I am trying to do things in stages. Stage #1 for me is to simply STOP eating when I am full, limit my portions. Etc... It is very hard to do any kind of major lifestyle change cold turkey. Try to break it up into manageable goals. Once you have gotten used to one change, move on to tackling the next. Also, I purchased the Power90 program (precursor to P90X, for those people like me that are COMPLETELY out of shape) and it so far has been fantastic at mixing some weight training in with cardio.
