  1. That is such a great idea KalikLove! We had that problem with my sister's wedding where quite a few people actually forgot to put their names on them.
  2. Isn't it funny. I am so scared that I am going to hear some really good idea right before I leave and I won't be able to do it.
  3. Thanks! I think it is the one thing I am going to splurge for, but only for my wedding party. Lands End has some REALLY nice ones (they are huge!) and they personalize them, but they are $30/piece. I normally wouldn't get them, but I have one and I absolutely love it!
  4. My Uncle is a photographer and he is going to be staying the entire trip as well. When I talked to the wedding coordinator, she said it wasn't a problem as long as he was staying with us.
  5. Yes, please let us know what you think about afloral. Still trying to decide where to purchase my flowers from.
  6. Thanks! I will just have to work it out. It sounds like the top loading printers work better with the thicker paper and that's what I have, so hopefully it will work!
  7. I actually plan on incorporating my FI's grandmother's initials on the cufflinks I am having made for him. Something to sort of match the photo pendants I am putting on my bouquet.
  8. I was having the same dilemma until I had TONS of people asking me for details. I think as soon as people are trying to get info and start making their plans it is a good time to send them out. My STD's have a link to our website as well as contact info for our TA. I say go for it.
  9. Thank you for sharing! I have been trying to figure out a good place to get the first aid kits and I never thought of Medco!
  10. First let me say that these look AMAZING! A lot of people try to go overboard with graphics and such and these look simple and classy. That being said, maybe a little more color on the second and third pages? Since you have the darker purple and teal colors, it wouldn't look tacky to have some of the text in that color. Maybe just the headings in color?
  11. Thanks for the info! I am thinking I am stuck with 65-80 anyway, because the parchment look I want I can only find in those weights anyway. I am going with the metallic for the outside jacket though, so I may have to just figure something out.
  12. I am trying to do things in stages. Stage #1 for me is to simply STOP eating when I am full, limit my portions. Etc... It is very hard to do any kind of major lifestyle change cold turkey. Try to break it up into manageable goals. Once you have gotten used to one change, move on to tackling the next. Also, I purchased the Power90 program (precursor to P90X, for those people like me that are COMPLETELY out of shape) and it so far has been fantastic at mixing some weight training in with cardio. Good luck no matter what! I know it is difficult to do but you are not alone!!!
  13. I have been looking for a cheap way to do exactly that for such a long time! Thanks for the info!!!
  14. Thank you so much for sharing! I am definitely going to have to use this for a pic for my Thank you's!
  15. Mine is quite similar and I absolutely LOVE it! Going to get two smaller diamond bands on each side for the wedding bands. Sorry about the picture quality. Had to take the pic with my phone!
  16. I did a little math and it seems like as long as it doesn't take more than one set of ink cartridges for my STD's (I only have to make about 40), it is still cheaper to do them myself. I have had to go down to a lower weight of cardstock though since I read that people were having issues with the paper being too thick for their home printers though. Anyone have any insight into a good weight for paper that would still be thick enough but not have problems jamming in the printer?
  17. Hi all! I am getting married April 27, 2013 at Riu Ocho Rios and I am super excited. Have the wedding booked and have a block of rooms reserved!!! I am so happy to see that someone else is sending out STD's as early as I am. I just have a lot of people already asking me questions about how they can start booking their arrangements and it is easier to get those out with the wedding website address on them which will answer most of their questions! I went with Teresa with Wright Travel and she has been AMAZING! For everyone who was wondering about a TA I would HIGHLY recommend the ones that run this forum. Could not ask for more in a travel agent!
  18. Even though she doesn't contact you until right before your wedding, you can still email her with questions. She just doesn't start the planning of your wedding til it gets closer. She is more than happy to answer any questions that come up in the meantime.
  19. I think you are going to find good and bad with every place you look at. In the end, you just have to decide what details are important to you and make decisions based on that. I think you can't go wrong between those two though...
  20. The hardest part is the spacing on the back page and getting it to match with the front. I didn't print out the outline of the invites on the second page of course because they would have been backwards. I just made sure that what I printed would be centered on each invite individually.
