperwork. They said there is only one judge for the island or area so he doesn't always make the ceremony even though you are paying for it. She actually did a better job bc she read a poem and made it a little more ceremonial rather than legal sounding. I had rose petals placed down the sand, the chairs come covered but I brought some chair ribbons and she gladly put them on for me. There is a permanent Huppa with white covering on the beach that was pefect. I didn't add any other flowers but you could. For the reception, I had table runners and bows that I brought. Then just rented a hurricane filled with candles, sand and shells. It was very pretty. You can also get various flowers as centerpieces but we opted to just do the candles. The flowers for the bouquets were perfect. She painted the roses to match my bridesmaids dresses. Yessica paid attention to every detail to make it perfect! One last idea that turned out wonderfully. We opted not to do a rehersal or welcome dinner but just told everyone to meet us for dinner. They were able to seat us together and we didn't have to spend the 15 pp. We then did the bonfire on the beach with bar service. I think this was our guests favorite part. They set up a huge bonfire with lounge chairs all around. We just brought down our Ipod and then had a little bar set up right there on the beach. It was so much fun!
