  1. I did but I did so the long way. I printed on one side (and paid attention to the orientation coming out of the printer), then just flipped them over and put them back in the printer and printed on the other side. It took some time and effort to get right, but my printer doesn't do two-sided printing.
  2. No, we just signed a contract with the resort for the room rates and are going to book flights as they become available. That way we can give people a concrete price for the room and tell them an approximate one for the flight.
  3. My only concern is the price of the ink printing them out. Did you go through a lot to make all of those?
  4. I love the message in a bottle idea and the quilt idea!!! I have also heard of people having their guests sign puzzles pieces then putting it together and framing it for their wall...
  5. I have booked my wedding at Riu Ocho Rios for April 2013 and had no problem. You just have to have your TA call and they will negotiate a price for it. I had the same problem with my first travel agent because she was booking flight WITH the hotel and flights for that far in advance are not available yet. You can always get room rates ahead of time though. I switched to Teresa at Wright Travel (the travel agency that runs this forum) and have had absolutely no issues doing things early. It definitely helps if your TA deals specifically with destination weddings.
  6. I got my cardstock from Papers and More and I got the pearlescent white. I bought the 8 1/2 by 11 because I used the template from Aylee's and it is already set up to print 3 per page. It worked out perfectly.
  7. That is awesome! I tend to just stop by those stores on the weekends and see what they have that I might need. Definitely one plus to having a long engagement!!!
  8. Is it very busy there? Do we need to go early in the morning like we would if we got our pics done at Dunn's River Falls?
  9. I have to agree! I am booking through Teresa at Wright Travel Agency, who handles Jamaican destination weddings and she is fantastic!
  10. Kellygrrrl your post popped up after I had started typing. Those look fantastic and thank you so much for the Etsy link! *Sorry for all the typos ladies... Was typing too fast!
  11. The BubbaKeg website offers personalization on orders of 48+. While many people don't need these many, they do have a link to where you can get personalized water/etc resistant stickers personalized. Plus, if you spend more than $150 they give you a code for %15 off. So my order of 24 was only $175. And I didn't have to go from store to store to get the quantity I needed.
  12. Also, if you have a Dollar General or just a Dollar Store they are a pretty good place to get some of those things too. I have found quite a few treasures!
  13. Your pics are just gorgeous! And so helpful! I showed them to my fiance and now he is set on having pictures taken at Coyaba!
  14. How long are you staying? I think my TA mentioned that we either had to stay a total of 6 or 7 nights OR had to have 5 rooms booked. Do you have a travel agent? I can probably just shoot mine a quick email and ask her if she knows if you don't.
  15. I think I remember quite a few ramps, but I don't know for sure about the wheelchair accessibility. The food was ok. The Steakhouse wasn't that great but the Chinese restaurant was awesome and we decided to go back a second night! Otherwise, the regular buffet has a lot of different options, so unless vegetarian or something like that, most people can find something they will like. When is your wedding?
  16. I don't know the exact number for sure, but when I requested my date, I had a choice between 3 available time slots for a Saturday. As far as feedback, I chose this resort since I had been here before and I LOVED it! I can't wait to go back! Let me know if you have any specific questions. I will do my best to answer what I can!
  17. I have been to Riu Ocho Rios already once before and I have to say it was fantastic. That is why I chose it for my wedding... no surprises. I would have to agree with the others, it was nice to be close to all of the excursions. I preferred the one long ride to the resort from the airport compared to multiple long rides as we did 5 different excursions. I don't think you would go wrong with either though! Good luck!
  18. I have decided to only enlist the help of a travel agent for my destination wedding, as the resort I am going to handles many of the wedding details. That being said, a travel agent can be an excellent source in finding a decent wedding coordinator! I am using Teresa from Wright Travel Agency and even though she is located nowhere near me, she has already been ten times more helpful than the TA I was using in the beginning here at home. She pretty much has the skinny on where to go to for what and seeing as they are the travel agency that put this blog together, they know many of the wedding coordinators in that area and which ones are worth using. Just a suggestion... I hope everything works out for you! Good luck!!!
